  1. my dad told me about a buddy he was working with back in the 80's once. the guy had a cherry 66 nova and had a custom paint job on the car. a two tone deal that had a checkered flag design that started small and got wider towards the back dividing the colors. the guy had spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 grand on it. he goes to the store and parks out in BFE. comes out and there is a rusty beater beside him. sure enough there is a dent in the door and the paint is chipped where the flag meets the upper color. dad said the guy calmly walked to his trunk, took out a ball peen hammer and busted every window out on the beater. got in the nova and left.
  2. someone may have had their yard treated with pesticide. there is a chemical that you add to it that temporarily turns the yard blue to show if you missed a spot.
  3. must... buy... skittles...
  4. the way it used to be here in anderson was the chevy dealership and the caddy dealership were next door. down the road about 2 miles there was a pontiac buick gmc isuzu (whoa). the dealership with the chevys and caddys also owned a nissan hyundai dealership. well the BPG dealership moves closer to the interstate. there was a land deal struck for where the Chevy caddy hyundia dealership was so they sell leaving only the nissan dealership. the owner of the bpg store decides its time to get out of the business so they sell and now we got a Chevy, Caddy, Pontiac, Buick, GMC dealership under one roof. with the hyundais next door to that. and the store really makes perfect sense... its like a costco or sam's for cars hehehe
  5. with all the anti GM chrysler stuff i see and hear, i am afraid that once they got 11 people will lampoon them with "what a waste of money that was" and then they will subtract 4 to arrive at 7.

  9. hehe easy now, he was probably one of the last saving graces of nascar. he told it like it was and did what he needed to to when the time came. he even predicted the car of tomorrow. dont get me wrong, i am not defending the sport by any means. Bill france was the beginning of the end of the grass roots, Brian france finished it off.
  10. meh slow down!
  11. about 5 yrs before things went poof is my guess.

security escorts people out of the hospital whenever someone is let go involuntarily. not that anyone at the hospital has done anything. they also like to break the news towards the end of the shift so they dont stew on it all day.
  15. well april fools aside, think about it. if the new administration did pull that card and denounce GM and Dodge's involvement in racing, the concord NC area would soon look like the ghost towns around the vacant gm factories. its not just a sport for a great deal of people in "hot" areas, its a real living.
  16. seems as though we have...

  21. im not saying he is particularly infatuated with it as so much someone in washington could be. i heard a story once. put water on the stove and bring it to a boil. if you take a frog and drop him in, he jumps right out quick... but say you put the frog in the pot with the water and slowly turn the heat up. well, you'll have frog stew my friend because the way the frog works is that slow gradual change in the temp doesnt register as immediate change. in the end the frog cooks. start out small where things dont matter as much and do a good job and the complacency begins, before you know it, its too late. think about it. GM's the frog right now, the stove was on low in 1973.
  22. i know a show for escapism thats animated. try super jail on adultswim.com R E D I C U L O U S
  23. because thats where the money comes from silly, if they go under we'll have to barter and trade again see my lowly bank has high standards and didnt give in by handing out loans to every tom dick and harry that wanted one. high risk? no loan. The Palmetto Bank may not ring a bell to some but its been around since 1906 and made it through the great depression, and doesnt need the governments help this time around either.
  24. dude i loved that batman. it was really dark for the age it was aimed at in the day. some of my fav eps you should see shin wars, the spoof on star wars its great.
