  1. I actually just bought a set of Nito Motivos three weeks ago from a local chain, AutoTire(parent company is a national chain though so it's only "local"). I was about to buy the tires from TireBuyer and have them shipped to them. I called in advance to ask about the process and he told me they can beat their prices if I bought them directly through them. I told them what my TireBuyer quote was and they beat it by $4/tire. Not a ton but install was $19/tire so it was basically one free installation, I'll take it. $660 out the door with an alignment check(no adjustments needed or it would have been an additional $85).
  2. When you're rating, you're never pulling from 1500rpm anyway. You don't need much torque in a car that's on a racetrack. it would benefit from a fatter mid-range but it doesn't need much from 1500-3000rpm for a racing series. Look at F1 cars if you're doubting that fact.
  3. For that kind of money you can easily find a 2.0 or 3.6 Camaro(probably with the 1LE package as well) or 2.3 Mustang. A 1LE 2.0T Camaro can be had for $29,500. 1LE 3.6 Camaro can be had for $32,100. The 2.3 EcoBoost Mustang can be had with the "high performance package"(I thought it was just "performance package" in the past) for $32,300. I do understand this Toyota is probably as loaded up as it can get so with the Mustang and Camaro adding the performance packages for those prices, you're definitely in lesser trims. It's unfortunate because I think the Toyota LOOKS like a perfect alternative to the MX-5, as I'm not a fan of convertibles. It just sucks it has an engine not really worthy of the vehicle. It doesn't so much need more horsepower or even toque, it just needs to be a more rev happy engine that inspires aggressive driving. I think it is extremely attractive. I would absolutely like to drive one and they're probably quite a bit of fun. The downside to me is extracting more power out of them. I remember watching a full detailed video about modifying them and dynoing them after each common aftermarket part and with like a tune, intake, and exhaust, they only got like 10whp out of it. They just don't respond well to common aftermarket parts and pretty much need boost to really add any power. That would be a huge downside to me. It isn't wicked quick and I wouldn't be going for some 400hp Toyota 86 or whatever, but I'd like to be able to get like 225-250WHP. That would be properly quick for the size of car.

  5. Straight to the heart strings there... ?
  6. I LOVE the use of blues here!
  7. I'm okay with a very light interior as long as it is accented with darker colors. I would never want an interior as light as the above pictures G-Wagen.
  8. What are you talking about? There is more than one vehicle with some red interior. You're looking at ONE 50's car. I doubt every 50's car had all sorts of color choices, I could be wrong.
  9. It looks terrible in the animated pictures. I'm curious what it looks like in person. It certainly wouldn't be towards the top of my list but at least they give you more than black, grey, and lighter grey as options.
  10. Gotta get maximum light for Olds, so he doesn't feel like he's in a prison.
  11. There are 23 other options, you don't have to get black and green.
  12. Getcha a Mercedes. You get a nice palette even on the little GLC300. You even get these choices on the GLA. Spend the big bucks and you can almost get anything you want.
  13. The Bolt has a terrible shape to it and this looks the exact same.. EDIT: I didn't realize that was a video of it morphing. It certainly is different and better.
  14. You do realize there is an aftermarket for BOTH engines.. Comparing the Diesel to the base engine..not the most popular V6. While they both cost the same to drive 25 miles, the diesel will be a WAY better experience than the n/a 2.5, 4 banger.
  15. My dad is in a similar driving situation with his Tacoma. 2012 and it has around 45,000 miles on it. He only lives 3 miles from work and when him and my mom go places they usually take her car as it gets better mileage. She had a 2012 Fusion and just a few months ago got a 2020 RAV4 TRD. It's a pretty dang sweet little CUV. The ONLY thing it doesn't have that I'd want is a more powerful engine. It's pretty loaded up for not being the top trim. I'm not really sure what the top trim really adds to what they have. Theirs has heated and cooled seats, lane keeping assist, radar cruise control, a rearview mirror like Caddy's that acts as a camera when you flip the switch, and of course their neat off road touches like crawl control and hill hold. Daaaamn, so like ONE TANK OF GAS?!? I average about 12,000 per year. I think the average american is in the 12,000-15,000 range.
  16. 10,000 miles per year really isn't too bad for that lease. I would have expected one of the "ultra low" 8,000 miles per year, kind of leases.
  17. Understandable, I don't think I've ever seen one in person and yet Raptors are pretty common. I think a SuperCap is still "only" 57k.
  18. This is a fantastic looking vehicle.
  19. Maybe they finally said "screw it" and "EcoBoosted" the 5.0!?! Haha I doubt it but there's still a chance until there's an official reveal.
  20. I think Ford would be smart to continue a lesser Raptor with the 3.5 at a more reasonable price and then the s/c 5.2 for a 5-10k premium. The current Raptor starts at 54k in SuperCab without extra options and the TRX starts at 72k. There is definitely room to keep a lesser Raptor around the 55k range and then something pricier to compete with the TRX.
  21. I believe you're the first/only person I've talked to that doesn't like it and I talk to plenty of fanboys of their respective brands. I thought it was quite unanimous that they hit it out of the ballpark outside of the IFS for those serious off-roaders.
  22. Personally, if they said not to use it and VW went ahead and used it, that's not on them. Should they have told on them, I guess... ??‍♂️I don't hold them responsible for what VW did.
  23. Not a fan of the Bronco?
  24. There was a VW documentary I watched and I believe there was an email exchange that they stated the part was not to be used in consumer vehicles and obviously VW did what they wanted with the part(s). I think they covered their own backside with the scandal. The buying public who's spending tens of thousands of dollars on their vehicle just want the product they want. I think very few people actually care about what goes on behind closed doors, they just want the best product(in their eyes).
  25. I mean I understand what you're talking about but at the same time, the high trims are typically easy cash for them. The next Ranger will be on the Bronco's platform so they could just plug and play with whatever they do to the Bronco. It should be relatively easy cash. I can't imagine them doing NOTHING to the next Ranger that would be exciting off-road.
