  1. I would step over my own mother for that car at $1500 if it existed in my neck of the woods. You need to buy that immediately.
  2. I want a Ted Kennedy sticker on a black 1968 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 sedan.
  3. I dunno what it is about this area and older exotics lately but I saw a red Lamborghini Countach when I went for lunch today. Very odd.
  4. http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/908484540.html I guarantee this thing would have been way cooler in unmodified form. Assholes.
  5. Every Monday morning at around 7:30 AM when I'm heading to my other job, I see a nice white 1959 Chevrolet Bel-Air two-door hardtop go by on the opposite side of the highway. Hopefully some day I'll be able to drive something neat like that to work in the good weather.....
  6. Generation 1 for me. It makes my stomach turn to know what I did to all of my Transformers and playsets knowing what some of them are worth today.
  7. It had a ZZ350 crate motor in it.
  8. I'll second the authentication of the one and only Mad Max '68 Camaro. Bastards yanked the motor, too!
  9. That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long long time in terms of great finds. Clean it up, make it safe, and drive it. DO NOT restore it. Call up Bloomington Gold and have them photograph every single square inch of it.
  10. Visited my parents before work today and got my first (albeit short) ride in my father's freshly restored 1937 Packard Super Eight, and my mom gave me a 1926 buffalo nickel she got back in change from a vending machine at her work.
  11. Saw a silver Ferrari 308 GTS and a bright orange Lotus Elise on my way to get lunch today; very unusual for Southern New Hampshire.
  12. *sigh* I wish A-body wagons existed up in my neck of the woods. I'd love the Oldsmobile version for myself. Congratulations to you; you're coming down the hill fast now!
  13. At least SOMEBODY is able to stick with their projects; mine have come to a screeching halt for the forseeable future. (the Eldorado doesn't get any more shop time until my father's boat is done and in the water and the '40 Packard panel delivery is damn near done). I, too, am quite envious. I love that wagon and also the big crewcab Chevy. I wish like hell I could find something like that.
  14. Saw a beautiful '59 Bel-Air two-door hardtop on the way to work this morning; probably the coolest thing I've seen in my travels in a while.
  15. Get quality aftermarket parts; if you have a NAPA in the neighborhood you should be good.
  16. Fixed. And to answer your question: I think he's staying, unfortunately.

    Opinions?

Umm, hello?! Free is free, dude! Worse comes to worse, you drag it home, it turns out to be a complete turdwagon, you dump it on craigslist for $200.
  18. I know we all have those "if I won the lottery" ideas, but, mark my words, I WILL own my own junkyard if I win the lottery. Everything will be neatly arranged and nothing will be stacked.
  19. Plenty of junkyards around here, but they're all filled with Hondas and Acuras and Toyotas. Scrap goes up like 30 cents a ton and all the yards around here are like OMG CRUSH ANYTHING WITH STEEL BUMPERS NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!!!! On the rare occasion they still get something old, regardless of condition or completeness, they want at least double what top dollar is because THESE GO FOR ALL KINDSA MONEY ON EBAY, Y'KNOW, even though the guy telling you so dropped out of junior high school before personal computers were even invented. There's exactly one cool junkyard in my area that still has old iron and know that it's not worth its weight in gold. I wish I had more time to go through that place before some sue-happy eco-weenie eventually cuts his vagina on an old rusty fender and the place gets crushed out for condos.
  20. Well, having lived on the East Coast for my entire life, I'd like to drive Route 1 in its entirety as it goes all the way from the Canadian border at Fort Kent, Maine to Key West, Florida. It's on my list of things to do before I die.
  21. If I had the spare cash I'd buy it in half a second. I'm even in New Jersey this week for work so shipping would be a non-issue. Hopefully everybody else is as strapped as I am so I can pick it up in the future!
  22. Could be worse; I remember seeing a beautiful 1968 GTO Judge 4x4 once that turned my stomach.
  23. This reminds me of an ancient blue hair around here that has a brand new XLR-V. She's gotta be in her 80's and it takes her about five minutes to get in or out of it. I can just imagine this little old lady going to the local Cadillac dealer and asking for a new Coupe DeVille or Eldorado and being told by a salesman "I'm sorry, ma'am, but this is the only two-door Cadillac currently makes." Of course she signs on the dotted line since she's probably been driving two-door Cadillacs since Eisenhower was president, but I highly doubt she knows what she has or what it's capable of. ..... or maybe she does!
  24. Any indian head penny with a readable date is worth at least two bucks. Not that it matters because I keep all my coins in a box and hang onto them. Let my grandkids sell 'em.
  25. Today's good news: I found an 1864 Indian head penny in a roll at work today. It's my oldest penny by far and my second oldest coin overall (I'm a closet coin collector of sorts), so that was cool and unexpected.
