1. Is the new C43 supposed to compete with these guys, S6/VSport?
2. I think it looks great, like the C and S Class. I just don't like how they are watering down the AMG brand. Wouldn't this be the Merc that competes with the S6, CTS VSport, like the other comparison? Well it appears to be in a little bit of a middle ground for sure. ttV6, AWD, yet sub 400hp.
3. They called my bluff. A Pennsylvania dealership has two. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/news/a28438/whoa-theres-already-a-dealership-selling-hellcat-powered-wranglers/ For the low, low price of 130k you can buy a Hellcat powered Wrangler!
4. That little thing really is AWESOME! The only thing they would actually need to change would be the rag-top and it looks like it could be made just like that.
5. That was what I thought as well. Once you break it down, starting right at 30k for the room and cargo space you get is great. An Explorer starts at 31k Traverse also 31k, Durango starts at 30.5k. Yes those are all larger and more powerful but as far as spacious and roomy go, there's still probably more in the Pacifica.
6. Can I get one order of Drama, please. Ford Sucks. Chevy Sucks. Dodge Sucks.
7. Olds, you're killin' me with the AT&T Park/Giants picture! I HATE the SF Giants. They're just one of those teams I've never liked and for no real reason...
8. Cooler heads prevail. Now I wanna secretly pledge my allegiance to the flag of the United States of Lincoln Continental. I like this idea... Although even less sporty than the 3 listed, more along the lines of the XTS but a gorgeous car in person, I'd like a 400hp Lincoln in my driveway.
9. *Cough* the XTS V-Sport was not in this comparison *Cough* But in all seriousness... That is possibly the least attractive of all luxury branded, cars in my opinion(if extended to "vehicles" the X4/GLE would take the cake). I just am not a fan of the proportions more than anything else. Probably a fantastic cruiser and daily driver...just can't get on board with the looks compared to the rest of Cadillac's vehicles.
10. *taking out loan now* *throws cash at Jeep*
11. Hahaha I love it! GREAT review, Suave!
12. Beautiful cars. They just look very VERY similar to people who aren't us, enthusiasts. Audi is a way bigger offender in the "lookalike" category than Cadillac, but you have a point. I somewhat agree but the newest CTS and CT6 will be as easily mistaken as the A3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10..in my opinion.. The ATS definitely has a more different look to(two different generations. I think the next gen ATS or whatever they call it will fall in line and also be easily mistaken for a CTS/6 as well) it but I think the CTS and CT6 are about on par with the "Classes" at MB, the "Series" at BMW, and the #s at Audi in how similar they are to their siblings. Yeah, it's never been a big deal to me when a company go for keeping a familiar look across their lineup. That's part of brand recognition. I just think Audis are the hardest to tell apart from afar, whereas I don't have that kind of "issue" with Cadillacs. Yeah, for the most part I like the similarity and Audi is the worst offender but luckily I think one looks good so I think they all look good. lol

14. I'm actually not sure which I would take out of this bunch. Being in the mid-west and usually getting more snow than we did this year would have me leaning towards the S6 right from the get-go because fairly wide tires(275's) on a RWD car make for not the best winter vehicle. I don't make high speed runs but the pull from an AWD car over RWD would be pretty awesome as well. The interior definitely LOOKS nicer in the Audi as well, without sitting in any of them. A close second is the Lexus though. Most of all I know I wouldn't be taking advantage of a superior chassis over AWD 99% of the time. Plus, being a smidgen quicker to 60 & 100 with a V8 is a bonus. Actually, if I'm being honest, If I can afford a 70k or whatever these rang up at I don't care about the fuel economy advantage of the turbo 6 in the Cadillac. Just looked and the Audi is rated at 18/27 and the Caddy is rated at 16/24.
15. I agree, it looks quite nice, and the materials were awesome. But I like the way the MKX interior looks way more. Like wayyyy more. Like huuugely more. Not exactly and apples to apples comparison though when one pic is an amateur shot (which reveals the many hands that have touched that screen) versus a staged studio shot. Just sayin'. VERY good out Surreal. Either way, I think the Caddy's interior looks sharper(no pun intended). I like the lines and angles as opposed to the curves and flowing-ness of the Lincoln. Neither looks bad at all to me I think I just like the "tiers" of the Cadillac and the silver/aluminum strip braking up the dash north/south. I do know that the LOOKS of either interior wouldn't stop me from buying the vehicle I'd prefer to DRIVE the most, which ever that may be. Also, kind of random, where are the cup holders in the Caddy? Does that ~4inch x 10-12inch piece open up for a two-cup cup holder? It looks really clean while closed but I'm not sure how often something like that would be closed. Most keep a phone or something in those and it would be open the whole time. I'm curious how it looks open. I'm just surprised Cadillac doesn't have anything to compete with the 2.7 in the MKX, yet. I heard there's a possibility of the new 3.0tt but I wish they would have done something at launch.
16. This is awesome!! Also, welcome. There are bunch of us fellow MTers who jumped over here. I wish this place were a little more active. We have to start Dream Car garage threads and the like... Im sure those will take off. We just have to slowly let the C&G guys in on our ways and be patient enough for them to catch on...but Im sure they will take to our Dream Car garage threads. I know CCAP asked for one a couple of weeks ago... Haha yes i did! I forgot about that.. I actually thought of a good one while I was busy working.. but because I was busy working I forgot.
17. ..because I want everybody to see how awesome this is... And this because I thought it was comical.
18. I went to Cadd's website to build one today and did you know you can get "carbon plum" as an interior color?!?! I absolutely LOVE that.
19. I saw the ratings came out today for the '17 Pacifica, 18/28 city/highway. Not sure about you guys but that sounds stellar for how large "mini" vans have gotten. I guess it is only on par with the Honda and Nissan (19/28 and 20/27, respectively) http://www.motortrend.com/news/2017-chrysler-pacifica-hits-1828-mpg/
20. Welcome Pete! There are a few of us that came from MT when their forums kind of just stopped working. So you may recognize a few names.
21. Yeah, I posted the correction asking a mod/admin to correct that for me at the very bottom. I realized too late.
22. This one goes out to Olds and ocn I thought this story was pretty awesome and entertaining. Coolest part of it all was that it was still using a manual transmission. I think a manual transmission would really help keep the enthusiasts, like ourselves, a little more entertained by electric cars. I know it would add to the experience so much more than just a straight auto that never shifts.. As exhilarating as the g-forces would be still being able to row my own gears in a performance car would be ideal. There wasn't much to read so I just posted it all: "It would be easy to assume the Tesla Model S is the fastest electric car in the world. The P90D can, after all, hit 60 mph in less than 2.8 seconds and is limited to a top speed of 155 mph. But no, it doesn't hold the record as the fastest electric car in the world. That record belongs to an electric Corvette called the Genovation eXtreme Electric. As shown in this video and verified by the International Mile Racing Association, the GXE was able to hit 186.8 mph. Could the Tesla Model S P90D—or the potentially upcoming P100D—beat that record if its top speed weren't limited? We're honestly a little surprised that Tesla hasn't tried. But the GXE is no slouch in the performance department. Its motors produce a combined 700 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to also hit 60 mph in three seconds flat. Its 130-mile range on a single charge isn't too shabby either. Perhaps the craziest thing about this electric Corvette—other than its $335,000 price tag—is the fact it still uses a manual transmission. Electric or not, a 700-horsepower Corvette with a manual transmission sounds pretty awesome to us. The GXE might not make the same great Corvette sounds we love, but on the other hand, never having to pay for gas again might be worth it." I'm not sure why it formatted the way that it did.. sorry. Can a mod or admin change the title.. I kind of left out "electric". lol
23. Shame that Merc's playing second fiddle to Tesla. I guess someone's always gotta play catch-up. Same thing I was thinking. Tesla is pretty dang close with what they're selling RIGHT NOW. MB is doing swell but it isn't Tesla-like quite yet. For SMK: http://www.caranddriver.com/features/semi-autonomous-cars-compared-tesla-vs-bmw-mercedes-and-infiniti-feature
24. Sled from MT plays with real guns and real live firepower. Not toy things such as yourself. Yeah...hello CCAP I thought I might drop you a line. PS: I dont do paintball. None of my friends ever got into it. A shame I think, because I dont doubt the fun part. Dang, I forgot about Sled. I liked that gent. Seemed like a good and level headed guy. I wish there was a way to reach out to him to invite him over here. I'd love to get into real firearms I just don't have somewhere reasonably priced to shoot often so it isn't with buying too many with no place to shoot whenever I'd like to. Paintball is a blast! I highly suggest going snd trying it on a Saturday or Sunday with an "open play". Rent a gun and mask..and get after it. It can get real expensive real quick to just get into it but I found there is a HUGE used market where you can get very good equipment for very reasonable prices. You should find a small group of guys(and/or girls) and go sometime! I don't know how old your kids are but it would be a good way to get them into gun safety as well as having a good time. I just hope your local fields are ran well and they don't let the experienced players just run through people. That's teally the biggest issue with new people is the experienced people almost won't play "fair" because they just know the fields and how to play and light up the new people in turn discouraging them on their first day. We went to a great place last weekend that they would rebalance the team's if they got lopsided. I don't mind losing but I don't like to get smoked right away, in every match.
25. All engines picked up a few MPG in the EPA cycle without getting more gears and actually getting a considerably larger footprint...... I didn't realize it was pretty much a 2mpg improvement across the board. I guess I just didn't realize how bad the pre '15s were.
