  1. C-Drew? Tower of Power? Captain Obvious?
  2. Sweet! That's a good enough reason to get the blue silverado WT I saw tonight....
  3. That's strange-but interesting-I've seen paint issues on the 97+ vans...I wonder if that could be one of the main reasons why they rust so much.... It's interesting you say Ventures rust bad- I think I've seen just a few Ventures with any rust on them-usually on the slidling door. Even the dustbuster vans seem to say mostly rust free... Older Ford Vans seem to get rusty too-but the ones from 01 up seem to be ok (knock on metal) On the other hand, I've seen all gens of Tarurs rusting-I guess they should be happy they keep running...
  4. Hypertech. You should see what it did for a co-worker's F 150...
  5. Nah, I wouldn't put too much money into these SUVs....because-regardless of what they do these two-they are stil going to have to put money on the hood to sell them. I usually don't like to see a car die a slow death-but in this case-I would say yes. Money would be better spent on the Volt/ Compact/subcompact/midsize car market. Unless these things could get around 30mpgs...then it wouldn't be worth it. Actually though-the 360s are going to get an update in 2009 MY. They will get some of the benefits of the 9-7x and Rainier parts bin-as you will see some of this stuff showing up on the TB and Envoy. I think they also get freshened fronts and rears, and also get an optional DOD v-8 also. Other than that-I don't expect too much changing...as 360s should be gone by 2012......replaced with something better...
  6. I just saw one of those today too..
  7. Newer ones? 97-03? 96-back? I know the pre-97 ones rust pretty quick...
  8. It's possible. I live in a state that loves to use salt... But even GM's old dustbuster vans are still in better shape here....
  9. Maybe it is just me, but I have noticed quite a few rusty Caravans lately... Not the beat up ones from the 80s...I'm talking late 90s early 00s.... And it is not just a bits of rust (like those who never. ever wash the car ) This rusting is everywhere-doors, hood, hatch, front doors, sliding doors.... Now I expect this out of the older cars (80s, early 90s), but some of these vans are barely 10 years old. A good griend of my mom has a 03 Caravan-and the sliding door alreay has a decent amount of rust on it. Makes me sad. I was actually considering a SB caravan to replace the wagon ( More room for friends/family hockey stuff)... Hmmm...Do you guys notice this too.Or am I crazy?
  10. Said best, I think. May there be many good times ahead....
  11. That sounds cool.
  12. Washed once a week (expect wagon-too much rust) I try to wax 2-3 times a year...the whole system wax. Clean the inside when I can.... I think her car might be due for a clay-barring this year...
  13. That sucks...he was one of my favorites too.... R.I.P Chris-you will be missed.....
  14. Well- A 5dr XE in Twilight Blue. Auto, Sunroof. AND IT BETTER BE UNDER 20k!
  15. Well, what about a Buick? When I got rid of the s-10, I really wasn't looking for a new car. I went with a friend and his dad to the local Biuck dealer. His dad was looking for new car to reaplce his aging 91 Lumina. So he test drove a fully loaded biuck Century. All 3 of us took it for a good long drive. I have no clue why, but I really liked the way it drove. His dad bought the one they they test drove, and were trying to talk me into the white one I had my eye on. Even the monthly payments weren't too bad. After getting about 15 min to think about it, I passed. I think I would have actually enjoyed the car. It was a simple, easy to drive car. Sadly, a few months later I caved in and bought the wife a 2003 Cavalier..... (though it was too good of a deal to pass up) And I few weeks ago I almost got talked into replacing my wagon with a 99 Accord...I really thought about it....decided that the miles (96k) were too high....
  16. Well, it at least you didn't run over yours.... Then again, I didn't have to worry about resetting it either.....
  17. Yep-remember that ...darn body snatchers....
  18. That makes the Aveo look like a luxury car...
  19. I'm throwing a guess out here, but it could be a temp sensor... It doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between AC and heat.
  20. Congrats on those 1000 posts! And the message was pretty cool too.. I just realized I passed 2500 and didn't even know it... I've been here a while myself...I remember when you left 98.....but I think in time most of the people here will grow on you. Though some of us are a crazy bunch! :AH-HA_wink: Many things have changed, but then again many haven't. Fly is still as witty as ever. 68 is still complaining about GM. (you know we love ya- :AH-HA_wink: ) And BV is still here driving us nuts (but we wouldn't have it any other way) It's just a good place to call home.
  21. :rotflmao:
