Your points are valid to a point. 1) Absolutely. I am seeing effin Mustang ads every freaking day. Had the same momentum of the ATS ads, in the beginning, kept up, then their sales would be double. Speculation yes... but I saw a great deal of excitement seeing the ATS racing down the mountain side in Italy(?) a few years back.. "Robot Arms" would have been fine had a celebration actually been in order. The CTS, on the other hand started off with one commercial that I remember and haven't seen since... the "Moon Shot." 2) I don't agree with this at all. The ATS is necessary and should be fleshed out. A beautiful car left bland in anything not incorporating full fascia. The LED vertical front lights should be across the board at Cadillac. The ATS should have had a convertible ready for Summer. A Wagon. A Hybrid. It is possibly the most important car at Cadillac in convincing the masses that Cadillac is no longer "snooty and old luxury." In view of sales the proportion of sales is on point with the CTS tho. Eclass sells almost 45 of what the C-Class does. Same for the two Cadillacs. ATS sales need to go up though, but they could do this by advertising it and offering more desirable options. Great looking? Yes! But when the CTS goes to battle, it needs something more to stand on....and be able to show it. Heck, the V series used to a big deal......but the people I talk to just don't talk about it like they used to....that-needs to change.

Well, this segment is about many things, image being one of them. If they want to chase the big boys, they need to make some noise here....and remind people why they are a rolex.....

I'm suddenly thinking people are out to get this Cobalt.... Kinda like a target on the back on this thing.....

Uhhh what..? The ATS is a compact, the CTS is midsize. Those are extremely common luxury car tiers: Audi A4 and A6 Lexus IS and GS MB C-class and E-class Acura ILX and TLX All Cadillac has to do is continue building its reputation, and yes advertising is an important part of that. Fair enough....but-what does it really have going for it, say against the E class or the GS? It does have the looks (really growing on me now), but at least to me does not stand out in any huge way......

You know what's killing me here? 7 pages of brands this/brands that, yet I fail to see how they can fix CTS issue in general. There is a reason why the car is not selling....and I'll start with two: 1- Is it still here? (what advertising?) 2- ATS. Kinda makes the CTS pointless. BMW is a company, not a division like Caddy. You do not need to compete with them on every level. You move the product that sells...... I get it...I like the CTS-but I fail to see the point in it at the moment.....and guessing by the sales, I am not the only one........

Interesting.....maybe there won't be a need in the pipeline....rumors going round that the upcoming Civics might be doing around 40 on their own... Kinda makes a few of these models pointless......

Which makes me realize mine is due for an oil change and a blade adjustment. It actually kinda looks like the first green craftsman on the first page! I'm hoping it doesn't rod knock on me, as it's been a pretty good mower.... Like I said, seeing this kinda makes me want a another used mower to play with..... Looks good though!

In a crowded market....how are they going to fit in? Cheapest price? Clever marketing? Not so sure here....

I've seen that here already. The local dodge dealership pretty much used to give leases away here....not any more. The Compass was a 150 buck special last year, cheapest lease this year is 300 bucks with money down. And they are selling more this year than last. I'm going to stay down at the small car level myself. Would love a colorado, but simply can't justify the 30k+ price tag. Thinking some sort of cruze, though I'm waiting on more info on the 2016.... Then something well picked used for the wife....

They don't. In general everyone here is well behaved and I'm around enough to hand out the rather minor beatings that do occur. I haven't had to put a temp ban on someone in over a year and I haven't had to permanently ban someone since Josh. Only 1 person has gotten warnings in the past year at least. Buzz wanted to be the mod for the Tesla forum, I threw in Fisker too because of the similar nature of the cars and that the Fisker forum will be pretty dead for a while until the company gets back on their feet. Yeah, it's pretty quiet here...... We banned Josh? Did not know that...... Josh the old admin from a decade ago.. .the one with a drinking problem who crashed his solstice? Yeah. After I took over, he came around looking for money and was generally being.... Josh. Oh, that Josh! Never mind....

Because Nissan has just about given up on anything that isn't a CVT. With everyone trying different things to get better fuel mileage for CAFE standards, Nissan's biggest push in that direction so far really has been CVT everything. It has it's good and it's bad points, it isn't horrible for those looking for an appliance, but they need to get their heads out of their rears and realize that if they are going to label something as a sports car it definitely should not be running a CVT. Their CVT has been really good at hiding the deficiencies of their 4-cylinder engines in the NVH department. Yeah, that is true.....
