  1. Impressive side stepping but 100% unrelated to what I was saying. Good grief man. Pay attention. Now that you bring it up though, shall we talk about the German auto makers and how they treat their US employees? The average wage of a German auto worker is $67/hr. It's not even a third of that here and no, it does not have squat do with Germany being a more costly place in which to live. That is what I am talking about here. They pay a shot wage here and all the rest of the money goes to Germany. Now I realize that GM, Ford, and FCA do the same in other countries but you cannot sit on that high horse of yours and complain about their practices while ignoring German makes. Simply baffling how you can't get that concept. And please explain this bit of hypocrisy. You said it doesn't matter about the country of origin but not even two months ago you said you'd never buy a Chinese made S Class. Because I don't care where the profits go to. All these corporations have a lot of stock bought by the investment companies, whether it be Ford, GM, Toyota, or Daimler. And they all build cars in multiple countries around the world. And I would not buy a made in China Mercedes, luckily for me they build many of them in Germarny (despite the high labor costs) and they build them in the USA too.But buying a car made in China, is not supporting America. That is like saying buying Donald Trump's made in China ties is good for the American worker. It is ridiculous. If you want to say buying a made in Kentucky Corvette is good for America, I am all in on that one. Interestingly enough, 34.8% of Daimler stock is owned by Germans, 31.2% by other European countries, and 23.7% is owned by Americans. So it isn't like 100% of the money goes back to Germany, only 1/3 does. Then there's your problem right there. You should care where the profits are going because profits kept here means profits that are spent here. It's a real simple concept actually and how you fail to see that is beyond me.Oh and thanks for proving your hypocrisy on the countries of origin remark. That literally makes no damn sense.
  2. No price raise. I repeat. No price raise. Lol. No worries suave. I suffer frequently from rampant brain farts. It's like mental constipation.
  3. Less than 5000 camaros sold? Wow! That's not good no matter you slice the retail pie.
  4. A step up FROM base is fine and that is what should happen. What should not happen is pricing a hybrid AS the base model with the next trim being $5K higher. That has been my whole point from the get go. And it is not a stretch to bring up the S Class In comparison. It illustrated perfectly the pricing tier I was talking about which contradicts SMKs assumption that the hybrid should be the cheapest for Cadillac. It literally makes no sense no matter how you slice it.
  5. He thinks the CT6 hybrid should be $5k cheaper than the entry model while Benz matches the price of the two. Still don't see the issue? Reading comprehension is your friend Suave. There is no logic there. The hybrid is supposed to be a step up from base, not as an entry point to base, much less being $5K cheaper than base. Simply no logic when you break it down.
  6. So you would have them do it exactly the opposite of the competition? While some poor soul down voted this, they should have considered where I got my statement from. The S Class hybrid is the exact same price as the base model, hence my "why would Cadillac do the exact opposite of the competition". They could price it identical to the base CT6 and do just fine with that. Inform yourself next time.

  9. Then you clearly don't get it and I'm offended that you are so blind to this. Sure, the assemblers get their pay but the rest of that money goes right back overseas to their foreign owners. If you don't see the problem there, then maybe you should be offended at yourself.
  10. Not selling on a value proposition? Ummm...https://www.google.com/search?q=2014+mercedes+cla+ad&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwia4bKmrNDNAhVE5mMKHYWYCdIQ_AUICCgB&biw=414&bih=628&dpr=3#imgrc=Q2KbY5ZTTAUDVM%3A
  11. It's built to German specifications regardless of location.
  12. Won't depreciate like those two? Riiiiiight. Must be why you can pick up a "gently used" MB at great low prices. And it has that wonderful Jaguar reliability we've come to know and love for so many years. </sarcasm>
  13. Sometimes I'll eat a can of chick peas for lunch. However, I don't like hummus at all. Good luck. BMI is terrifically misleading. People under guess my weight by 25-35 lbs regularly. I'm 'densely packed'. I could never get to a "normal" weight. I am the same way. The weight guessers at the carnivals hate me.
  14. My thought was completely random. Any attempt to read any further into it is on the reader.Seriously. It was an interesting read. https://luckyottershaven.com/2015/04/29/5-more-weird-things-you-may-see-a-narcissist-do/
  15. I just read an article about the connection between incessant laughter and narcissism. It's a very good read for those concerned about such things.
  16. Self absorption and consistent narcissism are even funnier especially when one hasn't even been doing the down voting of which one may be speaking. Lol indeed.
  17. I'm not saying the car isn't worth what they are asking but that wasn't what you were suggesting and as a result not what I was talking about. You think they should be priced more and if the competition is comparably equipped, then you don't just ask for more money just because you think it's worth more. It's worth more when it is seen as being just as reliable and bullet proof as a Honda Civic. Then, you can start carrying the same premium that a Civic does in the average customers mind.
  18. No offense but that is simply the worst thing they could possibly do is to price their cars (assuming they are comparably equipped, mind you) HIGHER than the imports. This isn't Cadillac we are talking about here. This is the ultra competitive compact market, where price is (whether you like it or not) king and you price competitively if you want to succeed in that market.
  19. Mainly because one part is dealing the words and their meaning while the math is an obvious metaphor for connecting the dots.
  20. Our words for the day are "self" and "absorbed". Maybe one day someone will put two and two together.
  21. It's premature to assume these things until we see what it comes with standard. "It should be noted that the hatchback isn't offered in the base L or LS trims like the sedan. The more apt comparison would the Cruze LT sedan which begins at $20,695. Comparing the prices of the LT models sees a difference of $1,495."[/size] You're definitely right but that sucks that you're again forced into a package if you want a hatch. A lot of people like the added space and ability of a hatch and you have to pony up a few grand more for Chevy's as opposed to those others listed. Not everybody wants or can afford the creature comforts but need the space of a hatch. I agree with that. It sucks not having a cheaper model but I get why they would want a higher margin model out first. Maybe they will tweak that next year.
