Samsung shows off new Foldable Flip Phone
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electronics and Technology
Huh..? You don't enjoy a good sound system? Today's TVs have the worst sound. They just don't have the room TVs used to to be able to put quality speakers in them. -
Illinois is a little closer to you than Washington! Hahaha

How can you have a kickass subwoofer and receiver with Samsung speakers?!? -

I know we're fairly off topic at this point but I recently got my home theater setup up and running. Receiver: Denon AVR-X1300W https://www.crutchfield.com/p_033AVX1300/Denon-AVR-X1300W.html Rear speakers: Polk RC80i https://www.crutchfield.com/p_107RC80I/Polk-Audio-RC80i.html Front left and right speakers: Polk RC85i https://www.crutchfield.com/p_107RC85I/Polk-Audio-RC85i.html?tp=192 Center channel: Polk S35 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_107SIGS35/Polk-Audio-Signature-S35-Washed-Black-Walnut.html?tp=189 Sub: Polk PSW505 https://www.crutchfield.com/S-vh4pjN537wW/p_107PSW505/Polk-Audio-PSW505.html -

I would never choose a company like Samsung for home theater speakers. Choose a real speaker/audio company. Tell them to buy the charger for the laptop and you won't have to worry about charging speed. You have a real home theater setup. -

Compass and Renegade start at $22,095 and $22,275. That's hardly "near 30k".

That might be the first long-term Galaxy that I've heard a positive review of. Typically, they're great out of the box and garbage 12 months later. The only thing Samsung I will consider is their TVs. I won't even consider anything else they make. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

HD is much worse, IMO. You mean a 2020 Camaro and emergency refresh it? Well, their sales fell behind Ram for the first time in...EVER. -

I guess it wasn't canceled but put on a delay but it received pretty garbage reviews. -

There is almost zero chance that screen lasts 4 years like my iPhone screens have. Exactly my thinking. I'm not opposed to them when they've been tested and proven but no thank you to a first-timer. Wasn't there a folding smartphone out just last year and it was canceled almost immediately after it broke super easy? Yup, Samsung Fold. -
Cadillac News: The Unclear Future of the Blackwing V8
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Stock for stock, there's no way I'd take the GM version of what Mercedes offers in an engine. Then again, there isn't much to compare as GM is cramming the n/a V6 in everything and Mercedes wants nothing to do with a torque-less engine like that. -

I will 100% pass on a folding screen phone. -

Isn't the downsizing and turbo-ing an emissions thing and not an output thing? -
It makes sense. It's a mid-size truck priced like a half-ton truck. You can get heavily discounted and very well equipped F150's, Silverados, and Rams for 40k all day long. The only REAL appeal to the Gladiator is the styling(obviously subjective) and it's off-road package in the Rubicon. Outside of that, it's ridiculously overpriced. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=537902194&zip=62249&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D62249%26listingTypes%3DNEW%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26maxPrice%3D41000%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26modelCodeList%3DF150PICKUP%26makeCodeList%3DFORD%26searchRadius%3D200%26driveGroup%3DAWD4WD%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse&listingTypes=NEW&numRecords=25&maxPrice=41000&firstRecord=0&modelCodeList=F150PICKUP&makeCodeList=FORD&searchRadius=200&clickType=spotlight https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=540909248&zip=62249&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D62249%26listingTypes%3DNEW%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26maxPrice%3D41000%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26modelCodeList%3DCHEV150%26makeCodeList%3DCHEV%26searchRadius%3D200%26driveGroup%3DAWD4WD%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse&listingTypes=NEW&numRecords=25&maxPrice=41000&firstRecord=0&modelCodeList=CHEV150&makeCodeList=CHEV&searchRadius=200&makeCode1=CHEV&modelCode1=CHEV150&digitalRetail=true&clickType=listing https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=538646406&zip=62249&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D62249%26listingTypes%3DNEW%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26maxPrice%3D41000%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26modelCodeList%3DRM1500%26makeCodeList%3DRAM%26searchRadius%3D200%26driveGroup%3DAWD4WD%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse&listingTypes=NEW&numRecords=25&maxPrice=41000&firstRecord=0&modelCodeList=RM1500&makeCodeList=RAM&searchRadius=200&clickType=spotlight Why would you consider a Gladiator at MSRP when these deals can be had at the half-ton level?

I think I'm about where @balthazar is talking about, small town of 10k people, surrounded by fields, 30 minutes to downtown Stl. Louis(west) or 20-30 minutes to other shopping areas(more south than west). I think it's about perfect. Access to city-stuff but small town-ness.

Chicago 2019: 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road: Comments
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Chicago Auto Show (CAS)
They do also offer a pretty good overall package for those who just want space, fuel economy, and a solid overall vehicle. There's absolutely nothing special about them(save for maybe the TRD) but there's also nothing glaringly wrong with them.- 27 replies

I don't know what this is but it's really pretty. I wish it was French and not British as I couldn't let an Aston go... I looked it up and they are a very interesting blend of retro styling and modern technology.

I do like the lower fascia a lot more on the refreshed one.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
That was my initial thought, as well. The thing is, it's not sucky for Tesla's ACTUAL customers. It's sucky for the cheap-asses(myself included) who won't buy new. -

I would surely hope they had their law team go through this before taking those options away because that's REALLY crappy.
