  1. I have not seen much quality but plenty of over priced service on BMW's lately. Of the 3 coworkers I know that have BMW's, 2 of them dumped them over the weekend. Once bought a new CTS and the other actually dumped it for a lexus. Interesting that they both say BMW has become over priced and poor quality compared to other vendors out there. Maybe it is time BMW takes a hard look at them selves.
  2. Any one hear of any updates? Rasertech.com still says they will have fleets of the H3 hybrid in place this summer for use as they polish their software and get it ready to go into public production in 2010 for being able to sell their 100MPG H3 to the public. So I wonder if they are buying it or just who????? Would be nice to get this updated to know what really is going to happen to hummer. I did see a ton of 2009 H2, H3 and H3T on the lot at the dealership this weekend. Some awesome pricing if only one could get finanace.

  4. In regards to this comment: " The CTS-V can't match the BMW for fit and finish (one example: when raising the driver-seat headrest, the anchor plugs pulled out of the seat back)," When I was up at Dougs Cadillac / Hummer in North Seattle this weekend, I checked out the two CTS-V's they had, one in black and the other in the red color. I would have to think the idiot who was moving the head rest was really stupid as I even pulled hard on them and could not pull out the headrest along with the anchor plugs. Something just does not add up. I will say that the recardo seats while nice and very racy I would not want as they are too hard especially if you were going to go on a nice road trip to carve up some mountains like the North Cascade highway would be awesome for this car to eat up. The standard seats are perfect to me. Glad they still felt the V was #1, but as I stated earlier, their nit picking is stupid as they really could not find much to bitch about as their German driving machine is not up to the task of World Class.
  5. Weird and I question the value of this award when the only caddilac listed is the escallade. I would have thought we would have also seen the CTS.
  6. I find both your replys very interesting, This brings up a strong feeling I have that the future is away from the Engine size war. Rasertech has shown that you can totally keep the offroad and trailering capabilities of the H3 hummer by using a large performance electric motor, this same motor also has reduced the 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times. As such, I can see us driving our large SUV / Trucks and for those that want a small two door sports car all with purpose built electric motors that can out perform what the gas engines can do. As such we will end up seeing smaller and smaller enginers that are more efficient in producing electricity to recharge the battery pack as you drive a auto that is driven by electric motors. Mark my word, by 2020 we will see most vehicles going electric and the 3rd partry companies are the ones that product performance electric parts, motors, etc.
  7. Yea, with Brocade closing the engineering site here in Kirkland, WA and Microsoft having just let another 2500 engineers go, the job search is very lousy and I am actually thinking it might be time to try something else. Hate the Idiots in this country who think the way to profit is to out source your job to india. Wake up America, out sourcing is a short term fix for Upper mgmt stupidity over not doing the right job to begin with, not budgeting properly, not managing the project properly, not PIPing the poor performing employees, etc. The list is long but I am not too much of a I do not give a $h! as I am tired of working my ass off for a company that cannot look long term to making things happen the right way. Nice is the weather here in Seattle has been awesome.
  8. I think ZL-1 Burnt it as we all know how much of a Piro he is!

  12. My feeling for the exterior styling only. Sadly The interior is a big looser. Dougs Northwest Caddilac and hummer dealership had a big weekend review of the 2010 SRX. Compared to my 04 SRX, there is a large reduction in interior space. The T shaped dash cuts big time into leg room, If you are over 6' tall then no one will be able to sit behind you so this is no longer a 4 person auto. Due to the exterior shape, the interior head room for the back seat passengers is curved so you end up having to bend your kneck to the center if you are tall. Worst yet is that between the C & D pillar is the biggest blind spot I have ever seen, you really have to check and double check your mirrors as well as sholder check due to the big blind spot. Dash is very nice, I like the over all design and layout. Noticed a few trim issues that I hope are truly resolved on the production runs. Strange issue was the two level cup holders. They had a push button that would release the mid level shelf so you have a deeper cup holder, but you really had to use your fingers to get the cup holder to go back into that shallower tray. Hope this is done better in production, otherwise it comes across as a cheap plastic tray that does not work that well. Trunk area is much smaller on the new SRX but you do gain some very nice interior trays and functionality. Seats were more comfortable than the existing SRX but I did notice one small issue for me, unlike my escalade head rests that tilt forward, the new SRX headrests are fixed and only go up and down. I feel this is a mistake as no two people have the same size head, shape etc and need to adjust the head rest. Engine was solid and quite, while this was an AWD version, you could clearly tell on the drive it is bias'd to the front wheels. Yet for all the people there that got to test drive it and check it out, I did not hear anyone complain about this. The engine cover probably due to being on the road for shows and test drives was cracked and chipped and really should have been replaced. I figure it got this way due to servicing. Wheels are nice and look sharp, small issue here is that the Rotors had considerable rust on them in places and this shows up through the rims. I would think GM would want this to look clean and not like some low end thrown together auto. I always find lots of rust on Ford and chevy and dodge entery level auto's. This is NOT something I expect to see on a luxury auto. Over all I give it a solid B+. Due to the restrictive interior room and small little issues I ran into this car could have very well been an A or A+ auto. I wish GM the best with selling this new cadillac, but I think it will not exceed the outgoing SRX and that to me is a shame.
  13. I like all the colors except the Atlantic Blue Metallic, that color looks really weird on it. Over all I still really like this auto, looking forward to it coming to my local dealership. Give me a reason to stop by and test drive.

  15. Yea Chris you are right about Tacoma, that City south of Seattle is as worthless as tits on a bull. O'h wait you were talking about the other worthless bull, the toyo Tacoma. My bad! :AH-HA_wink:

  18. Sweet, once they apply the Red GMC, it should be very tight, I like it allot. Gonna have to swing through the GMC dealership this weekend and see if they got one yet.
  19. Personally, I would rebuild it and go custom then you can achieve what you want rather than just upgrading to the series II motor.
  20. Sad as it is a true end of a dynasty. Happyness as it is a birth and start of a new GM that hopefully will finally not repeat the mistakes of the past.

  22. Thank you, Good Luck to your dealership. The next 12 months are going to be rough for everyone.

  24. What are the specific vehicles that your dealership sells? Just wondering if there is any overlay with the one that is being closed 20 miles away. If anyone finds the $h! list please post it as I am interested in knowing myself. As of 11am seattle time, I called up the street and the Lee Johnson Chevorolet dealership is safe, but there is a smaller one only 10 miles up the road in Bothell that I suspect will close as it is only a third the size of Lee Johnson. I also called the Kirkland BPG dealership and they said they are safe and staying open. So at least both Kirkland Dealerships are safe. It was nice to see that after all the closings last winter that the lone Kirkland Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep dealership here is staying open.
