Reading elsewhere online, they so far have been mixed.... I can see why they might be doing it: The G8 and UTE share the same interior. This puts it in line with GMC/Buick/Pontiac dealership thing. Chevrolet just had the SSR. You know how well that went over. GMC did not get the Avalanche. Pontiac did that Grand Am El Camino in the early 1980's.. GMC Also this: and this: And... this UTE is going to be low volume anyway. Chevrolet is mass market.

You are so wicked.... It is funny...... Why would you do him like that.. It was not me that "exposed" the secret. Someone else did.....
-
When are you going to pass me the junior mints ?? I have been waiting since the scene in the last thread about the big movie that is playing itself out...
-
Nope. This thread is not about me. It is about Flybrian's post contribution. Congrats to him.
-
I hate to break this it to you. but I was reading online elsewhere: http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/news/chevr...no/saywhat.html That if and when the Holden UTE comes here, it won't be a Chevrolet.. I am sorry.. The divisions that "may be" in the running for it are: GMC and Pontiac. There is something about Chevrolet having too many vehicles already. Bob Lutz wrote someone an email about it. Sorry.. If you believe it or not, that is your choice.

Cute NOS.. Your Aveo SS almost became a reality too. Most of my posts were articles if anything. I did not post just to post. I do not post like I once did, it will be even less in the future. My recent time here HAS NOT been a pleasant experience. This thread about Flybrian and his posts. I am sure the members will enjoy the things he has for the site. Congrats to you and your post sir. May you have many more.

Yes.. burned completely beyond recognition. -
My service guy left and moved to Hawaii. When I used to go to the dealership Marshall Sabatino was so good to me. When he moved to Hawaii and then that it when it went down hill. He was a young service guy too. They would not let him drive customers cars though. They even told the lady working the front desk they did not want her talking to people too long.

I am very sorry for what I read... I offer my condolences. This is a very tough time for you, but just know this one thing, you still carry your father in your heart. He is still looking down on his family. The peace you wish to gain will come with time. The grief you experience will be here and now. Do what you need to do to deal with your loss. Again.. I am very sorry...

Quite the thread... I really feel you on your experiences guys. It was sad, yet tragic to read. I really understand where you are coming from guys. It sad, and you cannot let them upset you. It comes down to customer service and treatment. The dealership makes most of their money in the service area. The salesman did not have to lie to you. I have a story. When I had my first Ninety Eight, I went to David Taylor all the time. When I bought my second one, I went to David Taylor all the time. That is when I started to notice things. They were good to me in the customer service area from rides to work in the Devilles and DTS, and picking me up from work and bringing me back to the dealership. They even had this courtesy thing they invited customers to to check their vehicles out and offer free food. I went to all of that stuff. I knew something was up when they held my car hostage one time. You need this and that, and you cannot pass state inspection without this. Then the next to the last time I went there I said don't you know who I am? He said no. He leaned back and looked at my car, and said Oh yeah... I later figured out why he knew me by my car. They over charge and they do things to your vehicle you do not need. They also were doing things to cars too so you would have to bring it in for repairs. They wanted me to trade my car in on a new Buick or Pontiac or Cadillac. They had just stopped selling Oldsmobiles. They then were going to turn around and sell my car at a profit on the used car lot. They want to get me to believe something was wrong with my car. I found me a solid mechanic, and I am happy so far. My car runs better than it did before. He is the one who will be fixing the Toronado. I understand your experience. The sad thing is... GM has the bad dealers who make it harder from them to turn the ship around.

This is sad. It was on the news here. He died in my neighborhood. It was right at the train tracks. It is the same direction as my post office. I used to walk there before I got my cars. I was trying to figure out what he was doing in my neighborhood any way. Maybe it is because I live downtown. I do not know... They interviewed his attorney. He had a drinking problem. It goes back to the when he was 10 years old. He played at Seton Hall, and had potential. He was let go by the Rockets for violating the NBA substance abuse policy. He went to Minnesota, and could not let go of his demons. They released him in March. He has been a big downward spiral. The drinking and the money was just too much for someone so young. That fire was horrific too. You could not recognize him or his vehicle. They had to identify him by dental records. I know the vehicle was a Nissan Armada or a Infiniti Q56. -
FLY HELP... MIGHT BE GETTING AN OLDS AURORA! UPDATE!
NINETY EIGHT REGENCY replied to gm4life's topic in Heritage Marques
I got my coworker to buy a Aurora with a Shortstar. So far, good.. She drove it across the country too. No problems. She was about to buy a Lincoln and something else when I talked to her and she has had it for a year now. She thanks me for introducing her to the car. I rode in the car. It has the same features as my Ninety Eight. The only thing it did not have was the trunk pull down and digital gauges. It had everything else. I do not know why I thought about the Eighty Eight LSS, but I did with this car. Nice interior and fit and finish. -
I thought about it, and it seems this is true. LaCrosse is filling the space left by Regal, Century and LeSabre. Lucerne is filling the space left by LeSabre and Park Avenue. Two cars for the price of 4.
-
That is why I bought the cheaper version called "Toronado" by Oldsmobile.

Thank you for the photos.. What is with the Impala wheels? This car is starting to become Buick's Impala. I think it is neat to see the Allure name on the truck. Hopefully next time the name can be the same in Canada and the US. I noticed the gas mileage figures are lower too. Nice photos.
-
Hmm.... I noticed the old LaCrosse parked next to the new one.. You can see the difference. Then it hit me.. They are preparing the next LaCrosse and that grille is a hint of things to come. GM always does that.. Before they redesign, the current model picks up cues for the future. The Riviera concept plus this new grille hints at better things. I do not hate this car. It does what it is supposed to do, but you long for a "Regal". Thank you for the photos. Great shots...

2008 Cadillac STS 3.6l DI - Black Cherry
NINETY EIGHT REGENCY replied to Flybrian's topic in Cadillac
This car looks better than the first one. The grilles helps, the interior is the same, but addresses some issues. I think it is an improvement. For those that say we should get the SLS, I watched a car show yesterday I learned BMW does the same thing as Cadillac. They sell a stretched wheelbase BMW 5 Series in China. but they do not sell it anywhere else. As I was watching Top Gear writing this, I noticed the Germans over engineer, and the Japanese sell quality and not style. Where does that put Cadillac? I just wish the STS sold more.. -
Thank you for the photos Ted.. I must say that is an impressive car. I like the back of the car. There is something very Eldorado or historical Cadillac about it. Nice photos.

Happy birthday sir..

I watch it. I saw them all. I wished they had something like that when I was growing up. Maybe it would not have happened to me. I personally like seeing them getting caught for two reasons: 1. Because all too often some in society assume that it is gay people doing that, and it is not. It is these people you least expect or that are under the radar. You can see some of these people have low self esteem too. 2. It is healing for me to see them get busted. They did not have anything like that when I was growing up. If they had, the babysitters son would have been busted for what he did to me. To me it is just wrong.. That is fine if you want to mess with an 18 year old, but come on, respect the youth!
