Chevrolet News:2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Reveal
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
I think it looks great and one hell of a performance bargain. The only two things that really stand out to me negatively are the lacking of a manual transmission and the tower of buttons on the inside. -
Lincoln News: 2020 Lincoln Navigator Gets Tech and Style Updates

Much much better, perfect. -
That line of buttons is a joke. The rest looks pretty sharp. a squared off steering wheel is a little awkward but nothing drastically bad outside of that row of buttons. I'm surprised that you of all people didn't know... https://www.ford.com/police-vehicles/hybrid-utility/

Lincoln News: 2020 Lincoln Navigator Gets Tech and Style Updates

I'll 4th that, the ratio to voice and music is off a bit. -
@Drew Dowdell there was never a 2019 ATS sedan, was there? I can't find anything on them whether it is a review, writeup, or any for sale new or used. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2018/05/09/cadillac-cuts-ats-sedan/34731067/ Well.. That's a little different because that's a blend of hatred for the Impala as well. It isn't like I'm a blind fanboi who thinks Ford can do no wrong. I'm also started that the MKT was up there with the ugliest of vehicles in the modern era as well. One at a time. LOL JKJK, I assume they were both built at the same time as the XTS has been around for awhile. It was a joke because I think it is the "kind of ugly only a mother could love".
-
What? What "faboi love" ? Because I think one Cadillac is fckn atrocious?
-
That's because they axed the sedan. The coupe price stayed the same(basically). 2018 ATS Sedan: $35,500 2018 ATS Coupe: $38,500 2019 ATS Coupe: $39,000 IT. LOOKS. LIKE. TRASH. I think anybody who likes it has an irrational love for it as a GM or Caddy fanboy because I genuinely do not see what about that rear 1/4 of car looks remotely attractive. The worst part, it I disagree with that. I just cannot stand the rear of that car so much.. lol I can respect your wrong opinion about my right opinion. ?
-
LOL well no sh!t it wasn't a 1 day design.. I thought the sarcasm would have gotten through when I said I have an irrational hatred for the ugly bucket of turds.
-
The problem is it doesn't follow the front 3/4 of the car either. They cut a foot off the car and pinched everything together and called it a night on day 1 of designing a coupe.
-
I feel like those all actually made an effort to look like something unique, even if everything underneath is garbage. The CTS Coupe just looks so unbelievably half-assed to me... It's "fairly entertaining" to watch. I'd give it a 7/10.
-
It wasn't a price increase. The coupe was always priced above the sedan. 2018 coupe started at $38,500.
-
We were talking cars, but I 100% agree.
-
One of the ugliest cars produced in the last 20 years. It's a thing of the past with Cadillac, not MB, BMW. or Audi.
-
'18 sedans started at $35,500, fwiw.
-
Wasn't that the coupe that was also a couple grand above the sedan? It's actually good to see them embracing the tweener thing again. I think that will help them out some.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes X-Class to be Xed Out
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Mercedes-Benz
Well, when they sell 18 of them in two years, hopefully it will get the axe after that. Hopefully the lot gets trimmed sooner by getting rid of the bucket of pukes in the GLC Coupe, GLE Coupe, X4, and X6. FCK THOSE VEHICLES. I think it could be competitive but I think there is zero chance it could outsell the F150 unless the next F150 is a COMPLETE dud AND it falls to #3 behind the Ram and Silverado making the Toyota #3 and F150 #4. Also, to the best of my knowledge, those sales are F series, not just F150. That would mean Toyota would need their Tundra to have HD versions and try and take that whole market as well.- 62 replies

GM News: GM Shelves Diesel Option for Equinox and Terrain
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
That's what I said, "you'd think if people knew about it, it would have sold well enough to be kept around." Absolutely. People who had TDi's, loved them. I had two friends with them and they also loved them. They could eek out 50mpg. -

I still think the efficiency alone(excluding the fact it costs $3800 more than a comparably equipped 1.5T gasser) makes a very viable choice for those who commute 70-100 miles a day but they don't want to be stuck in a car. As we all know CUVs are all the craze so you'd think if people knew about it, it would have sold well enough to be kept around. -

In their defense, they probably just refer to it as a CVT. That was on a comparison page. -
VW News: Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen and Golf AllTrack To End Production

Chrysler being dead is so frustrating because they had the perfect brand to fight the "2nd tier" luxury brands head-on. All they really needed to do was make a luxurious interior and add some fancy adjustable dampers and it would ride like it's on clouds.- 20 replies

Trackhawk is definitely a street performance vehicle(have you seen the wheels and tires on the JGC Trackhawk???). It would be identical to a Dodge SRT. I would leave that performance trim for Dodge and Chrysler, imo.- 20 replies

..if they were smart they'd have a Dodge version as more of a street and cheaper version, Jeep as a 1 inch lift and market it as an off-road version, and Chrysler as a luxury version(luxury level of Lincoln/Acura/Lexus/Infinity).- 20 replies

Subaru News: Subaru Announces Legacy and Outback Pricing
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Subaru
Good to know, thanks. I don't keep up on my Subarus too well so I didn't know if it was a typo considering the 2.5 is the base engine. -
GM News: GM Shelves Diesel Option for Equinox and Terrain
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Absolutely. Performance-wise it is more comparable to their 1.5T, cost close to the 2.0T, fuel economy(considering fuel prices) closer to the 1.5T. It's stuck in the middle, imo. I just don't like the article comparing it price-wise to the 2.0T because it is clearly designed (and marketed..?) towards fuel economy yet they're using the 2.0T as the reason for it going away.
