  1. I could care less about LEDs on whatever non-luxury car is out there. I am not doubting they are an image builder but they are not important. Having side airbags standard is important, LEDs are not. I am not trying to twist it against GM, I am trying to make a point. Why make a big deal about a Camry not having LEDs when, other than Cadillac, no current GM vehicle offers them? The same with the Avalon. The only Camry competitor that has them is the Accord. The Fusion does not have them. The Sonata does not have them. The Azera does have them but it does not compete with the Camry. Do you believe the average Avalon buyer is going to care if a Hyundai has them? LEDs or not, the Avalon is a much better vehicle than the Assera and you know it. If having LEDs solely makes a manufacturer a "leader" than should not Ford, and Lincoln for that matter, still be leaders?
  2. Fly, Honda uses a different hybrid system than Toyota and Ford use. It is not a "full" hybrid, meaning it cannot run on battery power alone under a certain MPH. The battery just helps with acceleration and adds power without dropping fuel economy.
  3. GM and Ford should do an expose (french, not english term) on the oil companies. It would make for great TV.
  4. I think Southern accents are hot. Sorry if the "hot" comment is irritating to some of you. I do not like Ebonics. At all.
  5. $50,000 the next-gen Malibu does not have LEDs or load leveling.
  6. They are very attractive work vans. The amount of room in the back, especially with the high-roof version, it amazing.
  7. Lucerne what? After the IS, this is my second favorite new Lexus design. The interior looks great and so does the exterior. I think the new design will not attract the bluehairs as much as the current one does.
  8. Alright. Edit: Other than Caddys, what GMs have LEDs?
  9. Razor burn sucks big time. I switched from a normal razor to a good electric one but I still get it on my neck. I am looking into laser hair removal. No, I will never want facial hair. FAFSA gave me a few thousand dollars, including a bonus for turning in all the forms/information early. It still isn't much though, considering my tuition is about $23,000 a year.
  10. Funniest. Sentence. Ever. Seriously, it is rediculous. When Congress was doing hearings on gas prices and the media was harping, gas prices went down. No one has been getting on the backs of oil companies for a while so prices have casually crept back up. After this earnings report, I think we will see some more outrage. Anyone want to buy a new GMT900?
  11. The Milan has them (Montego does, too, but it's a large car) but Hyundai's website says nothing about LCDs and I cannot tell from the pictures.
  12. I agree, the mouse fur headliners have got to go. They reek of cost cutting and cheapness. If anything touches the roof it leaves a noticeable mark, even your finger. All cars should have gas struts for the trunk, too. Ven, if I am correct, the Accord is the only midsize car with LCD taillights. Sure they look cool but does it really matter? Do normal people know what they are? Probably not but it would improve the value and feel of the new Camry. Also, the rear seatbacks on the SE cannot fold down due to bracing so it is not just the hybrid.
  13. So how does that help GM? You would be getting rid of one and growing another.
  14. FOG, it seems you had a little too much Kool-Aid. I wonder, you harass the ES for being a Camry just for sharing a platform, so what do you think about the DTS/Lucerene and the LaCrosse/Impala?
  15. GM better deliver a Malibu that is so hot it has flames coming out of its tailpipe. Nice one, Ted. How long did it take to pull that off? Ohhh...the gearshift is missing, too!
  16. My favorite is still the coupe, preferably GXP grade. I am with BV, the proportions are fairly raw, especially from the rear 3/4 view and side profile. It looks too front-heavy. Oh well, there is always the next-gen.
  17. A Model-by-model breakdown has been posted on here a few times. The Impy was close to 65%, I believe, and the Malibu was close to 45-50%. The Impala is the gold standard for government cars. Edit: Along with the Taurus.
  18. Capacity cuts could not come any quicker.
  19. The rearend is too L-Series-like.
  20. For me, it all depends on the next-gen CTS. If it gets somewhat smaller to actually compete with the 3-Series, C-Class and IS then Cadillac has no reason to bring the BLS over. However, if the CTS is still going to keep its in between 3 & 5 Series size, bring the BLS over.
  21. The front looks amazing. From head on, it is much more engaging than the Lucerene. So, why are all these people getting excited about the new ES? Maybe because they are Toyota enthusiasts, just like you guys are GM enthusiasts. Remember how all of us got excited about the Lucerene? The Lucerene is the same as this, a FWD luxury cruiser. Yes, it is built on the Camry platform. Your point? If that is the only "bad" thing you can say about it...
  22. I believe they are all on the same platform (current Camry). The Highlander will be enlarged on the new Camry's platform and will compete with the Lambdas, hence why the Rav4 was enlarged this year. The Highlander will be the large crossover while the Rav4 will be the midsize. Eventually, everything on the current Camry platform will be remodeled onto the new Camry platform.
  23. HAHA. Yes, I meant the Sorento.
  24. Happy 20th Birthday!
  25. I've seen more RLs than Crossfires. More Crossfires than the redesigned Ranger. The Monterey comes into vision more than the X-Type Estate, Axiom, Insight, Raider and Mazda5 combined. Relays and S80s are just about even. I see more Suzukis than all the other cars mentioned combined.
