  1. It's too bad that the CTS-V wont be in the euro market to compete with the BMW M's, Mecedes AMG's or Audi RS'. The V series will be a world beater for sure, but Cadillac is late in the game anyways and the others have already moved on. While Cadillac is just joining into the super fast club, what about the next trendy segment called the "four door coupe". Mercedes CLS is hot, Audi A7 is coming out in a few years as well as Porche's Panamera. BMW's CS concept car is supposed to be coming out as an 8 series as well. I love Cadillac and have owned a few before but I wish they were more in step with the other premium brands. By the time Cadillac even designs a concept for that segment I'm afraid there will be a new trend already out.
  2. brutal comments from that link! i personally think that it looks real good. im sure it will look better in person. when the bangle butt came out, i dont think it initially was a hit either.
  3. 1. I've had two in the past.... 1995 Seville, 2004 DTS 2. Who knows for sure! looking forward to the new dts/sts replacement. If im not knocked out of my socks, im gonna stick with a newer Audi down the road. perhaps an A8 next time.
  4. amtrak is awesome! i usually take the wolverine express from chicago union station to royal oak, mi to visit my family. very nice especially when you have both seats to yourself. i bring a pillow, my portable dvd player since you can plug your electronic equipment next to you and your good to go! and its cheaper than driving these days too. i pay around 80 bucks round trip.
  5. great link! thanks. did i get that right??? a DT7 AND a SuperSedan! so is there actually a replacement for both model dts and sts? i thought there was just going to be one replacing both. if so.... WOW. im getting goose bumps, cant wait to see those sexy beasts.
  6. the brx is going to be gorgeous. pity that the srx is on its way out. if only it got that kind of attention to details i bet there still would have been hope for that suv.
  7. beautiful. hows cadillac gonna one-up this one?!
  8. WOW. the instrument cluster seems fantastic and the drivers seat looks great. seems very lexus like on the outside too.
  9. gorgeous. i wonder though how tight its gonna be sitting in the back seat. if just in case your in a pinch and need to bring two other people around. i cant imagine it being comfortable back there.
  10. the only thing i care about in chryslers lineup is the jeep grand cherokee and the jeep commander. they may share the same platform but are as different as night and day, two very different styles inside and out. i love em both.
  11. interior looks great. doesnt look like a carryover from the other crossovers, its definitely more malibu related.
  12. "Consumer Reports: CTS tops BMW, Mercedes rivals; Malibu 'excellent'" The 2008 Cadillac CTS finished third in Consumer Reports ranking of upscale sports sedans announced today with the release of the magazine's March issue. The CTS received a rating of "excellent" to vault past the BMW 328i and the redesigned Mercedes-Benz C300, which were rated "very good." The Infiniti G35 and Acura TL still outscored the CTS to lead the class of 12 sports sedans that Consumer Reports rated at its auto test center in East Haddam, Conn. "The Cadillac CTS now competes toe-to-toe with some of the best German and Japanese sport sedans," said David Champion, senior director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports. "There are more safety features and interior amenities in the new model. Fit and finish is greatly improved and the interior is much more pleasant than in the previous generation." Separately, Consumer Reports tested two trim lines of the new Chevrolet Malibu, the four-cylinder LT trim line and the V6-powered LTZ, and now ranks the sedan among the best in its class, just below the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Consumer Reports granted the LTZ an "excellent" score, ranking it the fourth best of the family sedans between $25,000 and $30,000. The Malibu LT achieved a score of "very good" overall. Auto analyst Erich Merkle from IRN Inc. said it's a step in the right direction for the automaker. "It's good that they're coming up in the quality scores," Merkle said. "If you can be competitive, and then have a design that is inspiring - have a car people want to be seen in - and you deliver on the quality, it becomes about how do you deal with the customer after they put their money down. . This is a good it's a step in the right direction." link to article: http://freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID...NESS01/80204066
  13. wow! i love the intricate detail of that tiled street. oh, whats that about the jeep again?
  14. for it's super price the interior is kinda disappointing to me. its just like the other vettes at HALF the price.
  15. sorry guys.... just realized this was already mentioned in another cadillac forum. http://www.leftlanenews.com/trademarks-rev...ing-scheme.html Trademarks reveal possible new Cadillac naming scheme December13 If you liked alphabet soup as a kid, make an appointment at your Cadillac dealer for three to five years from now. That's because GM has recently trademarked several new nameplates for Cadillac, and so far we're worried and a bit confused. At present, these names are trademarked in Europe and Canada. However, companies often register their trademarks in foreign markets first, and later in the United States. This potential new naming system is undoubtedly complicated, but we will try and lay it out in the simplest way possible. So far, GM has trademarked: DT7 CT6 CT5 BT3 AT1 DTX CTX BTX We suspect the numbers in each name signifies each vehicle's overall size. The "DT7" might be the eventual DTS replacement, for example. This large, luxury sedan may end up riding on the Zeta chassis in a few years time. The CT6 and CT5 would be some kind of variants of the car we currently know as the CTS. One possibility is the numbers indicate two possible wheelbase lengths. On the other hand, we can't rule out the "5" and "6" being the current CTS sedan and forthcoming CTS coupe. The BT3 could represent the next-generation BLS. This vehicle would probably be on the Epsilon II chassis, however, with GM's plans on the new Alpha chassis being unclear, there is always a possibility BT3 could be an Alpha car. The AT1 is still a bit of a mystery. That said, it's a safe bet that this would be a small car that is definitely based on the Alpha chassis GM is currently developing. Could it be a competitor to the BMW 1-Series? The "X" cars will more than likely denote crossover or wagon vehicles. However we'd also leave open the option that the "X" indicates all-wheel-drive models. If the crossover assumption is true, the DTX is probably the vehicle currently known as the BRX. The CTX could be the forthcoming CTS wagon, and the BTX remains a mystery. Of course, the all-wheel-drive option is also a strong possibility. The CTX could be an AWD CT6 or CT5, while the DTX would be an AWD DT7, and so on. Obviously there is one glaring part of Cadillac's lineup not mentioned here — the Escalades. Some might suggest that the "X" vehicles we just talked about are in fact the trucks. However, given what our sources say, we don't think that's the case. That leaves a few options. One being that GM just hasn't gotten around to coming up with new names. Another being that the true Cadillac trucks will not be part of this new scheme and continue on with regular names. With the marketing power the Escalade name carries, we think the latter is more likely.
  16. http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?A.../712130336/1364 oh happy day!
  17. oh man, it's deja vu on those gauge clusters yet again. seems the name "lincoln" did just become an upper trim level for ford these days as one magazine had mentioned. the exterior does look nice though.
  18. wow... i see that my last post in here was on october14th and you know what... that was still the only time ive seen an encalve! incredible how popular this crossover must be. i wonder in what city is selling the most of these.
  19. The Vista Cruiser Vapor??! ohh how i miss my merry oldsmobile.
  20. the chocolate interior on the escalade looks hot. way better than in the dts platinum edition, but it could be because of bad photography from what i've seen and not in person. headlights are amazing, talk about moving to the next lane when this is behind you!
  21. i am a gm fanatic, but i do drive a jeep grand cherokee myself. im just glad the jgc will be around! shame about the commander though if they do decide to discontinue it. i think its a great looking suv. dimensions are pratically the same inside, but whats wrong with having two very diferrent styles inside and out? me thinks its no different than choosing between an acadia or enclave.
  22. yuck... looks like a mini hearse from that angle.
  23. Yeah, how long has this been out now cause I just FINALLY saw one on the streets of Chicago yesterday. Stunning in silver and it definitely has presence. damn I want one!
