  1. Actually Chevy gets some things right that BMW doesn't.
  2. It is a car built to a low price point in a small market. Hybrid does not make sense for this.
  3. A whole different era than when you put a 396 in to a Caprice as a regular production option....
  4. That would make sense. I think they use the term hard top to differentiate between the convertible and the coupe version of the same car. The vintage race guys call them tin tops. I have a friend who races a vintage 510 Datsun, and the roadster boys all give her crap for driving a "tin top."
  5. I have a lot of BMW Fanbois around me because of the SCCA thing. This sentiment is shared among even some of the BMW faithful. I agree with you and SMK. Lets hope like crazy they dethrone it.
  6. It picks up all of the visual cues I like from the 66-74 cars, while being modern. Agreed with the idea of an all black cop car.
  7. Given our love of the SUV, this makes can infinite amount of sense.
  8. It certainly is orders of magnitude better than the Prius.
  9. Massage works well also.
  10. I like sleeping to an extent, I get eight hours a night. I do zen style meditation to clear the mind, do not watch much if any television, exercise, eat mostly vegetables and lean meat and avoid most sodas and packaged foods. Driving a convertible also does wonders for the mind.
  11. I don't know about kill them. I think they are in the process of reinventing themselves a little bit. I still want a Z3 M roadster., though.
  12. Passat is one of my fav. cars, just because it is such a roomy well thought out highway cruiser. Nice review, Reg.
  13. Europe is also a very different market in places because they have excellent public transit and old cities with really tight access. Were I to live in Italy in a city with streets dating to 1412, I would drive a car the size of a Fiat 500. Were I to live in Wyoming, a Suburban would work fine, although a pickup would do better. Living in a city like Columbus, Ohio or Pittsburgh, PA a GTI or an Encore is about right. YMMV
  14. Jetta with the GLI package can be really fun. Leaf is actually fun to drive because you have full torque from stop. Tahoe is fantastic to run a bunch of friends to a hockey game and out to dinner or the like. It's not exactly what I would choose for a track day toy, but as a tow vehicle it would be unbeatable, methinks. Plenty of room in the back for tools or camping gear. Or tow a boat with the damn thing. Not every car needs to entertain you every minute of the drive. Acura ILX is essentially an upscale Civic SI. For someone who wasn't a car nut, I could see it being a viable choice. So no, I do not agree with the list.
