Two other cars I love, the original GTI and the 240Z also made the list...as well as the Healy 3000, a car AI also love...and hmmm....Challenger...and the Original Riviera... Chris

  3. Damn, I wish I'd seen this. Crap, crap, crap. Would ahve loved to ahve done this. Chris
  4. One would theink that the Jeep would be worth more than $4500 in the open market. Chris
  5. Also. saw a good looking mid 80's 944 today, red. Talked to the onwer...seemed to be a good guy. Chris
  6. I would love to cut up an 80's Camaro and make it into a race car. Chris
  7. I wear tires quicker than average also. Something about a few hundred runs sliding them around parking lots in Autocross seems to diminish my tread life horribly. Can't quite figure out why. Chris
  8. I had Pirelli's on my first Miata and hated them. Now run BFgoodrich G force TA's...they did quite well in Sunday's autocross. If I only hadn't lost out to the white MINI and the White Scion in the last round.... But I did manage to run 6 runs out of 7 better than the 2 Preludes with mods. Both of them were pushing a hundred ++ more HP than I was and running on R coumpound rubber. I never would ahve gotten that with Pirelli's. Chris
  9. Hell,be glad it's just a mouse. Parked a car once at a friends for a couple months or so. Picked it up. Herd a rattle from under the dash. Not that kind of rattle... Rattlesnakes had gotten in and done some libidenous bidness. I had Mom, dad, and LOTS of babies. Up inside the dash, in all of the AC vents, HVAC ducting, etc. I usually do a lot of my own work, but that car went to the dealer to get fixed. The mechanic that fixed it was NOT happy. Get a cat. Put him in the car overnight. That should cure things. Chris
  10. Glad to see that you are doing this GMTG. I am thinking seriously of going cash only for my future car buys. Methinks its the only way I'm ever going to get what I want. Chris
  11. Actually I prefer the 55 Pontiac by a strong margin. That being said...WOW...what a car!!! Thanks TED. Chris
  12. That is a good deal. Chris
  13. True. I remember reading about how a factory Tri Power Pontiac (Catalina IIRC) went to the crusher whole a few years ago in Cali. Also, someone turned in a fully restored award winning 41 Chevrolet Pickup truck, stock restored, that also went to the crusher. Read about that one too...I think someone's relative died and they just sold it to the Clunker program and they crushed it. Chris
  14. Dude, you have NO IDEA. Before this program, at Ace Iron and Scrap, where I scrap Copper wire, LOTS of Caddy's buicks and Olds, many of them easy fixes, were dropped into the crusher whole. I'm talking some nice looking vehicles, cars that look as nice as your Impala or even better. Like Ted said, the wasting of cars is against my religion. Chris
  15. I am just so sad the Targa is going away... That being said, I've seen a bunch of third gen Camaro's of all varieties, ranging from Race cars to an 82 Indy Pace Cars to Iroc convertible to....god only knows. After not seeing them around in seemingly forever all of a sudden it's 1988 again around here. Enjoying it. Chris
  16. Hopefully things work out well for you...a friend in Georgia, a new truck in the driveway, and a new boyfriend to keep you warm at night. You would be a happy guy! Chris
  17. And the Color on that one is just perfect, GMCTG74. Plus the interior looks great. Chris
  18. I say go for it. One of my friends is a math teacher (now retired) who always drove Park Avenues. HE never failed to get at least 250,000 miles out of one of them. He did have to replace a supercharger on an Ultra and that wasn't cheap. If you get that and I get a MINI Cooper S or a Cobalt SS/TC we could havea C nd G forced induction club. NOS, HyperV6, You, me...Get 68 to get a turobdiesel benz, I think other people here own forced induction. Sounds like a fun club to be in. Chris
  19. Sounds like a nice Truck, blu. Although I would do ext cab. And Green, I like that green as well as the blue. I am thinking my next truck will be Chevy and prob. not Ford. Thinking the 61-66 Bodystyle in a short bed half ton either stepside or fleetside. Thnking I'd like to find 64-66 GMC short bed, but that may be tough. If not that 48-55 Advance design series. Wish I could afford the 41-47 "art Deco" series... Chris
  20. Actually Caddycruiser, I am starting to have some fait that GMwlgte next genration of cars really really right. Hopefully when they can put "all of their eggs in one basket..." Chris
  21. Not sure. I am noticing Toyotas being traded on American Iron around here, and fewer American cars traded in on Toyotas. Chris
  22. Good. Let them give up the Tundra. Or let the plant bleed them dry. Toyota got lazy. They never put the design and marketing $ into Scion to make it keep on going and growing after getting it off of the ground. Chris
  23. Weeping Willow
  24. Do we have any production estimates of # built? Chris
