  1. Conventional enough and un-conventional enough. It is one of my least favorite vehicles on the market but it is just funky enough to appeal to its demographic and just normal enough to be a really practical small affordable car. Owners seem to love them... I think when it comes out it will blend in with 5:00 traffic just like everything else they build...
  2. Just don't forget to park it in the sun for awhile when your done...!
  3. A really nice review of the ATS-V... A good 4 way match up...interesting review... For Olds Hurst, if he reads this far....a nice review by the same gentleman of the Challenger! Last video for now, and my favorite of all of his reviews....perhaps 4 of my favorite affordable cars on the planet right now.
  4. Astonishingly overwhelmingly amazingly impressed with the Ecoboost Mustang, Ford just has it going on with this. Review of the Miata...why Mazda only offered three colors, all of which a 1941 Plymouth would find too dowdy to wear...is beyond me... Another link on the gorgeous Ecoboost.... Don't tell anyone here, but I could be talked into an Accord V6 manual. The Mustang is multiple orders of magnitude better looking though, and the interior is the Mustang is FAR more comfortable IMHO.
  5. Stew, I thought of you with this one... His BRZ review; Yes, a series Blue and it is white... I thought of Dfelt with this one... FRS review...unlike the Subaru, this is BLUE... His thoughts on the GTI; Review of the Ecoboost Mustang;
  6. Hmmm.....I may have to try one out... This is a very good review of this car-I like this guy, he is very reality based and fair in his reviews. he also has a lot of other good videos.
  7. Thanks...I will post up some pics when Brian and I get the guitar complete and we get the work shop cleaned up... One thing for sure though, I am not getting a car in my garage any time soon!
  8. I hate car payments with a passion-most of my adult life I had company vehicles of one sort or another, and I usually bought inexpensive used cars and drove them until they dropped. Ironically, the most expensive car I ever bought was the Jetta TDI....and I got everything I paid for it back from VW after 56,000 plus miles....so it worked out really well.
  9. Odd, am not in the LGBTQ community and I could really see myself driving the XT5-but then again, I've owned a Miata, TDI Jetta and Cooper S as my last three cars-so maybe some people just like driving smaller cars. For me, it is living in a big city where I want to park with ease. I also think the Xt5 looks really athletic-I really like athletic looking vehicles, that was my biggest complaint about the Conti, i did not find the sheet metal very athletic at all. My point was only (before I made a mistake and we got off track) that I could really, really really see this car appealing to professional women. Especially urban professional women...
  10. This is singularly the worst photograph ever taken of me or my work shop, period... This is a little bit better pic, this is a neck for a guitar we are building...
  11. OK, black women then, sorry!
  12. I want one at some point, but it will be 5-6 years before Tesla is financially stable, if ever, and the demand dies down...
  13. That and towing ability...a fullsize SUV will tow anything reasonable you throw at it... Friend wants me to go look at a very clean 2004 Suburban that is supposedly in really great shape with low miles for four grand. Methinks I would rather have a pick up truck...but I have always liked the suburban.
  14. Are you secretly a mime...? It makes a very large amount of sense explained that way.
  15. Having built control panels and done control work in power plants, certainly possible but highly unlikely.
  16. I have a love hate relationship with Ford that is not rational in any way, and compounded by all sorts of crazy things. There is nothing rational I have against Ford motor company. In terms of Ecoboost, i think the problem with the fuel economy tends to come when people drive it with their foot in the throttle...every single owner I have talked with has been nothing but positive. In terms of the 5.0 V8, if you look at my Facebook page you will see a really bad pic of me next to my Powermatic 87 band saw. Band saw with the blade welder weighs in at about 1400 pounds...we pulled that band saw and a trailer/truck load of HEAVY tools from Kingsport Tennessee to Columbus Ohio. With my friend Rich and his 5.0 F150, we didn't know anything was even back there. That 5.0 Combo is awesome...it has converted a bunch of my co workers who were GM or bust guys. People more rabid than many of the partisans here... As far as oil changes go, yes with Turbo or supercharged motors. I noticed it in the TDI while I still owned it and in my Supercharged MINI Cooper S. Also notice it in other Turbo vehicles... In terms of people not changing their oil, that is pretty much any brand....but especially bad with Toyota and Honda owners for some reason.
  17. I can kind of see it as a women's car, which is not a bad thing-a lot of African American professional women drive Lincoln products. The general has to fight back somehow!
  18. I could see that, it might be a nice choice...but ti will get smoked at my local autocross by the Focus St, GTI, Fiesta St, BRZ/FRS/86, Miata, Fiat 124 Spyder, and every other hot car out there. Since I want to run my next car hard, not really thinking an SI is on my short list.
  19. The whole thing si going to devolve into a crap show....
  20. That thing looks so good in white...and if your ever in Columbus Ohio I will buy the first round!
  21. My neighbors had an F150 that had that beat by that 425,000 miles we were talking about....i wanted to watch it hit a million, but they moved to another state. As much as it pains me to admit that certain members and former members might be right about anything....the Ford F-150 is one heck of an amazing product. I would still prefer GMC please...preferably a dually with a diesel...
  22. Ouch! You have my deepest sympathy!
