  1. Hello gents, Hows this place been the last few months? Anything new? Anybody buy something new?
  2. 03-04 Mustang Cobra 04 Z06 Ducati 848 Streetfighter E63 AMG 2010-2013-ish Ram 1500
  3. The explorer has been extremely disappointing everywhere outside of its drivetrain.. That's about all it has going for it and even then the 2.3 is a little small for a 3-rower. What a botch by Ford.
  4. If I had the coin and was in the market for a large, luxury sedan, I would be crazy not to give this a legitimate opportunity.
  5. I'm fine with trashing garbage vehicles.
  6. He specifically said luxury brands...
  7. They. Don't. Look at an Explorer and Aviator. They do not share switchgear and the same goes for the Corsair/MKC and Escape, Nautilus and Edge, Navigator and Expedition. From what I've read the literal only things they share is window switches and that's something that doesn't matter if the two look the same as they're tucked in the doors. All of the Lincolns also have higher engine options save for maybe the Navigator if the Expedition gets the high output version of the 3.5 but I don't believe it does. 8 inches really isn't small as long as it is shaped and organized correctly. Mine is 8 inches and it doesn't seem small but it looks like there is more surface area than the 10 inch BMW because it's square and not rectangular.
  8. " Lincoln has created its own switchgear for the Continental (and eventually the rest of the Lincoln line) with knurled-metal control knobs on the steering wheel and A/C system, and unique turn-signal stalks. Just about the only Ford-style switchgear I could find in the cabin were the window switches on the doors, and the overhead storage binnacle mounted just forward of the optional panoramic moonroof. " "as well as a Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter engine making 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. " https://www.motortrend.com/cars/lincoln/continental/2017/2017-lincoln-continental-black-label-awd-first-drive-review/ Ford may have missed on the platform they chose to use but the car was the first real turning point for Lincoln and making them a truly luxury vehicle automaker again.
  9. What are the torque differences?
  10. I got my bike from my parents last week and have gone on a few bike rides this week to get out. I can't stand being stuck inside this much. I'm actually excited to get working on my lawn to do something outside and move around now that my gym has closed.
  11. Dang, it isn't $1.39 here.. I filled up the lawnmower yesterday(after a little tuneup - Spark plugs, air filter, and the oil change will probably be this weekend) and regular was $2.04 still. I get the old girl premium though as last year it was sputtering under not-full-throttle. this lawn mower was a hand-me-down from my dad when I bought this building to renovate as he bought a new Husquvarna. I don't have the tools at home for everything(well, at the time) so I took it to have the blades sharpened and they told me they were on backwards, Hahaha. My dad had taken them off to sharpen and put them on backwards so they were just ripping the grass. It also needed something else in the blade system that the barings were shot so it was cutting really crooked. $150 later and it cut like it was brand new. It has to be 15 years old at this point and me changing the spark plugs was the first time they were ever changed. My dad had never done that... just changed the oil and sharpened the blades every year(and put them back no backwards at least once!). I cut the grass yesterday and it seemed to fix whatever sputter it had. The plugs didn't look good but one really didn't look terrible.
  12. Dang, that was probably a pretty expensive spare wheel purchase but definitely worth it if you ever need it. What tires did you put on it?
  13. Flexes have absolutely grown on me. When they first came out, I thought they were atrocious. I think they're really good looking vehicles now. I wish I could have found one optioned the way I would have wanted in my price range when I was shopping last year. Oh well.. What's the spare tire in the hatch doing?
  14. Honestly, I don't hate the cube life. I like to be organized and keep my things in certain places and it's a nice way to keep organized. Our building is being remodeled floor by floor and when it's finished there won't be tall cube walls anywhere so it'll won't be the super isolated life it is now. The walls won't even go over the monitors so they'll be super low. It'll be an interesting change and we had that when we were located on a different floor for about a year. I liked it because it was easy to ask or talk to a team member without getting up and walking around the walls. Yep. fluorescent lights and beige walls are two of the things going in the remodel. It'll be all modern in white, greys, and wood. It's a VERY refreshing look compared to your above picture which is basically what the old floors look like to the T.
  15. That's very true. I'm fortunate to still be able TO work. I need to because my wife is a hair stylist and she obviously can't work right now.
  16. I'm not liking working from home either. I much prefer a work setting. I wish my commute was shorter but I like the getting out and being in a work environment.
  17. I do but luckily my wife is a hair stylist so it won't be too difficult to get one.
  18. My county gets a "B". -37% change in average distance traveled. 2 confirmed cases. I just stopped traveling to work yesterday. I finally got remote access and started working from home.
  19. That pricing seems absolutely insane. I guess I just live in a much much cheaper market because you can get quite a bit more house for 300k around here. My opinion only, I thoroughly believe that's more to do with China covering more up. They've been stagnant for a couple weeks now? VERY hard to believe.
  20. Type O+ blood here.
  21. One reason I love these companies... When they're called upon they help deliver to their counties. "On Tuesday, Ford detailed extraordinary measures it's undertaking as the automaker ramps up efforts to support health care workers on the frontlines. The Blue Oval said it's already started 3D-printing face shields -- a critical piece of personal protective gear -- for health care workers to help protect them from the virus as they treat patients. The first 1,000 shields already shipped out to local Michigan hospitals for use. By the end of this week, Ford says it will have 75,000 shields complete, and 100,000 shields will roll out of two Ford facilities weekly thereafter. While work continues on face shields, Ford said it's teamed up with 3M and GE to support the design and manufacturing of respirator masks and life-saving ventilators. With 3M, Ford told its engineers to get scrappy and creative, and they delivered. " More details in the link. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/ford-coronavirus-face-shields-3m-respirators-ge-ventilators/ "The automaker said Friday evening it will collaborate with Ventec Life Systems to help scale up and build life-saving ventilators. GM itself won't be building the machines, but the automaker will lend its logistics, purchasing and manufacturing expertise to Ventec as it ramps up production." https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/general-motors-ventilators-ventec-coronavirus-spread/ "Italian-U.S. car giant Fiat Chrysler has confirmed plans to produce a million face masks a month and said it will distribute them to emergency services in North America to help the fight against coronavirus. FCA, which is also trying to help produce badly needed respirators for patients in intensive care in Italy, is one of a number of large manufacturers adapting production lines to make products in desperately short supply." https://www.autoblog.com/2020/03/24/fia-chrysler-face-masks-ventilators/
  22. If the buyer spent $10,000 on each, they lost the same amount(excluding the exact dollar amount). Nobody invests by buying a share quantity. They tell their broker how much to invest and they buy the closest whole share quantity to the dollar amount. Ferrari isn't a part of FCA, they're their own company. Lookup stock symbol RACE. I'm just way more confident in Cadillac or Lincoln totally botching a 200k luxury car than I would be in Bentley. Yes, experience and past execution..and don't give me that 1930's Cadillac's adjusted for inflation prices crap because none of those people are still employed at GM.
  23. There are a TON of stocks that have dropped 50% or more in the last couple months. Ford, GM, Boeing, Harley Davidson, Alison....
  24. On a lighter note, anybody watch any of the iRacing events held by NASCAR or F1 this weekend? I randomly came across the iRacing NASCAR event and it was actually really awesome and entertaining. It wasn't 100% the Cup Series field but they had 30-something drivers all at home with their own simulator rigs setup. There were plenty of big names like Earnhardt Jr, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Clint Boyer, and many others. A lot of them had cameras setup on them at home so the announcers(like a regular race) could talk to them. Some of them even had their crew chiefs and spotters on their headset with them. One driver actually picked up a sponsorship FOR the event. The racing itself was surprisingly really good(minus all of the cautions but that's entertaining as well). The iRacing program is supposedly extremely realistic with damage, tire wear, fuel consumption, weather conditions, etc. I haven't watched the F1 race yet. I'm not sure if their coverage was as good as the NASCAR event but I'll check it out some time today. Here's the link if you did want to watch it.
  25. I mean, i get all of that and I think we've all heard that dozens of times already. It's the line @trinacriabob said that we're talking about...
