That's very true. I'm fortunate to still be able TO work. I need to because my wife is a hair stylist and she obviously can't work right now.
-
I'm not liking working from home either. I much prefer a work setting. I wish my commute was shorter but I like the getting out and being in a work environment.
-
I do but luckily my wife is a hair stylist so it won't be too difficult to get one.

My county gets a "B". -37% change in average distance traveled. 2 confirmed cases. I just stopped traveling to work yesterday. I finally got remote access and started working from home.

That pricing seems absolutely insane. I guess I just live in a much much cheaper market because you can get quite a bit more house for 300k around here. My opinion only, I thoroughly believe that's more to do with China covering more up. They've been stagnant for a couple weeks now? VERY hard to believe.

Type O+ blood here.

One reason I love these companies... When they're called upon they help deliver to their counties. "On Tuesday, Ford detailed extraordinary measures it's undertaking as the automaker ramps up efforts to support health care workers on the frontlines. The Blue Oval said it's already started 3D-printing face shields -- a critical piece of personal protective gear -- for health care workers to help protect them from the virus as they treat patients. The first 1,000 shields already shipped out to local Michigan hospitals for use. By the end of this week, Ford says it will have 75,000 shields complete, and 100,000 shields will roll out of two Ford facilities weekly thereafter. While work continues on face shields, Ford said it's teamed up with 3M and GE to support the design and manufacturing of respirator masks and life-saving ventilators. With 3M, Ford told its engineers to get scrappy and creative, and they delivered. " More details in the link. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/ford-coronavirus-face-shields-3m-respirators-ge-ventilators/ "The automaker said Friday evening it will collaborate with Ventec Life Systems to help scale up and build life-saving ventilators. GM itself won't be building the machines, but the automaker will lend its logistics, purchasing and manufacturing expertise to Ventec as it ramps up production." https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/general-motors-ventilators-ventec-coronavirus-spread/ "Italian-U.S. car giant Fiat Chrysler has confirmed plans to produce a million face masks a month and said it will distribute them to emergency services in North America to help the fight against coronavirus. FCA, which is also trying to help produce badly needed respirators for patients in intensive care in Italy, is one of a number of large manufacturers adapting production lines to make products in desperately short supply." https://www.autoblog.com/2020/03/24/fia-chrysler-face-masks-ventilators/

If the buyer spent $10,000 on each, they lost the same amount(excluding the exact dollar amount). Nobody invests by buying a share quantity. They tell their broker how much to invest and they buy the closest whole share quantity to the dollar amount. Ferrari isn't a part of FCA, they're their own company. Lookup stock symbol RACE. I'm just way more confident in Cadillac or Lincoln totally botching a 200k luxury car than I would be in Bentley. Yes, experience and past execution..and don't give me that 1930's Cadillac's adjusted for inflation prices crap because none of those people are still employed at GM.

There are a TON of stocks that have dropped 50% or more in the last couple months. Ford, GM, Boeing, Harley Davidson, Alison....

On a lighter note, anybody watch any of the iRacing events held by NASCAR or F1 this weekend? I randomly came across the iRacing NASCAR event and it was actually really awesome and entertaining. It wasn't 100% the Cup Series field but they had 30-something drivers all at home with their own simulator rigs setup. There were plenty of big names like Earnhardt Jr, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Clint Boyer, and many others. A lot of them had cameras setup on them at home so the announcers(like a regular race) could talk to them. Some of them even had their crew chiefs and spotters on their headset with them. One driver actually picked up a sponsorship FOR the event. The racing itself was surprisingly really good(minus all of the cautions but that's entertaining as well). The iRacing program is supposedly extremely realistic with damage, tire wear, fuel consumption, weather conditions, etc. I haven't watched the F1 race yet. I'm not sure if their coverage was as good as the NASCAR event but I'll check it out some time today. Here's the link if you did want to watch it.

I mean, i get all of that and I think we've all heard that dozens of times already. It's the line @trinacriabob said that we're talking about...

I couldn't agree more. I genuinely do not know what to believe about it.

It's China. I don't believe a thing that comes out of there.

200k is 200k, right? It doesn't matter if its coming from Bentley or Cadillac. I have my doubts Cadillac(or any of the US Automakers) can do an interior worthy of a 200k starting price. That was my point.

I mean, you can choose your own colors.. The point was the high quality/materials that go into it.

I think a Duramax ZR2 Bison left almost stock would be ideal. You get range, a bed for holding extra stuffs, and 4 doors(also for extra stuffs), undercarriage protection and the off road capability while maintaining OEM reliability, would be pretty ideal. I think the only thing I'd possibly change would be a slightly larger set of tires and/or a small lift. It just doesn't need anything. I guess you could add a brush guard and winch for added protection.

I have my doubts they can put together an interior like this "worthy" of a 200k price tag. https://www.motortrend.com/news/2020-bentley-flying-spur-interior-how-its-made/

If it isn't in production and can't be purchased, can't pass crash safety standards, can't meet emissions requirements, it isn't real. It's just another fantasy concept vehicle. It's just a piece of art.

Well, nobody currently working at Cadillac was a part of those 30's-40's vehicles so there really isn't any proof they have the ability to do it, yet.

Those are two very different sized vehicles, aren't they? I thought the XT4 was tiny and the Envision was just below the 3-rower in the Enclave? Are they moving it down closer in size to the Encore? It looks sharp but kind of weird they're using the same name for what seems like a pretty big change in size. Well, FWIW, they're closer than I thought.

That 911 shooting brake is terrible. It'd be much easier to lower a Mecan than whatever the fck they're doing.

I think you must not have scrolled down far enough as it was announced in February. There was a button "load more" and it was down further.
