  1. Because the Zeta is dead right? So that leaves the Vette/XLR platform, Alpha (provided were even getting it) GM will have hardly any RWD cars left. I want RWD but a balance with FWD is okay with me. 8-10 models is enough for me to be happy. So does this mean the DTS/Lucerne is staying FWD?
  2. Holden prolly will keep developing RWD so I am not too worried. If they kill the Kappa then they better give us the Alpha and also what will the new RWD Caddy's ride on?
  3. I am with Dodgefan on this one, also I like it more than the Sedan, way more.
  4. I like it better. But don't they plan on giving us a new G6 in the next few years. It is a strong seller even if you take away fleet sales.
  5. Saw a 2008 Escalade Limo it was sweet and in my favorite color pearl white.
  6. I see some in Dubuque area. But way more GMT-900's.
  7. It was a touching commercial. It had alot of emotional value as well, the mood and music were up-lifting. I will own a Silverado one day too. Toyota can't do what Chevrolet did. Never.
  8. It doesn't bother me.
  9. Northie that is exactly what I get out of the article too.
  10. Then you have been lucky my Bonneville barely gets 27 on the hwy.
  11. Looks good. Honestly anymore I used to worry about the release date, or how it would look. Now I am worried about how expensive it will be and know it will never sell in Prius volume if the price nudges past 30K by alot. I just hope people buy it. I certainly WON'T be in line. But if it sells and helps GM then all the more power to them.
  12. Chrysler 300C SRT-8 my neighbor and a my sons friends dad just got it. It is black on black a loaded 2006 with 25K on her. He loves it and broke 150 mph in it! He only buys American other vehicles include a 1994 Suburban LT, a 1999 Suburban LT, a 2002 Saturn L300, a 2005 Equinox LT AWD and his 300C SRT.
  13. I don't like the Vue/Captiva rip-off lights at all. As for the rest of it, its okay. I still like the current one, then again I am a Torrent owner. I will reserve final judgement till I see the final production model.
  14. Saw a 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme Coupe with a 455! Blue over white vinyl it was bitchin!
  15. Well here it is on ebay. If I had a some extra money and wasn't sending a kid of to school and it wasn't so far away I might look at it. I hope someone on here can give this puppy the love that this thing needs at a great price. It has a 307 and is in nearly mint condition and has a factory Snow Flake rims. One car I would have in a collection indeed at a steal of a price. 1981 Pontiac Bonneville Coupe
  16. Point taken then kill 'em.
  17. They can with minivans seriously I have ridden in a new Dodge Caravan SE 3.3L Flex Fuel and actually like it stow n go and all. I would get an SXT with the 4.0L to have some guts but I was impressed with the value for the money. The pearl red color was great too. The minivans are a strong point as is the Charger/300/Challenger even though they won't sell in the numbers they could with cheap gas they are great driving cars. As for the Sebring/Avenger with the new Malibu it makes these products even more laughable. Hell a G6 is like a world apart so the Malibu is at least two worlds apart. They are at the buttom of the catergory. Chrysler let the ball drop here and it is clear. As for Jeep that is another bright spot, so are Cummins prowered trucks. They will live with the new Journey I have hope, lots of it. Especially with Jimmy at the helm.
  18. BPG should not die trust me. Hummer should go. I'd let Saturn hang around and hope with a new line-up sales can get closer to Pontiac levels (yeah right) if not met then kill 'em and buy out the few Saturn dealers there are. As for Saab it will stay because they are big in Europe. A new SUV and 9-5 wouldn't hurt GM.
  19. Won't have the torque that your 3.4 did either. Not that a Venture was fact but driving one won't be a total drag. Get a 5spd. or at least I would in a small car. Better performance/accleration and fuel econo its a win win. By the way I would get the G3 Wave because its a Pontiac.
  20. Honestly if they sell 30K a year there is a market for them. And in the luxury car world 30K unit isn't bad. For Cadillac that is a solid performer. No it doesn't have the sales it once did the segment is getting smaller but there is still demand and merit for such a car. That is why Cadillac needs to keep it, and give it a CTS-ish redesign with a 6spd. automatic and a 325-350hp V8 with a wider front track and tires they would be set. How about an LS4 under the hood?
  21. Its on again tonight at 10 ET 9 CT on CNBC again. So if you missed it like me because of a power outage I will catch it tonight. Next airing is August 31st.
  22. I was never in favor of a Zeta Impala no matter how cool it could be. But Pontiac needed the G8 a no brainer, Buick a Park Ave even if they import the one made for China so be it. (They get our Enclave can't we have there PA?) Caddillac didn't need one with the STS just a revamped verison of that in a few years would be nice. Then keep the large FWD DTS/Lucerne and give them the redesign then need on a new/well updated platform weather it be the EP II (a longer verison) or the a new G.
  23. So the Lucerne and DTS are dead? If GM is getting out of this segment all together that is stupid. But reading between the lines would make one assume so since the Zeta Buick and Caddy are dead. So what is left a very large Ep based sedan? I can only hope and it better have a V8.
  24. So is this the new DTS/DT7 same way how were previewed the '06 DTS in early '05 when Bush road in it.
  25. Don't know but I heard the sedan verison is a pleasent little car. There is a new/updated motor and it is suppose to be impressive. I would go with the Pontiac if I had a choice.
