  1. True, but then that is the Value engine and the 6.0 is fine for the Chevy top end. Not like they could not retune the chip and get more out of the 6.0. Leave something different for GMC and Cadillac. I do wonder if GM will detune the 6.2 so it falls under GMC, which sadly does have the same HP / Torque as the Cadillac.
  2. Magna Ride and the 6.2L V8, why should someone buy a Cadillac then if Chevy and GMC have the same core? ?
  3. Totally agree with you there. I am looking forward to Porsche handing Tesla their Ass. :P Ludicrous mode will be trumped by whatever mode Porsche comes up with I think.
  4. Always cool to look at GMs Chinese models only by their other names. https://media.gm.com/media/cn/en/gm/photos.html Baojun Jiefang Wuling BJW are 3 name plates I did not realize GM had till I started looking through their photo section.
  5. Even in reduced mode, I bet the tesla would still beat many cars. Tesla has already stated that once the fine tune the track option that is in the Model 3, it will get pushed out to the S model and I suspect they know they have to have a true track mode since Porsche is doing it as well as BMW and Daimler.
  6. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2019-tesla-model-3-performance-on-track-driving/ https://cleantechnica.com/2018/07/31/mountain-pass-performance-unlocks-tesla-model-3-track-mode-shatters-track-record-cleantechnica-exclusive/ Both above on the Model 3. While the Tesla S did not finish in full power mode last time in Germany, it did do an impressive first 3 min. https://insideevs.com/expected-tesla-model-s-fails-lap-nurburgring-full-power-video/ Best quote of the Nissan GT-R developer Lead who tested the Tesla S on the track was as follows: “The lap itself was around 10 minutes Bridge to Gantry (in heavy traffic) but unfortunately the car went into a reduced power mode about 3 minutes in due to excess battery heat (at least, that’s my guess).” “However, before it did it was able to keep a GT3 RS going full chat, within shouting distance (at the 2:00 mark) far longer than any 4,700lb sedan has a right to.” “I think without the reduced power output and traffic, a B-T-G lap under nine minutes is possible. According to the Bridge To Gantry site, that would put it in the company of some really quick hot hatches.” This story was from 2014, so I have to assume much has been overcome since then in the last 4 years. Here is the updated story when a p90D was taken to the track.https://evobsession.com/tesla-model-s-p90d-nurburgring-video/ Over all seems Tesla still has their limits built in after 3min of aggressive driving to reduce power output but a 10 min lap time still. Course Porsche is clearly going for the full meal as their testing on the track shows what a dialed in EV car can do, especially as heavy as these 4 doors are. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-s-rival-porsche-mission-e-nurburgring-sighting/
  7. That is a tiny CUV. I loved the look of the concept. I wonder how much they will keep. Probably not much. :(
  8. Yet Tesla is just not fast in straight line, they have done extremely well in track courses as well as other types of driving.
  9. Hellcat Prius, who would have thunk!
  10. If it is then why can the majority of ICE be handed their ass in performance by Tesla?
  11. Welcome Dennis, great to have you here. Please in the New member thread introduce yourself to everyone. We love to hear about your auto interests and passions. I agree, they need to address the drop in MPG for better understanding.
  12. I am wondering if they are using those plastic push pins to hold it on and water builds up under the bumper and the weight causes it to drop off. Either way, this shows just how cheap they have gotten in their poor quality of bumpers. Tesla has some great tech and superior built electronics, but their assembly is anything but quality and right now I say they are where KIA / Hyundai are when they first started in the auto industry. Crap
  13. You complain about the weird looking i Series and how they lack looking like normal auto's. Now a normal looking EV is coming and you pre-Judge it. You do not know how it will be received. A normal looking 3 series like the rest of the family, with 300 miles of range and less maintenance cost, lower fueling costs and quiet sounds like a win for those that are tired of waiting for the over rated Tesla Model 3.
  14. Agree the i8 is overpriced, over rated. The 330e is a flop as a mild hybrid with only 14 miles is a joke, not worth the cost. I truly think the next OEM with a 300 mile range pure EV is going to take Tesla's lunch of a model 3 swdan. Tesla quality is a joke and I do believe there is enough demand that once you get another builder making a car or cuv with a 300 mile range that can produce in quantity with quality that Tesla will hurt.
  15. On the bus heading home. Just saw a powder blue lambrogini. Ugly as heck, never seen the design before, but
  16. I can understand what you are saying, but that weight is a warm up set for me in squats in the gym ?️‍♂️
  17. Not really, as stated in the write up it was put against the Harley Davidson Street Glide in base form which does not have the side bages or all the covers and that starts at 810 lbs. To me and yes I know I am much bigger than you, this bike would be no big deal to handle. Love the Looks, kinda reminds me of a Judge Dredd bike.
  18. Way too funny seeing that label above the Fake Tail pipes. I honestly hope they come out of the gate right with a 300 mile battery pack. Put tesla in their place. After reviewing these pictures, if BMW truly delivers on an EV sedan with 300 miles that you cannot tell apart from an ICE Series 3 sedan, they will really hit Tesla hard as I think most people will take an EV without even thinking about it. Just another Torquay silent car that glides along, charging on cheap electricity with lower maintenance.
  19. Weird, used to just work with pasting the twitter link and it would show up, but since the photo issue, twitter does not show. At least the pic or screen grabs does. Weird that bumpers are coming off in heavy rain. What are they zip tied together and the water gathering in the bumper causes it to rip off?

  21. http://www.thedrive.com/news/22838/this-dystopian-kalashnikov-designed-motorcycle-will-join-putins-official-motorcade I have to say this motorcycle has really grown on me. I like the look/style. Top speed 155 mph for a 1,124 lb bike 147 HP 132 lb-ft of torque 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds What are your thoughts?
  22. Interesting, stories are popping up that the Saudi fund has no interest in Bank rolling Tesla going private. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/08/11/saudi-fund-no-interest-bankrolling-tesla-buyout/ ? Could this be Musks Down Fall? ?
  23. Love this Volkswagen paid commercial that features the Chevy BOLT!
  24. Saudi Controlled with Musk having his share of the company and Arabe owned by summer 2019. I am calling it now. Exception is the Fed's who could kill it.
  25. Here is the really sharp looking Lincoln Continental that is in my neighborhood. Sadly on a corner that is not great for stopping at except when I got the red light recently and no other auto's so a clean pic from my SS.
