  1. So after crowning the new Silvy as TOTY and saying that about the Tundra, MT has redeemed intself and is a great magazine now?
  2. Nice thinking. I hope Lutz pushes people and makes them realize average is no longer good enough. Once they get the idea instilled in them and ingrained into the corporate culture GM will no longer have some of the problems it did/does.
  3. How do you explain Osama's 50 brothers and sisters? Muslims can have up to 4 wives, I believe. There is not a lot of immigration/visitation to the Middle East (for obvious reasons, I guess), at least not on the scale of most other parts of the world. Homosexuality/bisexuality is not tolerated at all, either. I know I'll get bashed for saying this but I have little sympathy for people with HIV/AIDS/STDS.
  4. I am quite surprised by the overall attitude on this thread. Even FOG has his tail slightly between his legs! I will say that I do understand some of the issues that have been brought up but, overall, I love this car. I'm with Ven, I would have NEVER purchased the current-gen CTS based on its interior alone but the new CTS is something else. While it did lose some of its design edge (and I am a little bummed about it) I believe it looks more luxurious and less boyracer. Instead of being just brash, it's now brash and handsome, masculine but sensitive. It's kind of like a really masculine guy that does some homoerotic modeling (think Channing Tatum). It still has an edge, however, and you will not mistake this car for anything but a Cadillac CTS. I do agree that the stock photos do not do this car justice (even though I have yet to see it in person). The one side profile amateur photo with the car in silver completely changed my opinion on the side design. I truely believe this is more than just a pretty face. This is a damn good car and the best modern car (at the least) to come out of a GM factory. My only issues with the exterior are the G6-like rear doors (the thought of that idea makes me want to throw up) and how it seems rear end design inspiration came from 90's Cadillacs like the one photo that was posted of the Eldorado (I believe). The interior is downright amazing. The beige is beautiful and luxurious, modern but old world-ly. I'd refer to it as the Kensington Palace of the segment. NOS, your company did a great job. I love the pop-up NAV idea as it allows the design to flow and look cohesive. Most automotive interiors look better with a NAV system and if an interior can look great without one it is a big accomplishment. My only question: what is the black plastic below the center HVAC vents and above the seat heater/cooler controls? Is that a display screen? It interrupts the design, IMO. Overall, fantastic job, GM!
  5. DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS. FEATURES, FEATURES, FEATURES. Now this, my friends, is a Cadillac.
  6. The body kit is horrible. You don't tack something so nasty and overdone on a luxury division performance sedan. I hope it's either optional or just done for the NAIAS/this photoshoot. Lack of a manual transmission is a major mistake. It should at least be optional.
  7. Just about everything looks great. My only problem is with the rear lights. WTF is that black grating there for? I know they cool the engine but why couldn't Toyota put them in a different location?
  8. Is that suede or suede-like material on the dashboard and doors?
  9. I kind of agree with FlyBrian and Croc: on one hand the current Accord coupe is nice because it doesn't pretend to be a sports car like this concept may appear to be doing. However, if it has the performance to back up the looks this point is moot, IMO. Obviously it's not going to be a Ferrari but you guys catch my drift. This is also one Honda I'm not embarrassed to say looks good. After the dreadful CR-V I was afraid what Honda would come up with next. I will be really looking forward to seeing the production version, though with Honda its concepts are thinly disguised production cars.
  10. I like everything, including the interior styling, except for the rear door or 3/4 area. The kink/bulge styling element just does not work on the smaller Avenger versus the Charger. The interior is a pleasant surprise, IMO. DCX's midsize offerings are just average, though, which is a shame.
  11. I thought it was a funny comment.
  12. A pleasant surprise. I am not a huge fan of the front end or the sides, which look like the first-gen Prius, but the rear end is nice. The interior is plastic-y but it is an economy car and looks good in the photos, moden and stylish. Even the base version looks pretty good. I think the coupe could attract customers who are drawn to Japanese economy cars but I like the Cobalt coupe more, which looks more substantial. Ford did well with limited resources. I just hope the chassis and suspension are more Euro Focus-like.
  13. The interior looks good there, IMO, but the lower grades need some work...too many dead buttons/switches, looks cheap. I'm still afraid that silver-painted plastic is going to get destroyed easily and on a WT (or any car, for that matter) that is a big no-no. The CrewMax should be available with a longer bed or the short bed should be a bit longer. Other than that, the lengths match perfectly with the new GMT900s. I think the CrewMax doesn't look as hideous as the largest Ram model. Powertain options seem solid, especially the 5.7, though the gap between the 4.7 and 5.7 could/should be filled. A diesel should be available from the launch but Toyota should know enough to launch one soon, within the next two-three years. Pricing needs to be agressive, especially since there are features which are offered standard on the Tundra and not on the competition. The launch needs to be flawless as well.
  14. The current 500 is better looking, IMO. The improved interior (though high-gloss wood/plood is nasty in any car), more power and better NVH (is that the correct acronym?) ultimately make a better car, though.
  15. The color is nasty (it's really played out on the hybrid scene) but, overally, I kinda like the new Tribute.
  16. I think I changed my mind. I like most of the details on this car and it's a huge step forward for Jaguar. Some of it still looks thrown together and unrefined but I can't wait to see the production version.
  17. Nice job GM. The trucks cannot get any better but I hope you can do better than the Aura on the car side of the equation.
  18. Nyquil works for me but Dayquil is another story. I took it once and will never take it again. Edit: spelling.
  19. Made my day, Bob!
  20. Thanks, man. I didn't mean laugh as in you'd rather look at a dog's ass. I meant laugh at my posing. I like the long hair, too, especially after my hair cut.
  21. fire
  22. Finally some new ones for me. This was taken at a Christmas party a week or so back. My hair is pretty long and I just got it cut too short for my liking. My quasi-Spice Girls pose. Crazy... My real Spice Girls pose. I don't know if I ever posted this one or not... Go ahead and laugh.
  23. shooting
  24. I have seen many more 5-doors than sedans. The last-gen Aveo looked better as a 5-door, too. This time around the sedan may be the better looking of the two.
