  1. Blizzacks FTW...seriously. I've run them and they make a huge difference. Chris
  2. We have too many Caddy stores around here also. Chris
  3. You should. I saw the coolest 61 Bel Air Fourdoor that had been made into a lowrider, old style, with wide whites and spinner hubcaps, no hydraulics or anything like that. Old GM iron never seem to go out of style. Chris
  4. +1 Bigtime. Let's piss away our heritage completely and then build from scratch. It's got to work at least as well as the last time GM tried that play... Chris
  5. Wow, I love that bodystyle Buick... Chris
  6. Thanks for the links, right now I just want to read about them as I won't have the cash to pull the trigger so to speak for awhile. Glad to know people are fanatical about these. Saw an interesting F body the other day that really got me thinking about these cars...a silver 2002 Camaro that was a replica/pace car for the brickyard (I think it was the brickyard, couldn't get super close in traffic.) I like what you said Longtooth about these cars being the last of the "While Rome as Still Rome" cars. I would agree, which is part of the charm. Chris
  7. I have a basic overview of the 4th gen 'bird (Formula vs. TA, LT1 VS. LS1, etc. ILE, etc.) Would like to know these cars in depth. Websites, stories, anything that would help me learn, please post here. Looked at one today that was about 7,500...nice...Trans AM...Ram Air...94...Silver...but had a salvage title. Think I can do better than that. Still would like an F body in the fleet at some point, but if the economy doesn't improve it ain't gonna come in 2009. Chris
  8. I am hearing you. I would do anything to save Pontiac. Don't think it's gonna happen...so I'm looking elsewhere for inspiration right now because if I think too much about what's going on I am going to get angry and depressed and it just ain't gonna be good. Chris
  9. It will appeal to a certain group or two. Chris
  10. ...also...white HHR SS panel, clean looking...I WANT! Chris
  11. Two very, very clean and very, dvery different cars. 36 Ford, black, Resto Rod, just out of 1951, wide whites, red wheels, just the right rake, probably a merc flathead under the hood, flawless period piece. On Bridge Street Headed north. The one remaining Civic CRX that hasn't been riced, rusted or destroyed here in Ohio, red, on Spring Street, NICE. Chris
  12. Didn't Nostradomas or someone think the world would end in 2012? Hope Chryco is still around in 2012... Chris
  13. I'm with blu, they pretty much own us right now and I don't trust them at all. I remember the tank thing well. Chris
  14. Don't we all. Chris
  15. Actually you may need to take a step back for a minute. My wife and three youngest children went to a really nice art show Sunday. It was nice seeing beauty in the world. There is value, there is worth, there is hope. Don't give up yet. Chris
  16. Agreed in one sense on the name thing. Every time GM gets "equity" in a name, be it Electra,Cutlass, 88, Solstice, Firebird, Coupe DeVille, Roadmaster, Caprice, or whatever, they piss it away by changing the name of the car. Kind of moronic. Chris
  17. ...the Grand National was/is even nicer. And there is the 9700 original mile 3rd gen T/A the other car lot had for sale also... Chris
  18. To me those cars look almost cool with their patina of age and the fact that 25 years later they are still in use in the rust belt. I saw a pristine 87 Grand National and a Pristine 84 442 Olds...at two different classic car dealers. See one here. http://www.arenamotor.com/listings/l0014.html Chris
  19. First gen F bodies never go out of style... Chris
  20. The courts will eff this thing up until its beyond redemption and nobody wins anything. Better order your Challenger NOW, not in September... Chris
  21. Hence why it was stupid to kill the car. It's going to be that much harder to regain their mojo with the next small two seat car since they killed all their mojo in discontinueing the Kappa's. Had they left the Fiero in production, and made it right from the get go, we'd have twenty five years of succesful Fiero production and Mazda, BMW, Honda and Co. would be the ones playing catch up. Chris
  22. Actually I think the people to worry about are Hyundai and Ford, and to a lesser extent Kia. Ford will cover the domestic crowd, and the new Focus is going to be hard to beat. More than consumers reports, financing, warranty and salesmanship will win over the cheap small car crowd, something that Hyundai and Kia are very, very good at at General Motors is an Epic Failure at. Chris
  23. Long Island, New York
  24. Just what we need...this thing to get bogged down in court where no one wins. Chris
