  1. Is there a supercar the Fiero can't replicate? I mean, the profile kinda sucks because it looks stubby...he should have stretched the wheelbase to match the real car, but nevertheless it is amazing work.
  2. Source: Autoblog Gallery
  3. Yes, I especially love the GTs...I saw a neglected yellow one besides a Mustang II this weekend...very sad.
  4. If GM were to keep Hummer they need to realize it will now and most likely forever be a low volume, niche brand. Since the brand is very focused and has a clear purpose, it's easy to make it work if it can stay focused and not be expected to be a volume brand. It also doesn't have to be about massive offroaders either...only urbanites who slapped 26" wheels on them bought the H2's anyway, or at least a large chunk of teh slaes were to them. Make them smaller, and more feul efficient, and throw some diesels in. Small and more nimble is better for off-roading anyway. The problem is whether or not GM has the forsight to think of this, or if the brand can survive this economic downturn.
  5. I still see them everywhere as well, particularly the Alero. The Auroras are rare, but always a treat to see. I'd still like to have one.
  6. The last thing they need is the Wave, as NorthStar pointed out, the Aveo sells less than the Fit, with incentives and high gas prices...it's just too mediocre. The last thing we need is another rebadge of a half-assed product.
  7. It can't be that hard to make an optional hardtop. If you've got a car that is designed as both a coupe and a convertible, then you take the convertible's beefed-up structure, and replace it with the coupe's fixed roof instead of teh heavier folding roof. It'll way more than the pillared coupe but less than the convertible. And to those who think the convertibles aren't up to snuff: The C70 received Good marks for front, back, and side impact, and this is with the roof down. It isn't a question of can they do it, it's a question of whether or not it mkes business sense to spend the extra money to do it, and will more than a few thousand diehard enthusiasts actually, realistically, car at this point?
  8. All this talk of the G8 VS 5 Series VS TL... Here's the thing: The G8 should be looked at as 5-series sized and performance for a lot less money The TL is luxurious like the 5-Series but lacks the performance character, which is more important to some people than others. I just still don't like the way it looks.
  9. I still need to see The Dark Night
  10. California can go EFF themselves and not get the diesel goodness.
  11. Sounds like we're heading for another depression.
  12. The Canadian markets eems to be doing better than the US market. I believe Chrysler posted another sales gain in Canada.
  13. Do let me know when it gets 36 mpg at 75 then. Also, as I recall it's gearning not cylinder count that determines what a car's RPM is at a given speed.
  14. Well FWIW the GM hasn't had a tune-up yet, and I think the front tires are out of balance, so it's certainly possible to squeeze a few more mpgs out. Either way, for a V8, that's very impressive...it's V6 territory.
  15. I don't think I've ever seen that one, but I'd love to.
  16. That's funny because most reviews have put it as not a clear step over the last one.
  17. They can do better than 26.6 mpg?
  18. Those Panthers really get impressive highway feul economy..need to calculate what it gets in the city next.
  19. I think the Cruze as is is shaping up to be a class-leading small car. If they cheap out on it I will go by Ford's next Focus, or the Mazda3, or if Dodge makes a good small car by then than maybe that, if I'm in the market for s small car.
  20. 2 Things. The liberal slander is annoying, because while I am a registered democrat, you can bet your ass that I feel the guy should have had 50 caliber sniper bullet hit him. I think there needs to be some kind of security at greyhound terminals. They have no security at all. Had they at least had a metal detector this would never have happened.
  21. Damn, I lost the Silvia picture I originally posted.
  22. Fine As for the Shadow, the guy is thinking of doing a 360 or 440 conversion. Apparently the 360 has been "done to death", so he's thinking about doing the 440. The Dodge dealers used to actually sell conversion kits for the Daytona so you could stuff a 360 pretty easily in there (relatively speaking). The Shadow shares many structural components so I guess it can be and has been done. The thread goes on later to mention that someone at turbo-dodge.com made a RWD P-Body!
  23. I hate that commercial, and it seems that they aren't done milking it yet.
  24. Agreed with XP, it may sound mean but so is stabbing a guy 50 times, cutting his head off, and then eating him.
  25. That picture is so bad I didn't even realize there was a car in it at first.
