  1. Getting your hands on that Monte would almost make it worth loosing the 'bird
  2. I'll check. Today, of all things... Model A ford, 28-29 roadster... Mach 1 Mustang, 1969, white, nice Ford Torino, 1970 4 door, well preserved Chris
  3. If your really intersted I might be able to get some. Car is in PRIMO condition, hence the price. Chris
  4. Sounds like a winner to me... Chris
  5. ding, ding, ding, we have the correct answer, sir. Chris
  6. Actually...I got a reverse powerflush on my Safari Van, and it worked wonders at getting everything out. Cost me something like 60 bucks and the system was CLEAN after it was done... Now if we could just get it to do a burnout on Brice Road...we'd be all set... Chris
  7. ...yes it is...hope he gets it... Chris
  8. Corvette came after the car I am thinking of... Chris
  9. ...the result of automotive induced Celibacy. Chris
  10. But your Cavalier thread is a good example of what is right about Cheers and Gears. We are all...in our own way...GM fanatics. The Cavi was the car that made me fall in love with small cars. Read about eleventy billion of my posts and you'll see how I feel about small cars. I'm just glad someone else understands the "love" of a Cavi... Chris
  11. But we enjoy it when you are miserable... Chris
  12. ...and one more profoundly stupid thought...but I like it. A Grand Prix instead of a Grand Am as a basis for a truck. Make it more upscale. Chris
  13. ...and Camino...have you ever thought about moving to Austrailia? Utes you can buy off of the showroom floor...the females wear very little on the beach...good climate...lots of new plants for you to play with in your landscaping... And did I mention the part about near nekkid females and Utes? Chris
  14. We need another phantoms thread... Thanks for posting the pic, after reading about how GM is $h!-caning Pontiac, at least I'll have something pleasant to think about while I am going to sleep. Chris
  15. What year was the first Chevy convertible with a power top offered? All Chevrolet convertibles this year came with power tops, if my source is correct... Chris
  16. ...and man...I'd love to have one of those 640 Today. That would be awesome and unusual... Chris
  17. Cool! I wondered how that worked. Thanks, balthazar! Chris
  18. Believe it or not it was a ....Toyota! Shelby American raced two GT 2000 toyota sports cars (the same Toyota Sports car used in the old Bond movie) in C production with Scooter Patrick and Davy Jordan as drivers. Raced in the 1968 season only, and the Drivers ended up third and fourth in the points. Toyotas first Factory backed effort in the US racing scene, BTW... Chris
  19. Agreed. This is a crime. Chris
  20. Actually according to a few sources I read, they started building Civillian trucks in 1944. War ended in 1945. Wonder if farmers needed them during the war effort or something? I would love to know the story behind this... Chris
  21. When did cvillian truck production restart in the 1940's for Chevrolet? Chris
  22. Shelby American, back in the 1960's, once raced a Japanese car for a season in SCCA racing. Name the car, the SCCA class, and the carmaker. Chris
  23. Don't have any pics...but here are the details. It's a 98 or 99 Z24 Convertible, Black with a tan top and tan interior. Yes I know it's ten years newer than what you want but... Female owned, owned by the wife of a police officer I know. (our company offices are across from the police station, and I talk to this guy once in awhile before work. Autotrajic, 52,000 original miles...don't think it's even ever been drivin in the rain. Weekend good weather fun toy only, one owner. Haven't seen the car...but I've seen the other car they are selling a 97 Mustang GT convertible and the Mustang is flawless. I've seen national award winning Mustangs and the Mustang the guy is selling is really "THAT" nice. The Cavi is supposedly even nicer... They want $5200 or so and they don't want to negotiate at all. If you want to come down and see the car, I can set up a meeting and your welcome to crash on my couch. Chris
  24. Oh, and I went to the old Junkyard on blaine highway to see what they had left, someone said that they cleared out a bunch of old cars...and they had. But I got deeper into the yard this time... 56 Olds 4 door post, looked like it was a factory pink and white car, not a faded red either from what I could tell. Did olds ever offer Pink in the 50's? 69 Buick Riviera 69 Pontiac Custom S (yes, for real, if I go back I'm going to take pics) 66 Tempest, red..two door... 65 Galaxie 500 Convertible, light blue 68 Impala Convertible 63 Impala two door hardtop What looked to be a 68 Chevelle, too badly destroyed to tell. 65 Coronet A bunch of old GMC and Chevy trucks Was going back for a better look at the Olds...when a very large buck with a very large rack decided that I was invading "his" space and that I needed to leave. Wish I'd had a gun and a deer tag...and that it was deer season... Also...58 Chevrolet two door Plan on posting pics from the other yard soon, a friend of mine is trying to get them up and posted...I have about a hundred or so... Chris
