  2. I agree, they should each only have 1 model but with a wider variety of packages. As myself and a few others have stated, Hummer should have been an off-road package for GMC. An example of this is I can clearly see an Acadia and Acadia Plus with base to AT4 and Denali packages plus if you really want a brute then get the Hummer Package kind of thinking. A single model that offers a wide variety of packages to meet a diverse buying publics desires.
  3. Very cool, love auto projects like this. Weird that it still only has a single exhaust and weird that at the end of the video when he is pulling back into the place he took off from that you can hear what sounds like a lifter tap.
  4. My own seeing of Genesis cars and inquiring at the parts counter to see cost of parts, service counter for cost of service and warranty. I can get one of these Luxury Cars cheaper with better warranty and way lower cost of ownership than MB charges for their S-Class. Going back and forth between the cars at the Seattle auto show, fit n finish is amazing on the Genesis. There are areas that at least right now Koreans are focusing on the littlest detail over what i see physically on the S-Class. So YES, This is My own assessment based on looking at the G90 and S-Class at the autoshow and comparing service costs, parts costs and online repair info. Seems Genesis did their homework on building a better mouse trap for the rich.

  8. I honestly question why does Quebec need to mirror France. The French that moved there wanted a clean start, better life. Stop trying to be France and be yourself as a Canadian that speaks french. If you love France so much, move there. I agree with @oldshurst442 that I question just how much they will sell in any other province or state. Yes a few will sell to people who really want to be different, but I remember Peugeot and they were crap made auto's. I really question them even now coming back.
  9. IDIOT!, The board needs to remove his accounts. I would even say they need to consider removing him from the role of CEO. He clearly is a smart man but has no self control over what and how he affects others. Musk really makes me have no desire for any Tesla product. I really do wonder how long reservation holders will wait or if they will before they move onto other products as other OEMs start to deliver their EVs. ? Musk is screwing the company rather than focusing on growing and building it as a profitable long range company.
  10. I honestly agree with you. I get that the company is attempting to grow their business, but I think someone pulled the wool over the boards heads about the US potential. I see nothing in the Peugeot stable that is going to be a game changer.

  12. The Trump Administration and the EPA officials have scrapped all further talks with California and canceled the $929 million in federal funds for a California high-speed rail project. California's Governor has responded that this is in response to California leading a 16 state coalition challenge to President Trump's national emergency to take funds from the defense department and apply it to building a wall from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean. California has already filed suit to block the Trump administration proposal to roll back federal fuel economy targets for 2022-2025. CARB Chair Mary Nichols is on record that they are willing to work with the auto industry in giving more flexibility to comply with the greenhouse gas limits. This came as the White house administration instructed the EPA to break off talks before Christmas and have not responded to any suggested areas of compromise by California and the 19 states they are representing nor the auto industry suggestions for compromise. While FCA declined to comment, GM and the Alliance for Automobile Manufacturers did not respond to a request for comment. Ford has stated they are very disappointed in the failure of continued talks. Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of global operations said in a statement: "The auto industry needs regulatory certainty, not protracted litigation." Was checking out a Germany News Show that was discussing the crazy American Politics and the Lady said in German, which was auto translated into CC English: "In America you call it the Alt Right" In Germany we call it "Why Grandpa lives in Argentina now and does not visit" I have to say, watching some of the English Europe News shows with their editorial of what goes on is just too funny. I also loved the how many in Europe feel Britain Elite screwed the population with the Brexit vote referring to it as playing Russian Roulette with a 9mm that has blanks along with bullets but has said it will not really hurt when the blanks go off in your mouth. BCC is just cracking me up this morning.
  16. Very true, but even then it was an old couple that seems to keep it clean and tidy, but the panel gaps and alignment still surprises me for any car built after 2000. Ford clearly cared very little for building a quality Taurus me think.
  17. Yes a loaded RS towards the top equaling a base XT5. The point being is many of us see no value in that Blazer at that price point when you can get an AWD XT5 loaded almost identically that has a nicer interior / exterior package for less coin. That is the only reason of bringing this up. As has been pointed out my friend, many will not cross shop Chevrolet and Cadillac, but a few will and with that, there are better options out there than this Blazer. End result is there are Baked Potatoes and there are Twice Baked Potatoes. It is all about choice and those of us car nuts see better option with the Twice Baked Potato even when it is the entry level than the regular baked potato.
  18. At Fred Meyers gasing up and a grey Ford Taurus X station wagon pulls up to gas. Ugly autos and fit n finish is terrible from what I can see. I see no reason to buy them.
  19. @Drew Dowdell @caddycruiser @regfootball @Robert Hall So I decided to compare the XT5 AWD to the Blazer RS AWD and in getting as close as possible in matching vehicles. The XT5 comes out cheaper in both total cost and leasing. This just DOES NOT make sense for GM.
  20. Toyota sells allot of the TRD Pro lineup here, I can see VW making bank selling the T-Roc R here.

Why bother when they can just apply the Prius technology to their existing Toyota lineup and give the customers who want Hybrids, hybrids or EVs on the same named and looking platform as those that want their ICE auto. I think a Prius sub-brand would be killed just like Toyota's last sub-brand.
  22. Very cool news. Wish the battery pack was bigger, but this is a great first step towards better emission auto's.
  23. This is good news as long as car sales last for Honda, though I think they will continue to reduce down as CUV/SUV sales take over and with the move to EVs, I can see Cars becoming a very minor sale item as people want the all activity vehicle that EV will allow I think.
  24. Sharp looking little bugger, it would do well here I think in the US. They should bring it over immediately.
