I wasn't talking about the touch screen in the first place. I said specifically the HVAC-like controls. "It isn't the touch screen people don't like. It is the non-physical "buttons" for the whole HVAC that kind of sucks."
-
That's not a subjective metric. It can be measured by looking at the used market and book values.

Because a manual dial or button you can take a glimpse and then feel for it(assuming the user has any decent hand/eye coordination) without having to look at it the whole time. Glance, reach, adjust, glance. When there isn't a real button(and had there not been haptic feedback) then it's difficult to adjust without looking down for a longer period of time.
-
Ohhhh does it have a little vibration??? I knew that... Oh I definitely look down but it's the amount of time looking away is what I was getting at.
-
Yeah i just went to build one as well and Trailhawk or Lattitude you still have to add all of the same stuff. I would have thought the Trailhawk would have come with a few things other than wheels, tires, and tow hooks. I built a Latitude to nearly 33k. I guess that's still a $1500 less than my Escape MSRP'd for but that's also still a 180hp engine w/o a few things.

It isn't the touch screen people don't like. It is the non-physical "buttons" for the whole HVAC that kind of sucks. I don't mind the touch buttons but in all honesty in order to operate you have to take your eyes off the road longer to operate them, that's just how they are. You won't know you upped the temp 3 degrees without looking down a couple times whereas an actual button you can feel it click when turned.

I totally love the looks of the new Compass but only offering a n/a 4 banger sucks.

I think it looks GREAT for a sub compact. And those wheels...those wheels look great to me. I HOPE this little 3 pot sounds similar to a motorcycle 3cyl because I LOVE those sounds.

Yeah I've heard caffeine headaches can be pretty brutal.. That's good you're enjoying your gym visits! I had a brutal leg workout yesterday... I've finally grown to not hate leg day and I kind of like it now. I think realizing the benefits has helped me out in that category. Honestly, as douchy as vaping CAN be, they're pretty damn cool. You can get some kickass flavors aaaaand wean down the nicotine levels as well. A few friends of mine have them and I guarantee if I smoked I would want one of those to quit. Damn, $400. It's easy to get there when $2-6 per purcase adds up pretty quick. Damn, those lights look awesome! Are they still dimmable? And how big of a bitch was it to get back there? I can't imagine how rough that may have been.

Hahaha I drink quite a bit of Diet Dew myself. That's easily the diet soda of choice. I probably drink around 32-48oz a day but I make sure every time I fill that "cup" up I finish and refill my water bottle as well. I'll usually drink 1-2 more bottles of water a day than my soda but that's still too much soda to be drinking. I just don't enjoy only drinking water all day every day. It sucks. lol It's terrible having free fountain soda at work. $h!, it sounds like you're drinking $15 worth of caffeine a day!
-
Diet soda is so hard for me to give up.. we have free fountain soda at work. I've done good with the energy drink thing. I used to drink one a day pretty religiously. Now I drink one every 2-3 weeks. I'm cheap so that one was relatively easy to cut back on, lol.

Blah Blah Blah Mercedes is God blah blah blah. Same powertrain as the peasant S550? Weak-ass-sauce. I know if I'm spending 170k on a car it better not have the same engine as the 96k car. Heck, If I'm spending 170k on my Maybach I sure as hell don't want an S600 to pull up next to me and make me look stupid. S550 Maybach? WTF is that peasant crap all about? Why would Mercedes ever put such a name matched to the weak-ass, peasant, poor people version of the S Class? Mercedes needs to get their heads out of their asses and build some quality vehicles that make sense. "Hi, I own a 449hp Maybach!" "Your sh!t is weak. My 523hp/612tq will make you look stoooopid." That's a $70,000 premium to not even get a different engine or power bump. Pathetic.
-
That make sense. They have done so well with the brand that people will buy it just for the "prestige" at this point. Good for them, but the people buying those aren't the most financial savvy because they really don't sound like much of a step from the SLT. Heck, I just saw the base engine in the Denali 1500 is still the 5.3. WTF? I mean I guess they're giving the customer more options..but that seems shetty. You have to opt for the "Denali Ultra Package" that is $7,450(currently marked down to $6700) to get the 6.2. Which, obviously gets you a shet ton of other stuff but that seems ridiculous.
-
Can't that 6.2 also be bought in Silverados though? So it really isn't an upgrade as much as just giving them the top engine to justify the price. Not a bad thing, but it really isn't an "upgrade" if it can be had in lesser models.
-
Bingo, Bango, Bongo. Denali + painted trim =

Do that many 3/C/A4 sell with their diesel variants? I think(granted just a complete assumption) that most in these luxury fields are wanting a little more athleticism and diesels kind of take that away as they're usually fuel economy minded and fairly slow. Agreed, that 2.5 was not made for Cadillac. Cadillac is too good for that.

Does Sport Mode completely disable traction control and stability control or just makes them really lax? -

Hahaha I watched this yesterday.. What a freakin' idiot. There's a time and place to show off aspects of a car and where he was, was NOT one of them! That salesman got lucky he didn't hurt anybody. -
Cadillac News: Spying: 2018 Cadillac XT3 Comes Fully Camouflaged
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Not quite. Also, there's noting wrong with lining up with Lincoln when it comes to SUVs. SUVs aren't sporty or athletic. They're driven mostly by soccer moms who legitimately have no clue which wheels are powered. They all offer a soft cushy ride. Length/Width/Height in inches Lincoln MKC: 179.2 / 73.4 / 65.2 GLC: 183.3 / 74.4 / 64.5 XT5: 189.5 / 75 / 66 MKX: 190 / 76.1 / 66.2 GLE: 192.9 / 78.9 / 68.1- 110 replies

Cadillac News: Spying: 2018 Cadillac XT3 Comes Fully Camouflaged

One of the top 5 ugliest vehicles produced today. The next 4 are the other "coupe" CUVs that Benz and BMW make.- 110 replies

Cadillac News: Spying: 2018 Cadillac XT3 Comes Fully Camouflaged
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
There's room under 40k to start. Especially when we're talking smaller than XT5/MKX. Lincoln's MKC starts at 32k and MKX at 38k. Cadillac can do that exact same thing with the XT5/3 as the XT5 starts at 39k. Which happens to be almost EXACTLY what BMW and Mercedes do as the X1/3 start at 33k and 39k and the GLA and GLC start at 33k and 39k(give or take a couple hundred bucks).- 110 replies

Jaguar News: Rumorpile: Jaguar XE SVR Could Boast 500 Horsepower
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Jaguar
I know the standard "compact" and "mid size" sedans are competitive and all but this performance luxury category has grown to be the most competitive class of cars, imo. C63, M3/4, RS4/5, XE SRV, Guiia Quatrawords, IS F, ATS-V, and even Infiniti's Q60 Red Sport 400 is a pretty badass car on the lower end of the spectrum.
