  1. Never has, never will.
  2. It doesn't have the "I'm melting...!!!" look that the current-gen has.
  3. It looks good and the attention to detail looks amazing. I also understand the small criticisms that some have said. I'd like to add that it seems too busy. I just hope GM doesn't get bogged down like it did after the last CTS launch and put out just average Caddys. The momentum has to continue.
  4. You can definately see the Outlander in this. I know it still has tons of camo but it looks like DCX just added a Dodge grille and called it a day.
  5. I like the current design better so this is a downgrade, IMO. I think the current one has a more menacing appearance, more attitude.
  6. I see we got a country fan on our hands!
  7. BINGO. We have a winner. Republicans took a loose anti-immigrant stance in the recent elections but immigration reform, for the most part, does not have overtly political undertones. The vast majority of Americans are against illegal immigration and higher immigration quotas. We are tired of seeing these people receive free healthcare and education while we are stuck footing the bill. We are disgusted seeing them rally in cities demanding "rights." We are tired of hearing them say America is a nation of immigrants when in reality America is a nation of hardworking, legal immigrants who paid their dues and integrated into society, learned the language and respected the culture. The issue is spread across political, religious and racial lines. One only needs to look to Europe to see what a mass inflow of immigrants (legal or illegal) can do to a society. It ain't pretty. When nationalist parties are regaining footholds in European society and political circles, you know there is a problem. Edit: Just so a few people know, for every study and "professional" opinion that supports illegal aliens I can surely guide you to studies and opinions that will shed some light on the other side.
  8. It doesn't look nearly as aggressive as the spy photos made it out to be. The detailing looks good, better than the Aura, and the overall design is conservative and classy. The downfall is that it looks slightly Korean, IMO, especially the rear door and C pillar, which reminds me of the Hyundai XG (?).
  9. I see some Camry, tC and new non-U.S.-market Corolla in the front end. It looks pretty good and I love how GM took a page out of the Mazda playbook with the wheel arch/hood design. Is GM "stealing" the designs of others? Obviously, it looks better than the current Malibu but that's not saying much. GM needs to hit a homerun with this car, just like it has done with the Lambdas and GMT900s. The Aura was not a homerun, IMO, and GM has another chance with the new Malibu.
  10. Yes...Toyota/Lexus are the only ones with technology and computers in their cars to take away from the "driving experience."
  11. Jag is showing a concept or production version?
  12. Purple "muscle" cars appeal to me, oddly. I thought the purple GM offered for the GTO was the hottest color for the car.
  13. Happy (belated) birthday!
  14. That's what I was thinking, too. I didn't picture him to be so young. I guess his rambling (and really no offense to you, BM) makes him appear to be old and senile, living in the automobile equivalent of the "good ole days." I can see Razor's point, though.
  15. It's not like you purposely allowed your exhaust to fly off. It would be a totally different story if you actually threw something out of the window, whether or not you intended to cause an accident. I don't see a problem and you did go back to help the kid.
  16. How nice and interesting.
  17. I'm not competely sold on the blue. I think I have to see it in person. However, it does lend an air of sophistication and luxury normally reserved for brands that are way above Saturn in the marketplace. To me, it shows GM is finally beginning to understand customer perception and what it means to a manufacturing company. Thank God the entire interior is not blue (or red) like some models of the 80's and early 90's. Talk about nasty...
  18. I just saw a hint of Durango in the front end. Yuck... When GM makes truely competitive cars and trucks the sales, profits, and good reviews will come. I still stand by my assertion, however, that the new trucks and crossovers are looking better than the new sedans, almost to the point that it seems two different companies have designed them.
  19. I didn't have a problem with the mid-level model my family had for a rental. It suited the car, IMO, and was above average. My dad was looking at the Magnum when it first came out and decided against it. His 2-year Altima lease is up sometime in mid-2007 so I am kind of hoping the incentives on the Magnum will be the same as they are now.
  20. Not bad at all. Did GM upgrade the interior? It looks like there are better materials and subtle design changes. Even though I am far from an SS purist, the "Sport" badge is much better in this application.
  21. Hot hot hot. Damn, I love the Charger.
  22. Local fire/ambulance/police deparments had a system installed in their vehicles and on traffic lights that allows them to change all directions to red except the direction the emergency vehicle is heading. I've seen it in action and it works well. This idea I'm cool to. I just want to drive and I don't need a vibrating seat to let me know I'm drifting into another lane.
  23. I've had my xB since May, 2004.
  24. Talk about a thick C pillar.
