ANAL BLEACHING
I've been waiting to use this one, and after laughing so hard I feel it's time to use it:

Project SHADOW
Speaking of rust, here's some photos (finally). For some reason the driver's doors rotted out, whereas the passenger ones have no rust. Go figure. Interior needs a good cleaning Luckily we have a spare fender. I never bothered to put it on, cuz it's blue, it never effected the way the car drove, and it was like a badge of honor, a victory over an Olds 98, which it totaled. pwnt But this car is going to become Frankincar before it's repainted. So soon it'll have a pretty blue fender.

Please define it how it could be more solid than the Prizm which has zero rust on it anywhere. Yes, this includes under the car. Anyway, that may be that Mercedes, but you said yourself that the engine in the one you've got now will die at some point, what with that lovely lifter noise that makes it sound like the diesel Mercedes you used to have. Don't worry, I'm not comparing which car is better, so no need to go on the war pad.

The Official MPG Thread
That was beautiful More important than puffy Cheetos? Srsly? I dunno about that. Anyway, we've hijacked the thread enough. I averaged 28.3 with the Intrepid.

Or here's a thought: not everyone has to abide by someone else's definition of what makes a desriable car. What a f@#king concept.

I think the engine may very well outlast the body, and the engine in your Mercedes.

Project SHADOW
Pssh, I've already had it on the highway. However you bring up a good point. One of the main point of this project is to gaine xperience doing things I wouldn't do with the other 2 cars because 1: they're fine for the most part 2: they are far, far more complex (the Intrepid anyway). It's a much more basic car, which works well with working on an oldr car I will have someday, since they are more basic too.

Craigslist is great. That's where we got our Mercury from.

Is a 1.4L Turbo the right answer?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: The car is a convienet scapegoat. What we really need to crack down on are factories that have little to no emmissions control, many of which are decades old, innefficient, and dump tons of C)2 and other gasses into the atmosphere daily. I'm all for cars being more efficient, but it's only part the equation.

Kia Koup Concept
I would think a hardtop would weight between the pillared coupe and the vert. I think there should be a choice of all 3. The pillared one for hardcore people who want extra rigidity and weight saving, and the hardtop for those who aren't hardcore racers, but want something dead sexy and that still handles very well.

Diamonds In The Rough
Ah the Lancer, a very rare care from that era. I love the way these things looks, especially the Shelbys. I've seen exactly one, a gray one on the road ever. I submit the Shadow 2.2 Turbo and the Spirit R/T

pwnt If anything resources of this global warming thing should be devoted towards things like rain forest conservation. I don't know the numbers but I know rain forests create a big junk of the world's oxygen. Cut them down and you loose that, combined with increased CO2 (which plants need and we can't breathe) and you've got a bit of a problem there.

Project SHADOW
Still haven't got the photos yet. Anyway, the car was finally registered today, which means I was able to take it on it's first real road test. Brakes are rusty as expected, but they've already been getting better. Engine temp went a bit past halfway...I can't remember where the needle used to be, but once it reached that spot it didn't flinch at all, and I drove it around with my brother, teaching him how to drive it, for an hour with no issues. I'm thrilled that we actually did the job right.

Whats Your Favorite Fast Food Drive Thru?
I'll tell you what: a black angus burger with 3 kinds of cheese (like cheddar, provolone, and monetary jack), with thick peppercorn bacon, ketchup, maybe a little mayo, and bbq sauce. F that lettuce and tomato BS. Real men eat meat and cheese (with tomato product sauces).

Would you rather it not have the fender flares so the fat tires stuck out of the body like one of those Mexican customs?

The Official MPG Thread
I've driven newer cars, although not the LX cars or the G8 yet, however among the cars I have driven these still ride and handle extremely nice. They were also of the era when Chrysler made an effort with their interior designs, which, save save for the extra chrome and metallic surfaces on newer interiors, looks perfectly modern.

Chrysler to cut 1,000 salaried jobs
I keep forgetting about the Jeeps, shame on me The GC is a favorite of mine when it comes to SUVs. My boss drives a last gen one, it's very comfy and she loves it, she's also got a Z3. I love the original Cherokee, you could beat the living hell out of them, plus they had the look of the classic SUV. Someday I want to pick up a used one for offroading and winters.
