  1. PCS...your avatar is mesmerizing...thanks!
  2. somebody needs to tell me what purpose this thing could possibly serve...durability testing of the wheels maybe? The intakes are smaller than the Camaro's would be, so it cannot be for intake or cooling tests. Suspension testing? Drivetrain? Most of the parts are off the shelf anywho...so what is the purpose of this car other than making front page new on the forums and making Chris and Brenda money - which is a good thing...but still!
  3. Tundra's BLOCKS ARE CRACKING? I have only heard of the camshafts...is this true? And as far I am concerned, a Prius' accellerating is unintentional!
  4. Pretty hard actually. IROC's are near impossible to find in non-beaten condition. As of the past two months, I have a strong desire to pick up a third gen. I am between an 89 Iroc Convertible and a '92 Z28...either one would be a great car. Or my Holy Grail of third gens: Black 1986 V8 Berlinetta with T-tops and Digital Dash. If I was to stumble into one of them it would be home in seconds. I would be divorced and homeless, but it would be MINE!
  5. I bet that is wonderful for that Toyota Gas Mileage as well...I just give them the Tundra Salute...I Laugh at them and point - with my middle finger!
  6. Unfortunately I see 3-5 a day around here...mostly due to the fact the Toyota Motor Credit office is a mile from my house. Ugly buggers. I cannot say I have seen any of them HAULING anything larger than the plastic bags from Wal-Mart.
  7. Super Troopers...I googled it.
  8. Tokyo Owns Your Old Town A$$holes! This will be the bumper sticker I will print up and put on my car...'cause it is true. and the Tundra is selling here, but not at a great clip. The lots look like they are storing firewood for winter - all stacked up.
  9. Nope! In fact I am a little put off!!! Way to dash a guys hopes!
  10. I just saw one of the ads on a web page I was looking at and I had to view it three times! It was shot from a moving a car and it showed a horse taking a dump...I swear. WHAT THE F^CK is that??? And why are they discussing my ego in the ad as I watch a horse defecate...and what does it all mean? STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! AND I like the DUH! ads they play - but to follow it up with this crap...ugh.
  11. One of these would foot the bill for my needs entirely. I hope they make a Volt wagon style car or even an HHR style car with this system so it is usable for more than commuting. I see one major flaw in the design of the Volt - one that will reap serious problems to all the dealers: What does a chevrolet dealer do with all the Prius' they will get on trade?
  12. I have never agreed that the Edsel was ugly...I always thought it was different and out there. At the Goodguy's event in Des Moines in July there was an Edsel wagon that was stunning. Really a great looking car. On the same front: I thought the original B9 Tribecca was better looking and more innovative then the refreshed version is.
  13. where did you find a Grand Vitara in a Riviera Hard Top?
  14. The Ford Pinto? The Gremlin? The Pacer? ANY car built from 74-82 The Toyota T-100's The Izsuzu anything (Impulse, I-mark, et al) Renault Le Car Renault Alliance Subaru Justy Mazda GLC Geo Storm Toyota Echo - (IF you run one over, do you get to enjoy the crunch noise twice?) I mean to say there are a ton of cars that I think are justified to being on the list...and I do not think the Explorer or the Model T should be among them.
  15. I have driven a top model Camry and was really shaking my head at the noises, the finish quality and the general lack of refinement in the car for what the guy paid for it (Near $32k!!!). The sunroof cables were rattling in the tracks and the rear split seat thunked under braking and start up ( at least I think that was what was making the clunk noise when I hit the brakes - it was not something loose in the trunk, but rather something that moved that was part of the rear seat. ) But the dash DOES look cool when lit up. I did like that. I just was expecting more due to all the 'excitement' the car garners in the marketplace. It did not live up to my expectations or the hype. It is not a bad car, and it does look good in Black.
  16. Don't spill the kool-aid sciguy - it is not a rant about 'every model' as you put it - only the Tundra...take another sip and relax.
  17. :rotflmao: Instantly added to my favorites...classic. How she kept a straight face...
  18. For Peter Gabriel Fans - the following editions are available: The SLUDGEHAMMER! (The name says it all!) SO! ( as in so what I only get a 4-star crash rating ) IN YOUR EYES Edition...cause you cannot help but notice this ugly beast on the road BIG TIME Edition: We are going to incentivise this thing BIG TIME! Each of it's owner's can whistle these tunes while they refuel this wonder every other day.
  19. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-1-2L-R...1QQcmdZViewItem ummm...ultra rare 1.2L CTS? This dealer should immediately loose it's franchise for an oversight like this!
  20. I am in the 'Why would you do this?' category. Seriously. I have to ask why you would spend the money to develop this and then help your competion by selling it to them. I am confused.
  21. Future - I am crying with your entries - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND HILLARIOUS! You Win!
  22. Good luck with the health issues. I wish you a speedy recovery. GM NEEDS to pull the technology out of there NOW. Look at what Toyota has done in F1 and you will see that they are not above 'buying' competitors technology through buying teams, drivers, and support staff. Many a red flag has been flown in protest into what Toyota has done in the F1 circuit, and I guarantee that is the game plan with Nascar. GM should spend the money now to DEFEAT JGR in the chase for the cup with the teams that they have signed for next year. Show JGR that they made a bad descision to leave and make them pay for it. As a fan, it is our duty to protest the fact that Toyota has bought into the fray by NOT supporting the sponsors. That means no Home Depot, No UPS, No Fed Ex, No Interstate Batteries. Do not support the sponsors that support a Non-American team. Don't buy the Tony Stewart merchandise to replace the old stuff - just keep your hands in your pockets and hurt them where it counts - financially. Toyota will not be able to foot the entire bill. Lastly, as for Nascar in general - the car of tomorrow may be safer but it is making the series a spec series and not the 'run what you brung' factory efforts of it's roots. Personally, I think the COT sucks and making everyone equal is not the answer - innovation that brought us the Daytona Superbird, fast back Monte, and Talledega Torino is - and you just killed it. You lost my viewership. I am done.
  23. Oh, the big steer horns would really set off the ugly face of the tundra! Maybe they could mount the horns up high on the roof of the truck like a visor? That way they would not interfere with the engine swap that will be needed when the cams snap or they sludge up! And the Camry DERBY edition I would want to see has a whole other meaning!
  24. We have all seen the Tundras, and now the FJ, sitting on the lots - even as rebates begin to hit the "IT'S FREE!!!" status. I have come up with a few possible special editions that may help Toyota move some of the inventory and get the sales back on track. Just a few of my early ideas, and I would love to hear yours! For the FJ Cruiser: The San Andreas Fault Edition - You never know where it will crack next! To help hide the unsightly cracks, I suggest a stripe kit that has the look of ripped asphalt at the belt line. The Zebra/safari edition: Again - those stripes will really keep the unsightly cracks out of the public eye. The Tundra: The Honey Bee Edition: There have to be some of the honeycomb wheel covers left from the days of the B210...a bright yellow paint scheme will look great with the piano black trim! Nostalgic buyers from the 70's will be all over these. The Tom Cruise "Cocktail" edition. Simple. Paint them with the 80's neon colors of the movie logo and bolt a martini shaker in the bed - have customers drive over semi-smooth pavement to really shake things up! Beach Boys Kokomo Sountrack optional. Excellent for tailgate parties! The CAM-RE Edition: The name says it all - it will be re-cammed in the first year, plus the name works well on ugly cars, why not on the truck? The TURD edition: Toyota Urban Racing Division - because getting to Wal-mart first means less time waiting in line at the gas pumps thanks to my sub-par fuel economy! Any others I missed???
