My '01 Silverado won't even start if the gas cap is off. It also won't start on the first try after the battery has been pulled. GM has tons of saftey systems in this department apparently.

Maybe he is pointing out the horrible looking shifter and how it looks like it should be further down on the stick?!

Right but was lifted from a Saturn Sky.
-
Other than the Saturn Sky wheel and the CGI "human" what is wrong with the picture???

Solid pieces of crap... own one... they are truly mechanics cars just like BMW. I have a '73 Super Bettle and ironically it has the same types of problems as the '03 Jetta we owned. I went and drove a Passat and it gave me the same feeling as a boat... the only two days I would be happy with it are the day I bought it and the day I sold it! PS. The Passat competes more directly with the TL than the TSX. The Jetta is priced in the TSX price ranges and is even close in size. In fact when my wife and I told the salesman at the VW dealership we were cross shopping Acura's he'd dog the TSX when we drove the Jetta and dog the TL when we drove the Passat. Personally, I would take the TL quickly over the Passat. The time saved from not going to the dealership alone would make it so much more attractive.

speed of sound is also equal to 774.2186666666668 mph at 74F

1 x speed of sound = mach 1 speed of sound = 1133.9676290463692 ft/sec @ 74 degress F

Harryness... that sounds nasty...

Furthermore, why hasn't Barack Obama been metioned for '08? Barack's Official Site A Democratic friend of mind seems to think he will be a great leader for the "new" Democrats and a great presidential candidate.

Proposition 2 in the state of Texas passed and it is with no great surprise. Marriage has been saved here for those who chose to practice it. (Read: Men and women) I hope I speak for the majority of level-headed conservatives in this country, I really don't care what you do so long as it doesn't prevent me from not caring. Too many of the folks across this country want to grind an axe. Many conservatives like myself don't. There are radicals on all sides of issues but, for some reason it has become popular to pick-on, berate, and even humiliate anyone who stands up as a conservative. Any gay person who chooses to say that they "lost" something in this election is missing the point. Marriage has ALWAYS been about a man and a woman, without the gay "movement" none of these elections would be held. Go live your life, just don't tell me about it and quit having homosexual days, parades, and magazines. Just as you don't want specifically heterosexual days, parades, and magazines... there are bigger social divisions/issues in this country to worry about than trying to create another!

To go one step further, this vehicles holds all of the styling elements (or lack of) that Lutz uses endlessly. The vehicles itself isn't bad but, if it were produced Lutz would have seen to it that all detail was removed before production:
-
I thought I was the only one who thought of Lutz's creations as un-original and bland. After all, his idea of vehicles seem to lack detail. The form is there but, what about brightwork, moldings, or heck... even the occasional body crease!!! I don't like Lutz's idea on design because it just seems half baked... (cleaner than previous designs though they may be...)

I'll be frank... Honda is much smarter than you think. The Honda Ridgeline can be built right beside the Pilot, Accord, TSX, TL, etc... flex manfucturing allows this and no one will be laid off as a result of change in product mix. BTW... this is one process the UAW has fought in the past...
-
Can I have a show of hands for people who have driven a Nissan Frontier Crew Cab short bed and the Honda Ridgeline? Realistically the horsepower numbers and fuel mileage match. Towing capacity is about the same and the interior in the Ridgeline is much much MUCH better. Seriously, the Ridgeline is a nitch product and it does as much as the S2000 does for Honda. It is there to sell some more vehicles to Honda owners and does a decent job of it. I would trade my Reg Cab Silv. V8 for a Ridgeline if it weren't so damned expensive. If you ask me... that is it's only fault. Otherwise, it is perfect for the occasional around the house and outdoor use.

and only one engine option... good or bad??!

To all those that were worried: Appears that GMT-900 is capable and has a power liftgate. Now where is the person that said they wouldn't have them???

Except is has square/trapazoidal headlights a la Commander.

Volvo and DCX paid illegal kickbacks to Saddam
SingleStylish replied to Dragon's topic in The Lounge
And what's the problem here? We muddy the waters for two American companies over a) 7k; B ) totally unrelated company??? Ford doesn't even belong in this scandal. DCX doesn't even seem like they did something wrong. -
Believe it or not I own a '01 Silverado with 20k miles out of the 80k used for towing. Probably about another 30k has been used for hauling various stuff in the bed. Trust me I have used all of the trucks I've owned. My truck sits much like this SUV does however, Ford seems to be just fine with a level suspension. I've seen several recent and older model F150/250 with full loads and no sag and they don't sit hiked up in the rear at dead stop... There are other ways to skin this cat. I think GM takes an easy engineering way out without working on leveling the suspension out and providing for sag. After all, look no further than a Z71 from the factory... level... doesn't sag with a load... why can't they do it??? Oh, I forgot the most important part of your reflex comment... I must not use my truck and that's why I bought one... And obviously since this is a unitized body SUV loosely based on a car, I expect TONS to be pulled by it! I overlooked that part in my comment
-
Ahh... so the leftover space from the XUV in Oklahoma will be used for this??? PS Why are GM SUV's and truck 2" higher in the rear... always?!!
-
So old in fact that I was the 14th highest poster... wow... I like the conversations better back then...!
-
Am I the only one getting more of an Infiniti vibe than Nissan out of this one? The taper towards the rear is remeniscent of the G35 and the four tailights are found on both G35 coupe and sedan. It has a LOT of Saab concept greenhouse in it... I think. Don't like the new Mitsubishi style frowning grill but, the car is overall descent. If it weren't a performance car it would be ugly.

I understand what you are saying, I am white too and my first job was min. wage. My comment was directed at the person saying that "Minimum wage is racist." I agree... it's not!
-
Because obviously the only people that take min. wage jobs live in hoods or ghettos and are either black, asian, or hispanic. GET REAL! That's stereotyping if I ever have heard it... Furthermore, I find it more detestable that this country chooses to dictate minimum wage rather than giving incentives to move further up or be entrepreneurial. Let's face it... America wasn't built or made successful on the back of min. wage. In my experience, those who are older than high school or college age generally make significantly more that 5.15/hour. In my area (which is one of the lowest costs of living in the country) fast food joints hire to start at 7-9/hour. So, with education and hard work you can obviously make much more than that. When did someone in high school (have to have a car?) have to have 15/hour to survive? If I am not mistaken, driving is optional as there is bus transit and going out with friends during school shouldn't cost that much. Living with parents now requires rent??? Where does all of this entitlement talk come from?
