  1. PA is a cool state. My daughter is working at a summer camp in Philly this summer. Philly I think is one of America's most under rated cities. To me, It's just wonderful. My family spent a really cool partial day at Gettysburg also, want to go back this summmer. I'll have to keep the Harrisburg thing in mind...thanks for giving me something else to look forward to in PA. Chris
  2. ...it needs one of those chain steering wheels... Chris
  3. (how did we go from Cutlass 442 to sword fight?) White Knights
  4. My son's are both into techy and unusual cars. My oldest (16) is into rotary cars...we call him the "rotard" My youngest is being converted away from the Prius, slowly. I intend to fix that permanantly next year when I put a TDI in the driveway. My oldest daughter (19) wants a Chevy truck and is saving her money to buy one. My youngest daughter ( wants a Mustang convertible. My 13 year old daughter lusts after the Solstice. Did I ever say how much I love my daughters? Chris
  5. No, they are not. Nor are hybrids and performance. Diesel cars have their limitations but they have performed brilliantly in Europe for decades. And actually my younger son is a huge fan of the Prius. So we may well have one in the family yet when he gets his first car. Chris
  6. Cutlass 442. Saw a nice one (74ish) on a trailer coming home from work. Car was so nice I almost ran off the road looking at it... Chris
  7. I'd like to meet up with both of you but we're having an autrocross Sunday and the course will be kinda unique, looking forward to running it. Would like to meet both of you guys face to face someday. Chris
  8. Sweater (which works for crochet and knitting, as well as hooker, loose woman, and breasts. And you would need to own a few if you lived in Wisconsin. Top THAT) Chris
  9. The TDI thing to me is really cool (and not to bash Satty's Prius) because as a whole car a TDI is just an order of magnitude better/more enjoyable to own. Even the interior...the VW interior is MUCH more logical and comfortable. For a long trip of 600 miles I think by about eleventy billion to one I'd rather have the TDI for the interior alone. Not to mention what a step up the BMW is from the VW. Personally I'd like to someday own an old benz diesel. Chris
  10. Wisconsin! (I grew up in Wisconsin and spent great times as a kid fishing.) Chris
  11. The Prius guys and the TDI guys "fight" like the Mustang guys and the Camaro guys. Two very different cars for two very differetn types of buyer. Although I've known of families with both a TDI and a Prius. But no, the Prius isn't any more popular with my local TDI VW club than it is here on C and G. Chris
  12. I think the current fad of hybrids will die back if we ever get decent diesel cars here in the US. ...although I actually like the Fusion hybrid... Chris
  13. Not a Prius basher myself, however...read my sig...clean diesel FTW...VW TDI... A diesel car just drives more like a real car. A Prius was perhaps the worst driving car I've ever driven. CHRIS
  14. I agree with Camino, Satty and Dodgefan. We need to be in space...not because we "need to be there" but as a matter of intellectual curiousity about the universe we live in. Chris
  15. That restored and towing a Formula Ford would be perfect for me... If I could drive fast worth a damn. Let me stand corrected... That towing a bass boat....hmmm... Would make a great weekend vehicle. Chris
  16. I'm probably going to get corrected on this, but didn't GM, or perhaps just Chevy, try an X type frame in 58 or something? Chris
  17. I like this way of thinking also. Thank you for your post, it was very thoughtful and gave me some positive things to think about, sir. Chris
  18. These are probably the best 4 ideas here, actually. Chris
  19. Grand Canyon
  20. In reply to the proposal in some ways it doesn't look that bad. Chris
  21. ASS! Thinking of watching females play tennis in short skirts... Chris
  22. Jesus, First Paulino, then GMC truck guy then you...plus a bunch of people here in Ohio loosing jobs. Hope things work out okay for you. Chris
  23. Odd, odd week for me. Monday I saw a bunch of Challengers on the road, including one in that B5 blue I love... Had to drive from Chilicothe to Columbus in the middle of the day to pick up an electronic board from TRANE for a rooftop A/C unit Tuesday. All kinds of two seater cars on the road...I was counting MR2's and Fiero's and came up with 17. Saw a couple of old Alfas and fiats as well. Then yesterday was my Olds day. Really nice 84ish Cutlass, an Aurora, a couple of well preserved old wagons with the fake woodgrain, and a nice 77ish Cutlass. Today I saw some nice older Chevrolet trucks, including a couple of the 1968-1972 bodystyle/ Chris
  24. That same dealer across from the Hot Spot? Chris
  25. Oh, and thanks for the pics, Camino.
