  1. Oh I definitely think VW is capable of making any vehicle great that they want to. It might be bland..but great.. lol
  2. While I agree.. Ram and Jeep as names carry a ton of weight that even if VW made a better product it would take sooooo long before it overtook Jeep/Ram in sales.
  3. Turbo V6? Aluminum? ..Are we looking at another Ferd here..?
  4. And I guarantee they will brag to their friends they smoked a V8 "off the line" Hahaha
  5. Quirky looking can be cool, I get that. But this just looks over done and like they tried to just do more things just to do more things. It's like they already riced it out from the factory.
  6. Similar boat as the Focus RS but the RS at least gives you AWD. They seem to sell well enough. FWD doesn't put power down in a straight line as well either. So how many Civics are riced out and street race? A LOT.
  7. Efficiency, I'd assume. When those transmissions are in full lock you're getting 100%(theoretically) from the engine whereas CVTs are belts and whatnot stretching and giving losing more power to the wheels. More power loss = more efficiency loss. This is just my theory on them. Similar to DCT vs torque converter as well.
  8. How much different can a coupe be shaped? The BMW doesn't have any shoulders over the wheels whereas the VW does. Like @Stew said, the BMW's curls in itself(ingress) on the side where the VW curls out and over the top.
  9. I think you're just saying that because of the color because those are two very different front ends. Nothing other than the number of openings on the bottom of the fascia are even remotely similar.
  10. That's actually a really good point. Almost every Wrangler I see now has a hard top and while there are some in the summer months with the top off it really is not all that often. I hadn't thought of that.
  11. So you just thought they were full of shet when they said march 2018?
  12. Our weather has been all over the place as well the past week. Luckily, not as cold as yours though.
  13. ..Jeez I hate the Impala so much.. The whole "Large mainstream sedan" segment just blows. They're all old and hideous compared to the rest of their respective lineups. Yes. Because there's another Audi on there.
  14. That's what I thought I read as well.
  15. Haha so sell the truck and keep the Bug!
  16. I think he's saying that they SHOULD be more like the VW lineup though.
  17. Just think, "it's all for the ZR2".
  18. Is this a possible reality? Where'd you hear this from?
  19. Understandable. I usually enjoy the low end grunt but the diesel in this case is pretty damn slow. I bet it would be pretty whoop ass of road though, the diesel.
  20. ZR2 would be bad-ass! If money weren't a thing, would you want the diesel or 3.6?
  21. Why's thaaaaat?
  22. Same thing though. If they produced 1000 less units the 100 that got marked down because they didn't sell never would have gotten marked down. (throwing out example numbers). Supply vs Demand. They over supplied the market OR they overpriced their supply OR any combination in between those two.
  23. Sometimes people just want a little niche vehicle in their lives. If they're done correctly and people find value in them, they're worth it. Just like the C AMG Black and the last Z/28(while they must have overproduced those some as last I knew you could find a few brand new/unsold ones yet).
  24. That's 4 or 5 people who got duped into buying them.. What a POS car. Ford needs to update/get rid of that(if it costs them more than they make on it). Then they also need to update/get rid of the MKT. WTF is that vehicle?!? When can we get a decent looking Aviator? How many work vans did your "luxury" brand sell?
