  1. His acts and ways that he destroyed that country had nothing to do with socialism. It was socialism in name only because that was the platform he was trying to sell when he really only wanted it for himself. BTW, I am not advocating socialism here but to say that Venezuela failed because of it is being grossly misinformed. It has worked for some countries and has not worked for others, much the same as capitalism. No one system is perfect nor the be all to end all.
  2. To call Venezuela a purely socialist country is a bit misleading and a misnomer. It was for decades controlled by a power hungry dictator who bled the system dry and tried to "nationalize" every industry under a single umbrella while using his power to intimidate and dismiss his detractors and enemies. Ever since Chavez, the country has struggled to recover from his actions. That country was about as socialist as Cuba. To compare it to a "certain socialist country in the EU" is very much an apples to oranges comparison when you understand what has happened there over the last thirty years. http://abcnews.go.com/ABC_Univision/News/ways-chavez-destroyed-venezuelan-economy/story?id=18239956 http://www.news.com.au/world/south-america/an-australian-venezuelan-speaks-how-hugo-chavez-totally-ruined-my-country/news-story/7e47152c9573dc7e4db88899d03dd89c None of this is the direct result of socialism. It is a direct result of a failed cesspot dictator.
  3. The head on collision will be both sad and epic!
  4. Any "best interior" list that includes a Mini is not to be trusted lol. Worst ergonomics out there.

Understood. Having worked in behavioral health for years, I'm a little more open about calling it as I see it lol!

Oh no. He was mental and I have quite a few old PMs to back that up but we can agree to disagree here. I'll just say good riddance.

"Crossing the line" doesn't even begin to describe it. He is mental.
  8. I am very much not a British car fan overall (reliability reasons) but the XJ is the best looking full size luxury car out there. Just love the look.
  9. Certainly understandable but neither one would be a bad choice IMO.
  10. With that DOHC V8 coming soon, I don't think they will be resting for long. The Slade is too big of a cash cow to let that happen but you are exactly right regarding sales.
  11. I don't even want to be around anyone who does that much less ride in the same car as them. Just hell no!
  12. What gets old is when someone lumps one person in with others when that one person did not "down the whole company". He simply presented his opinion.
  13. Escalade-2862 Navigator-897 Surely the new Navigator will close the gap.
  14. It is most likely offset by being slightly larger plus having more "gadgets" than the previous gen. All of that adds up.
  15. Any mention of the weight of this? I know it shaved a lot of weight going aluminum, which is a good thing but I'm curious as to the actual weight savings and how it compares to the competition.
  16. Talk about putting words in ones mouth. Ease up Stew. I only pointed out that a larger number of LX models were relegated to fleet than they were when they first came out. I'm not "acting like" they are all fleet and never said anything of the sort. Ease up and understand that I'm not hating on them (for more than obvious reasons). My LX was the best car I have ever owned. However, that does not blind me to the fact that the Charger and 300 are on borrowed unless FCA does something miraculous. So far, I'm just not seeing it. It sucks that FCA has taken this long to even address the damn cars properly.
  17. Oh good grief man. I'm not denying the fleet presence of other makes and models but you are not looking through objective glasses if you think that fleet sales have not become a larger part of Charger sales. You already came right out and said that the Charger was purpose built for police fleets.
  18. No it was not. It was not purpose built for it. It was just a bonus because it was a full size sedan, which law enforcement preferred at the time. It was retail first, fleet second. Same with the Magnum and 300. Even if so, it's money maker has always been the retail market with a little help from fleet. Now it is completely reversed and that is not good no matter how you try to spin it. The fact that you are trying to point out these other cars as being fleet queens proves my point and it's not good for any of them long term but at least they continue to update their models unlike FCA in the last few years (in regards to the Charger and 300).
  19. There is a big difference between the Caprice being fleet, which was its singular purpose from the start and cars like the Charger, Impala (previous gen) or Crown Vic, which were for the retail market and due to neglect of the platform ( or for whatever reasons) became more fleet queen than retail darling. Again, you know I'm a LX fan but let's be realistic about things here. A Volt would absolutely be the perfect solution for me. I would never have to fill up during my weekly work commute (which is only ten miles one way) and if I want to hit the highway for a long drive, no problems there either.
  20. You are clearly not looking at both maps. Most people would not have an issue with the current set up that will only grow as time passes. I love the LX cars but they are selling better becuase of an increase in fleet sales. Feel free to look that up. The other cars you mentioned, like the Panther series, stayed on that long for the same reasons why the LX continues on, fleet market.
  21. As dfelt, showed below, there are thousands of other charging stations not owned by Tesla to help fill the void. I have a love/hate with the Demon. I love the fact that it aopologizes for nothing. I hate that this comes off as a desperate last gasp by FCA in regards to Dodge. Hopefully I'm wrong but that's what it seems like to me.
  22. Sparse wasn't the issue you presented though. You said they were only in the big cities and this map shows that is not true. They are growing by the month as well so plenty more are coming. You have to start some where, after all and starting on major interstate routes is the right way to start it.
  23. You are wrong regarding the charging stations. There are plenty and they are not just in big cites.
  24. RIP Charlie Murphy. You helped bring us the funniest skit ever seen and for that, we thank you. I'm all for a public flogging just to make an example of them.
  25. A vast improvement over its predescessor and long overdue but I'm with Stew on the floating screen. It seems like an afterthought and the dash, while nice, seems way overdone. Still, a vast improvement and it will most certainly sell in greater numbers.
