  1. Those examples can be found at lowly brands like Ford, Chevy, Dodge/Ram, Honda, and Toyota as well. That is nothing that shouldn't be expected with regular maintenance. Is it not obvious that they are going a different direction, pricing it nearly on top of the A Class, nearly identical to the A3, and less than the 2 Series. They are going the route of larger car for the money as the CT4 isn't nearly as small as its similarly priced luxury cars.
  2. They aren't asking German car prices. It is SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS.
  3. Overpriced the base model? What do you think of the A Class then? The V does seem like less of a bargain but then again the C43 starts at 55k so it is still significantly cheaper than that. Hell, an A45 is 53k. I know that's one hell of a car(A45) but that's one hell of an asking price as well.
  4. Oh wow, that seems priced to sell right out of the box. I think they did what all of us thought they should do and price it below competitors(based on size) but basically as much as the competitors(brands) smaller class of vehicle.
  5. Well no, sh!t... I really never thought those would have even been available with the Z71 package or in any color other than white, lol. Well, I'm serous about the Z71 part. That's surprising. I wouldn't imagine spending 34k on a vehicle with that engine. Now I'm curious how many of those 2.5's they move outside of fleets.. It's gotta be a lot more than I originally expected.
  6. It's mostly just for fleet vehicles for a lowest possible price point, I'd assume.
  7. I'm a huge fan of the plug-in hybrid design/concept.
  8. Your choices of vehicles is diminishing by the year.
  9. Something just looks funky about that front end situation. I do really like "Chevrolet" across the tailgate.
  10. I would only assume so...
  11. That would still get pushed back the length of the strike, I'd only assume. 100% agree.
  12. Of course they won't do that. They would need to sell ten times what they are now to even consider separation and even then they wouldn't because it doesn't make financial sense.
  13. That still doesn't have anything to do with Lincoln being on their own or not. Cars or SUVs.
  14. I think the only VW that used the DSG was the GTI/Golf R. It still does, I believe. Oh, the GLI does as well.
  15. I believe they are considerably cheaper to R&D and then something with 8-10 ratios. Ford and GM plopped out CVT's in the past year or two as well. I don't remember what GM put it in, maybe the Cruze? I believe Ford is putting it in the new Escape with the base engine..
  16. It makes sense. That's almost quadruple what they are used to paying. It just isn't worth it.
  17. The sales numbers are the ones truly doing the talking. Ram line outselling the Silverado line.
  18. I think you're forgetting the part where the Ram is a fantastic truck and looks great whereas the Silverado is hideous in most trims. I know looks are subjective but I've heard only a few people think the Silverado looks good and the Ram looks great along with the best interior in the class, by a country mile. You sound like a blinded fanboy right there.. You couldn't be any more wrong to anybody who has an open opinion.
  19. I know I'm not in Phoenix but, I see more new Rams than Silverados. I do probably see more new Sierras than any other brand new half ton though. That's a damn good looking truck, imo. I saw a 2019+ Ram "Kentucky Derby" edition over the weekend at Menards. I thought that was odd. It looked good outside of the Kentucky Derby sticker... probably because it was a Limited or whatever their top trim is. It looked like the below truck but in the red/maroon color.
  20. The ZR1 is far from half the money. The ZR1 actually starts MORE than the AMG GT. ZR1: $123,000 AMG GT: $115,900 It's okay, the C8 is out anyway and ready to put cars twice its price in its rear view mirror.
  21. The Convertible is cool but having a targa top standard is perfect and I'd never consider the convertible. @smk4565 Just because I can. ?
  22. Very very few vehicles have loud exhausts or induction noises and even less come from the factory that way.
  23. I'm glad I'm not that old yet. I love induction and exhaust noises on the correct vehicles.
  24. That said nothing about Lincoln and being on their own or not. Lincoln is separating from Ford more now than it has in decades.
  25. " "We're not getting out of passenger cars, we're getting out of sedans," said Kumar Galhotra, Ford's group vice president and president of Ford North America. "It's language, but it's a very important distinction. I learned this from my boss, (CEO) Jim Hackett: Silhouettes are changing. The data is compelling that silhouettes are changing." "
