Nope, they actually keep their resale value... I don't think I've seen one cheaper than 12 grand (US) used...

A 97-01 Century would be a good choice, as would a 99-03 Mailbu. The 3.1 can run awhile, and the bodys seem to be holding up quite well so far... I've seen 04 Mailbus around here from 7900-9500 with decent miles (around 50k).....and the 2.2 Ecos are both good on gas long lasting.... Aleros are a good choice too, though I've seen quite a few people getting rid of them, Though they have all been for new cars (The last Olds are starting to hit trade in time....) Though a bit boring, Cobalts are a good choice too. I've starting to notice that they are getting Cavalier resale value thogh... Monte? Prism?

I've heard a mix of stories... Pre 97-most of the stories aren't great... But So far the 97 up don't seem to be doing too bad....

I'm glad you told me that-I was looking at the little one.... How much do you think the MAF sensor will fix on my poor wagon? I'm hoping for both better pick up and idle.....I'm thinking the MAF isn't working much (or at all-when it's warm outside-the cars really drags... I'll have to take another look tomorrow...

I think the main reason for the slide on those trucks is the simple fact that they are gas-guzzling trucks, no matter which way you spin it. The B***h slap that hit the Big 3 and their trucks is now catching up to Honda and Toyota's truck line-ups... I think a lot has to do with the price of gas.... THough being older models is not helping either... I'll be interested to see how the Ridgeline does in the next few months....

.....a grandma version! :AH-HA_wink: I missed the chance to pick up a 97 Ford Escort wagon ...Mint green...my buddy picked it up for 650 bucks.... 42,356 Miles...this thing was in pretty good shape..only downside was that it had been sitting for the last 8 months... You don't see these much around here any more (unless you're Fly.. :AH-HA_wink: ) Now he can park his truck a bit more... Actually, I could rock one of these....mint green, and a wagon? Well, there you go... :AH-HA_wink:
