  1. Isn't there a slightly used plant not doing anything in Spring Hill that is available?
  2. You know what? That is kinda attractive!
  3. As we type this the 'evil douche' is already on a plane to make this a photo op with the cops and glad handing all envolved. The Clinton Machine will use this and the media will eat this story alive as long as there is a photo op of Hillary on it. This will not go away, Chris, if she can make hay with it. I hate them all. Anyone who will spend MILLIONS of dollars to get a job that pays $300,000 plus benefits is crooked as all hell. We ought to make public service mandatory by law for EVERYONE to serve at least 4 years...then NOBODY would want the job and the people who do the job will have some sence of the real world/reality. It will be like Jury Duty - one day tucked between your credit card statement and the latest issue of Hemmings Motor News will be a summons that says " you must report for Senate Duty for the next two years..." And once you leave office, all benefits stop and you go back to the real world again. How fun would that be?
  4. Got me there! Still, you could have at least pulled a "Messin with Sasquatch" on him and drove ahead each time he reached for the door handle!
  5. Using what I see on TV about women's opinions of me, if they named it the G-spot , men would never find the cars in the showroom or in the parking lot.
  6. That just happened to a buddy of mine - TOTALED his 1990 Olds Regency that was PRISTINE - guy that hit him full tilt (in the rear while stopped) was driving a new Civic Si and was trying to figure out how the iPod thingy worked. I guess he will never figure it out in that car.
  7. makfu - you waited until the perscribed break in period written in the manual was reached BEFORE you took her to 120 MPH, right? And - did the new CTS's looks get you out of the ticket? Sweet review of a sweet car!
  8. PCS - you are the lowest form of excrement known to man. How can you be so callous and uncaring to your fellow man? I mean you have the nerve to post here and you should be so embarrassed of your actions that you should not even show up here any more. YOU OWE EVERYONE ON C & G AN APPOLOGY! Leaving that Toyota driver on the side of the road was just wrong! HOW COULD YOU NOT STOP AND GET THE INSIDE SCOOP AS TO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TURDRA? YOU SHOULD BE HERE WITH PHOTOS AND INSIGHT AS TO WHAT PART FAILED ON THE TURD! YOU SHOULD HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED THE IDIOT AND HIS P.O.S. FROM EVERY ANGLE! THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE DRIVEN OFF AND LEFT HIM! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! :AH-HA_wink: As for letting people in, I usually only 'guard' my space on the road if I see an idiot who is going to cut into my safety zone. Has anyone else noticed that Toyota drivers, or import drivers, seem to be without regard to basic driving rules as of late?
  9. Of course prior ownership and care is going to play a huge factor in the reliability of ANY car. Others that I have thought of that could be fun to own: A good condition WRX Subie. Honda Civic Si. VW GTI VW Corrado G60 BMW 318Ti (or any old BMW 3-er) Mercedes Kompressor Hatchback (Funky safe!) Pontiac Aztek in the pea green metalic - Nobody would steel it
  10. A Miata would be fun...watch the top as they said before...also make sure the car was not flogged to near death and needing a clutch NOW or some other mega repair upon purchase. That goes for every used car so no big deal. Boy, to go from Miata to something else...not a lot of options. How do you feel about f-body's since you like RWD? They can be picked up cheap with a V6 and are actually pretty damned good in the snow ( I have owned three ) Drivetrains are dead honest and reliable, and I can say they would fare better in a wreck than a Miata. T-tops are a throwback to another decade, and are kinda fun. You can pluck a decent V6 or V8 1990 - 2002 anywhere from 1500 - 4500 for a non abused unit. Hell I still find really nice 1986's for next to nothing and they are like new! Your Cutlass is also a great car with a little bit of work. Probably not the fuel miser you are wanting though.
  11. Or maybe Toyota realized that 34,000 flaming Lexi would be bad for their image in the world???
  12. I guess he thinks it inhales deeply... My favorite line: "The one area where the xD excels is parking. With its size, it's easy to move into the smallest spots. Plus, when you're parking, you know the driving experience is nearly over and you've arrived at your destination. " Classic.
  13. B.M.W. - which means GM...as they are sharing the Hybrid Two mode systems that will be in the GMT-900s and the BMW Hybrids...it only makes sence that the fuel cell and hydrogen systems that BMW have been working on for close to 15 years now would be crossing back accross the pond...but this is an assumption.
  14. Asian cars sometimes appeal to me, but I grow weary of thier designs really quickly - there is no passion in the design or any true originality for that matter. Those that are original are either so quirky they look like a clown car or are the size of a thimble. Both of those factors wipe them off the shopping list for a 6 foot tall 255 pound guy. I will absolutely NEVER consider a Toyota. Period. Ever. Japanese cars are exciting to me for about 3 seconds. Domestics - I own and maintain several, and much to the chagrin of the Japanese car makers, I have NEVER WALKED HOME FROM ANYWHERE BECAUSE MY CAR DID NOT WORK. I love pretty much every car GM has ever pumped out...that was RWD. Even the Chevette! Europeans: I have owned BMW's and still find the designs fresh and exciting. I have stopped buying BMW's because they stopped catering to the driver and have installed every nanny that could ever be electronically wired into a car. Then they disconnected the steering and ruined that aspect as well, so I walked. Mercedes is nice, but I just cannot put my finger on what I don't like about them. VW - have had a few and my wife still pines for a New Beetle. They were basic transport with benefits. Tight euro feel and great safety aspects. I hate FWD cars. With a passion. Probably the reason I skipped every car made from like 1985 (except Camaro and Corvette) up until...well Now. Been stuck in trucks pretty much from that point on...this is when I was driving BMW's and Camaros (odd mix?)
  15. Leave ET out of this... I seriously thought the exact same thing!!! Um, is that a GOOD THING?
  16. Well if the guy only had a base 4 cyl 'bu to drive against the Impala, I can see why he chose the way he did. I was at the local Chevy lot this Sunday and they have 4 on the lot - two LTz's an LT and a LS...There were people driving in in Japanese cars STARING at the 'bu and drooling all over the LTZ model - they looked pissed that it was not out sooner. Even heard a couple say "only $27k?!" They were in a newer Subaru...
  17. One word: YUMMY! Enjoy it, as it is beautiful. Keep us posted.
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FL-SUPER-LO...1QQcmdZViewItem Missing a piece of door trim but is looking really nice otherwise. I am not an FWD kind of guy, so I pass...
  19. I don't know; people love to buy what they cannot have in certain instances...i.e. Enclave. GM has NOT increased production to keep demand high on it and it is working. Keep the 'bu's pace as is and make sure the quality holds as promised. I have yet to see one on the road here...too many damned Toyotas.Anyone hear any conquest sales numbers at all? Love to hear what is coming in on the new 'bu.
  20. redemption for Dodgefan...'if you can cope with a whole new image, you could be Dodge material!" What a great tag line! And one of my favorite Mopars of all time.
  21. Gee...ya think? Hell, the dealer here in CR made so many enemies with the GTOs he had (WITH A $3000 MARKET ADJUSTMENT PRICE) that I can BET he will do it all over again with an even hotter car. I liked the GTO, but his marketing and dealership made me turn my back to it ( the other dealers are an hour away if I needed serviced ) I love the G8 and may buy one if they are as hot as they look. A GT wagon in that cool blue will look great with my wife and kids in it!
  22. Won't work for Tundra Owners...the tailgates will FAIL trying to load it in the back!!! I want one with a Hyabusa engine in it! Screamer!
  23. A Mini Moke or a Subaru 60. An original CVCC Honda, or even smaller, a Honda 600. http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.com/blog/c...ory/subaru-360/
  24. I will take anything from Spartanburg...the aformentioned 507 would look great in my garage! A Zet Vier would be fine as well...you can even chooce the color! Have a save journey and enjoy the ride!
  25. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv0vYc1x6po FREE LANDAU ROOF!!! FREE! IT'S Vinyl! Cool car though. And yes, we can bring up the 8-6-4, Cimmaron, Shared bodies between all brands at GM...yes the list is long at GM...but this was too cool not to share!
