The truck wars are starting to be more interesting than the Muscle car wars of the late 1960's. Quite frankly, I am stunned with what I see. And if the new Super Duty is any guide, Ford will drop a thermonuclear bomb on the specialty truck segment when they introduce the Bronco.

Visually it does have the proportions of a Smart car or Fiat 500....I find myself alternately loving and hating these small eggs on wheels.

Range is critical....but the electric car is coming regardless of weather we want to see it or not. Luxury is a state of mind indeed! -
Actually I know a couple of people that ahve done similar and enjoyed it.

What have we done? 2016 Malibu 1LT 1.5t
A Horse With No Name replied to regfootball's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Agreed! The Four kills this as a proposition for me. Mazda makes the nicest affordable crossovers I think. Highly jealous your mileage is so low. We are at 47-48K on our 2015 TDI, planning a cross country road trip for the spring, should put another 5K on it.... -

O and Cmicassa....went out to dinner with my wife....waiter had a Cadillac tattoo similar to yours on his forearm. Young guy, HUGE GM and Cadillac fan.... I know it wasn't you but....your Ohio twin did a damned good job of keeping my glass full....! And yes, the Tesla is really only about as nice as the Impala. Actually, the Impala is nicer than the Tesla in many ways. Plus, Musk has the misfortune of not only a recent divorce but he will loose pollution credits with the new administration, which is the only thing keeping him afloat financially. GM is in an excellent position to build electric luxury cars, be they Hybrid or full electric, and turn one hell of a profit. Those ATP's you were telling Wings about are for real...and unlike the Asians Cadillac has some unique designs at the top of their lineup....and unlike the European luxury cars Cadillac hold up after they are out of warranty. Was reading on one of my other Forums about someone who bought a Porsche and had ten grand plus in differed maintenance when they bought it....you most likely would not have that with a Vette or a Cadillac.... -

That thought is so strong on the automotive porn meter I may have trouble today...thinking about that....what a distraction from work! Probably a bad thing as I may be working with a torch and doing some brazing....if I burn my damned fingers I am blaming you for the distraction, Sir! Competition is good, if nothing else Cadillac really bringing it will keep Benz on their toes and making even better S class cars. SMK is right about some of the attributes of Benz cars, but he looses all credibility for his blind partisanship. -

The problem is that Tesla will loose their income from selling pollution credits when the administration changes. Cadillac is much better positioned. The Cadillac is also drop dead gorgeous. -
Give them hell Balthazar! Feeling guilty because I am making my daughter finish cleaning out her cat's litter box before she finishes her homework.

They are prohibited by the terms of the settlement from doing this. Which is why 20,000 of the 3.0 litre vehicles will need to be destroyed. No way to bring them up to specifications. With the older 2.0 vehicles they can resell them if they repair them to spec and provide a 4 year emissions warranty. How many hundred thousand mile plus five year old cars are they going to repair and warranty? I would bet seventy percent of the buy backs are crushed with the 2.0 motors.

Assuming Tesla survives not being able to sell pollution credits. More like Cadillac taking over Tesla's market share. -

If I were to pick one alternate it would be a 49 or 50 Mercury in the place of the Mercer...or maybe the Mustang. -
Wonder how the upcoming weekend will change the college football ratings?

VW will be scraping a ton of cars, as not only 20,000 of the 3.0 here, but also a high percentage of the 450,000 2.0 TDI vehicles will hit the crusher.
