Well this morning dawned liked an ordinary day. The old Chevrolet fired up like always, and the 3.4 came to life. Drove fine until this afternoon when it began shifting hard while driving it. It gave you a little more a jerk and whining sound. I haven't had the trans serviced in a while (maybe not at all) it is 7 years old and has 76,xxx miles on it. Is my trans going? It doesn't feel like slipping tho, but hell it could be? Does it need to be serviced or am I out a tranny? Please help my trans knowledge is limited. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance.

Drove the Mother in Law's 04 Saturn Vue last weekend
gm4life replied to gmcbob's topic in The Lounge
A Torrent or Equinox on the Theta with the 3.4 and 5spd. auto drive much better trust me. (After all I own one) I have driven the old Vue and didn't like that much. There is a huge difference between the old and new I did drive the new Vue that drove well too. -
Playing on PS2... Gran Turismo 4...I have had the game with my son for a few years and have tons of cars... Favs include fully tuned GNX (I have a few) a Mustang GT-350, the '96 Corvette Grand Sport, '05 Acura NSX, '70 Chevelle SS 454, '64 GTO, '05 Chrysler 300C Hemi, '69 Camaro Z28 and SS, '69 Corvette Stingray, '04 Chevy SSR and the list could go on and on. Also have alot of ricer Honda/Acura products in Type R and S trim. I even have a '02 Prius (fully pimped slow as hell) and the 2004 I have isn't much better. (Thats fully tuned too.) I also love my '67 Cougar with mags too that thing is sweet! NFS Pro Street Favorite Cars... Prostreet Mustang GT, Prostreet '66 GTO, and a Prostreet '70 Chevelle SS 454, a Ford GT, Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 you get the idea... and I am forgetting like 5 other cars I have... and that is about it... Some Sims actually... My kids play more than I do tho... Wishing for a PS3 my wife is not feeling it since when I got the PS2 I was hooked and the 400 bucks isn't helping my cause either... I would get the Gran Turismo 5 *first one Pro... something* and then get the real game when it comes out this spring or winter I do believe. There is always disagreement about that tho.

Are you saying Pontiac or GMC is toast? God I hope not. GM could and would piss off ALOT of loyal owners. It makes no sense from a biz standpoint either. Buying out all the Pontiac dealers is huge, it would be way easier to axe Hummer (maybe they are already gone) and then hit Saab and if needed knock Saturn and send the Opels Pontiac or Buick's way where they would actually sell.
-
I actually like the Traverse alot including the back. Although the looker of them all in the Buick Enclave. A young good looking lady my son works with even wants an Enclave and she is only 35 her husband said to much money. They got an Uplander instead.

Faster than an M5: First Cadillac CTS-V performance test published
gm4life replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
That is one sweet a$$ car! -
Would anyone miss Hummer. With a few fresh products like a new G5 and G6 with major styling differences and sportier ride and handling even some extras like dual exhaust and maybe some extra power, Pontiac would have a real future. I think it is bright, so is Buick and prolly even GMC. Anyone thought about selling Pontiac in China or the middle east?

I would kill Hummer, then Saab and last Saturn. BPG cannot go and it will not go!

Uplander replacement spotted... and has a name!

Those mirrors are ugly. Actually they could grow on me. -
Worthless crap. How about some good news for a change.

I will say this BPG does need a few fuel sippers for volume and eco-minded buyers. Not everyone (is like me) wants a large sedan (Bonneville) or an SUV. Honestly they need some cars (Pontiac) like the G6 (I want a new one that acutally looks different than the Malibu) that have more styling differences not the G5 fix. The Torrent at least had a different suspension and steering wheel from the Equinox. The G5 aside of the grille and wheels is the same. I don't mind a rebadge but restyle it enough so it is hard to tell like the difference between a LeSabre and Bonneville. GM can do that for relatively modest bucks and give it dual exhaust and sportier ride and handling and you have a winner. That is all the have to due to the Malibu and go ahead and add an Alpha and do the next G5 aka Cruze right so it doesn't scream rebadge. I do like the G5 more honestly but I am a Pontiac guy.

Good news... What happend to the Theta Equinox/Torrent?

GM could take a look at some old ads and get some neat ideas.

Dodge Viper Might Find Life After Conner Avenue

More Corvette sales. Although I would miss the Vipers rowdy and yes crude thundering V10 and unrefined raw interior and pure sports car attitude. -
Super Sport my son is the same age as you. I bet you too would get along real well. They did make these large GM SUV's pretty classy. I really liked the Tahoe ad. I might scan a few more...

1, 2 and yes the third it takes place in Japan. They shove a Nissan 4cylinder into a classic Mustang Fastback. :angry2:

In 1997 I was only 40 do that math on that one. Had a seven year old son and four year old daughter. Owned a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix with less than 60,000 miles on the clock and a 1987 Olds Delta 88 Sedan with barely 90K on her. This was before my addition to the house and car buying spree 2001-2008 life was simpler and cheaper. Another interesting fact was I dug out an old National Geo something I don't get anymore and found over 10 different GM ads in it. And two of them caught my eye each for BOF SUV's. One a Yukon the other a Tahoe. I have enjoyed this little trip down memory lane and feel free to share where you were in '97 and what you drove... While enjoying these ads... The more time passes by the more things stay the same... GM sells both today and thankfully they look more different than they did back in the day. Enjoy! 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe LT in black. 1997 GMC Yukon SLT in black.

I think they actually will have some "real" cars in this one. I own all the movies.

No Enzl thank you for being polite. I am just a deal hunter, wonder my Impala has only two options tape deck and cruise? Because I could get the sucker for a song! -
Sweet car and an uber friendly dealer make for a fun day. Gee when the new Camaro comes out I want to do that...

I hold out hope for more than that. I do believe it is possible.
