  9. OK so how much money did CARB cost the entire US economy with this stupid regulation? 1 The CARB regulators 2 Other State Bureaucrats & elected Officials 3 Designers 4 Manufacturers 5 Quality Control 6 National warehouses 7 National retail sales 8 Consumers Just so we can have the luxury of buying a can that is not required in all but 1 State(that is going bankrupt!) Even if you can buy a non CARB can in the other 49 States you will have subsidized the Cally can as the Manufacturer passes the cost on to all customers. "Now the gas can is: - triple the price - more dangerous - less functional - exacerbates the very "problem" it was intended to solve." "I mean, if you can ruin the simple gas can, well... " Camino Government at its finest! Then we pay to modify the damned thing and become criminals!
  10. Well reg plastic cam gears were a industry standard and for the record they were aluminum with plastic teeth to control noise . Only after the chain gets sloppy from stretch does it slap around and chip the teeth off.
  11. Or VW Passat's
  12. In looking for an Intrigue for my daughter we still want a 3800 but are limited to the 1st & 2nd year production the reason being the durability and fuel considerations. The 3800 is plenty strong performer and sips fuel, the purchase is to replace the '98 Intrigue she has now it for some unknown reason has a R R strut tower rotted out maybe only 40% of the structure left(thinking it was in a flood) If we cant find an Intrigue we will look for a LSS w/o supercharger or a hi end 88 though the 88's have soft handling and she likes the Intrigue 88's have the 3800 in newer models and she said she wouldn't be caught in a Buick.

  14. Yeah I see what ya mean the neck is short and stiff not flexible it wouldn't even make it into the filler neck. The last ones I bought were crappy and the mandated safety valve failed after the 3rd use but you can use it, it just spills if tipped over I have to block it in place. The very reason that the stupid DOT CODE was put in place
  15. Agreed Saw a Impala going down the road doing somthing stupid like not signaling a turn(pet peeve) thought it was a Passat or Fusion till I got to the critical last 6 car lengths. Used to be critical last 1/4 mile with older cars & younger eyes

    Shit Son...

Have been here for quite some time & please pardon the pun but my life was in a fog back then. I remember some of that time and joanzin after the crash , my post count was up there and was bummed when they couldn't retrieve the archives. Had some nice discussions with James from OZ land. And some of the guys with the single mind set you always knew where they were going(and yes I have to fight the wagon comments)
