Yeah well at my local Toyota dealership whom I hate. They are bascially begging for suckers to pick up a new Turd. As the watch the GMC/Chevrolet dealers around still sell a ton of trucks, and it pisses them off. I just say product, product, product! GM started EP late in the month on the 20th and saw some results good for them. With a slow economy it is hard to sell a car.

Sweet car I like the coupe more tho. Also booooo to the six banger, with what 125 break hp? Slow is all I have to say.

The record Obama has is dangerously extreme, the most liberal in the senate. Being dangerously extreme on either side isn't good and McCain is more of a moderate and was right on the surge (weather you agree with the war or not, he was right). I am just glad he has picked a fresh new face with energy. I just find it funny how "car people" will go vote for a man that has hatered for performance cars and wants to DO nothing about domestic drilling. If you think Barack is really a mainstream help the common man out canidate I think your fooling yourself. I let McCains record of reaching across party lines speak for itself. I also think when a previously dem Joe Liberman speaks at the RNC you know something has gone wrong in that party and it has changed. And yes liberals are the ones whom most likely tend to hate American's, our big bold Ameircan cars especially RWD performance ones that many of us like and yet you still vote for that side. Hmmmmmmm, it is very sad how "extreme" some of you think McCain is, for a conservative he is not nearly conservative or traditional enough. Community Organizer and Junior Senator or a proud patriot with years of service and many years as a leader... That is real hard.

Ohhhhhhh 68 hits it again.
-
Obviously we aren't getting anywhere I like John McCain and Sarah Palin more than Barack Obama and Joe Biden is the button line.

Yes I want a president whom ultimately will keep us on the defensive and I want a president whom will actually drill for oil not just tell you to get a tune-up. I want a president that will cut everyones taxes to help put more money in everyones pocket so they can invest in the economy or save it. The 10 percent of the time he hasn't voted with Bush are the times when he is reforming and straying away from the republican party. That is the kind of president I want. Drill, Drill, Drill and Drill some more. And what is the matter with G.W.B he isn't he devil and root of all problems from 2000-2008. I think his congress with the lowest apporval rating speaks for itself. I think it might be lower than his. Yeah and progessive energy policy does include CNG, E85 and drilling for oil on our shore something Obama want's nothing to do with. I am going to go out a limb here and say after the CBS poll which has them tied brand new out last night Barack is getting worried, with the new energy and Palin on the ticket. Wasn't this suppose to be a slam-dunk year? With the dems ahead 20 percentage points. So go ahead sip your change kool-aid. Olds your a good guy I just disagree with your politics. As for what I want from my next president more domestic drilling, and lower taxes.

They might get new sheet metal, and is there something we don't know?

I don't want a traditional conservative I want a man and woman who shares my social values. I don't want a politican whom seeks to impress the media or was a community organizer. I want a politican with a record not of a conservative but of a reformer, not a man that hypes up change and votes present in the Senate. I want a man with a progessive enegry policy and wants to give EVERYONE some of there hard earned money back. I want a man that went into politics to serve his country not to become a rock-star. I want a woman whom beliefs taking on the big oil, and the status quo in Washington. I want a woman who seeks not to impress the media but to do what is best for our country. I want a pro-life man whom believes the value of life begins a conception. I want a woman who not only has the legislative expertise to lead but the guts to actually do it. I want a team of people whom aren't scared or ashamed to put ones country before self. That is why I have been left with only one option and that is McCain-Palin. I know Baracks reccord and lack of legislative knowledge, I know his liberal and scray extermist reccord. I understand he feels at home in Hollywood, I want a man who beliefs in this country and isn't out to seak the media's praise putting country first. So why would I vote for a person I don't agree with, trust or belief in? Why won't I vote for a man with that takes stabs at people in rural areas across this great country? Why won't I vote for a man the praises the rich and celebs? Because he is not the right man for the job. John McCain and Sarah Palin are the only viable option in the race. If you can find a politican that I agree with more find them and bring them too me. Thats all folks... Good Bless America. And I don't want a first lady whom is proud of her country for the first time.

Both have po-po-ed on the auto industry but at least McCain is right on oil and has a CTS so I'll give him the nod from a car guys standpoint.
-
Thank you Blu, don't you think that could happend PCS? Because you do have the inside loop were as we don't...
-
Did you even watch her last night? Honestly?
-
Yup your right we need more goverment. Higher taxes, less freedom, no need to drill for oil just fill our car tires and pray for gas to fall. Or how about his shady senate reccord not taking a stand on anything just voting "present" someone who votes present is exactly the kind of sound decision maker we need for our country. And your right if Obama wins - America is screwed. Oh wait he will still have great speeches that mean nothing and the most liberal reccord in the senate. I want a politican who puts country above himself. I want a VP that has taken on the status quo and taken on big oil. I want a a man and a women whom have the strenght to take on our country's problems. Palin is great and no traditional republican. McCain is even better and he is not traditional republican and sides with what is right not just what his party says. Hmmm whom do I want a community organizer, and junior senator? Or a long time senator from AZ, a proud veteran, and a maverick? Ohhhh geeeee I'll take the honorable and honest man whom puts himself ahead of his own political agenda! It is sick how bad Obama wants to get in. To quote Mr. McCain and this says volumes about him... "I would rather win the war than loose the election!" - That is the kind of leader America needs.
-
I kind of have to agree with 68 and PCS "told you so attitude" makes me sick as well. Can't we have hope for the next G6... And the Pontiac brand as a whole nothing but some money wouldn't fix.

I saw a Mazdaspeed6 and it was pretty sweet. Also saw a new 2008 Tahoe Hybrid on the road.

GM brings back employee pricing to sell remaining 2008 models
gm4life replied to Intrepidation's topic in General Motors
I am an internet shopper now and wouldn't do anything but that when I am having a hard time finding what I want or on a tight budget and an extra 500 can make or break my deal. I have my local dealership I have my cars get serviced and have bought there a few times when I a have the extra in my budget. But the last two times I had no choice but to do an internet deal as finding a Torrent stripped from 2007 in 2008 was very hard. I also wanted cruise and the 17inch wheels. I am sure the dealer didn't make much off me if I would have just bought the Torrent there but they made a killing on my trade I know because they sold my GP the next day for 1K and they gave me 250 for it. They over doubled there profit. I don't feel like a bad buyer or an evil person not wanting to pay more than what I have to for something. I just asked for the lowest price on the Torrent and it was very resonable and smoothered on the GM card earning (2K maxed out) **came out of GM's pocket** and my trade and bought the car. My previous internet deal didn't work out as well the dealer high-ups were jerky not the salesmen. As finding a slightly pre-owned or new Cranberry Red or White Bonneville SLE without a sunroof and leather and chrome wheels proved hard to find. Both those times I didn't need a vehicle and was tight on cash so I did the best I could on the prices and over the internet allowed me to do that. Next time I plan to go to my local dealership and give them my buisness. They know as a small dealer I told them what I paid for what I got and they say "John I can't touch that price and I don't blame you for buying it there"... "Were always happy to service them" that is where Till's makes there money. Listen I look on autotrader but I don't ask for quotes unless I am looking and I always call them not an email. -
Actually I think a new G is fine but revamp and make sure a six speed automatic will work. GM screwed that up on the DTS and Lucerne. Although the DTS's interior quality is good and in performance trim drives very well. Then make sure a V8 OHV or OHC (I don't care) will fit in it with the six speed. In a DTS/Lucenre or even new Pontiac sedan with 325hp (optional AWD) wider front tires *think Grand Prix GXP* and Bonneville GXP tuning or Aurora 4.0 for that matter would be fine with me. As for a base motor a 3.6L DI would be nice.
-
So they will be doing six speed autos in the G? If they give it a nice reskin and some work under-neath I have no problem with it. $h! give one to Pontiac and call it the Grand Prix or Bonneville.
-
Anyone and everyone these days get sh*t dug up on them. Its a fact of life.
-
So the G6 will stay the same for another 2-3 years? If so that is just stupid. 2010 there should be a new one introduced.
-
Carbiz so they actually figured out who you were? That is pretty creepy.
