VW News: 2021 Volkswagen Arteon Decides To Freshen Up
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
They also appear to get a hybrid variant. "The 215bhp hybrid model is able to switch between full electric and hybrid modes, achieving up to 30 miles on a single charge of its 13kWh battery pack. The electric motor here is combined with the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and bespoke six-speed DSG ’box." -

The A4 is ~1500 more expensive and that gets you 188hp and 236tq. The A4 is smaller with a much weaker engine and it starts ~$1500 more. -

This is just a damn good looking vehicle. Isn't this much larger than an A4? Edit: It's 5 inches longer, 1 inch wider, and a quarter inch higher. -

Oh I agree. The F150 and Silverado should be on that list. -

It is a shame to see the best selling vehicles in the US(F150, Silverado, RAM 1500) not being on this list. GM and Ford are strangleholded(is that a word..?) by their got damn unions. They need to get rid of them. -
@dfelt, remember a few months ago when I told you about somebody I knew with a new Aviator and how well they liked it and they hadn't had any major issues..? Well things have since changed. He still loves the vehicle when it's being normal but he's having a major safety issue where when he goes from R -> D it will just idle away on its own. The brake pedal pushes but does absolutely nothing. He's posted a video and it's just idling about 5mph with him pumping the brake pedal and NOTHING. Very luckily, it has never happened around other people in a parking lot or anything but he said the worst time it did it was his driveway and it went ~150ft down his driveway before he could stop. He's taken it in now 3 times for this. The first time they couldn't replicate the issue and gave it back. The second time they re-flashed something or replaced something, didn't fix it. It is currently in on the 3rd attempt as the technicians just don't know what to do. i can't blame them as it seems above their level of fixing. He's trying to get rid of it and have Lincoln buy it back because it's a major safety issue. He's also had a small drive-line vibration that's been fixed on that 2nd visit. He's been in a Nautilus loaner for 2 or so weeks now. He's been dealing with somebody above dealership level trying to get it bought back.

Why any company would use IL as a manufacturing state blows my mind. I have to believe they're getting bent over on taxes and other crap compared to...most other states. They also fckd this launch up with all sorts of vehicle issues... -
interesting, i never thought about the county number for any state. IL apparently has 102. Oh maaaaaan... I LOVE garlic! We put garlic on most things whether its the powder or chopped cloves.

They also drive Lincoln MKC's... hahaha Okay, maybe not the "rich" part but the rest still fits. -

Hahaha I'm a hairy fella.. I was born in 1988 so I'm definitely in the millennial category(although the stereotype seems to be half a generation younger than me). I am certainly not a hipster. I don't wear skinny jeans, fedoras, beard wax...

Hello gents, Hows this place been the last few months? Anything new? Anybody buy something new?

The explorer has been extremely disappointing everywhere outside of its drivetrain.. That's about all it has going for it and even then the 2.3 is a little small for a 3-rower. What a botch by Ford.

They. Don't. Look at an Explorer and Aviator. They do not share switchgear and the same goes for the Corsair/MKC and Escape, Nautilus and Edge, Navigator and Expedition. From what I've read the literal only things they share is window switches and that's something that doesn't matter if the two look the same as they're tucked in the doors. All of the Lincolns also have higher engine options save for maybe the Navigator if the Expedition gets the high output version of the 3.5 but I don't believe it does. 8 inches really isn't small as long as it is shaped and organized correctly. Mine is 8 inches and it doesn't seem small but it looks like there is more surface area than the 10 inch BMW because it's square and not rectangular.
