  1. We're enjoying the free market effects of the deregulated banking system that Teh Ricer Civic was talking about. How nice of Honda to share in the joy. Chris
  2. +1 Chris
  3. Actually to me this is futuristic, as it looks like a 2016 model. Chris
  4. +1 Chris. I think a small sedan-coupe similar to the 1 series BMW with the Turbo Ecotech and RWD would be a killer Pontiac. Also, a GTO based on the new Camaro, since the new Camaro is roughloy the same size as an older (68-72) GTO. Also, a real full sized Pontiac based on the Lucerne...somthing softer and more elgant than the G8. In Victorian times, it was common to build a femininne and masculine version of the same house next to each other, to compliment each other. I would like to see the same with a Pontiac design-more free flowing and BMW like for a fullsize car (and no Pontiac should not ape BMW). But still the thumpin V8 and GXP package. Chris
  5. I am hoping that is what we see, without further cutbacks. TRUST Me, I'm not saying they should be cut...I would have loved to see the Sky live on as a Buick product. Chris
  6. Saw a whole car carrier load of new Camaro's on rt. 23. That new orange color is the cat's ass on that car. Saw a 39 Pontiac rat rod 4 door...nice to see somthing other than billit and chrome on these older cars. Chris
  7. I used to keep small pleco type fish...there are lots of interesting small catfish from South America. Sadly, the aquarium shop near me that always had interesting fish went the way of the dodo bird. Chris
  8. Dealership network rquirement...some dealers need to sell trucks and sell Cadillacs and Buicks but not Chevy's. Buick is dead...for all practical purposes. It will be interesting to see if Buick comes back. Chris
  9. Over near Lancaster when I was passing through I saw a 68 GTO ragtop, green with a tan top and interior, I think it had keystone mag wheels and looked right out of the 70's, as it was painted a different metallic green than the factory color. Did that GTO show up at any local car show's, blu? Chris
  10. What kind of filter system, and what size tank? I had a lot better luck when I switched to 75 gallon tanks, water quality stayed much more stable. Chris
  11. They put smk4565 in the passenger seat and faced him backwards. The vortex effect with all that hot air brought on the extra 15 miles per hour. Chris
  12. I wouldn't do that unless I'm on a track. Your probably a better driver than I am. Personally, I want guys in white in the corners, as well as an ambulance and med crew nearby if I'm going to get stupid with a car. Just my personal thinking. But like I said...your probably a better driver, and have more balls...than me. Chris
  13. Which is part of the problem. I believe in moderate government and moderate regulation. What we have now is anything but... As you say, we will endure, but to endure and excell are two seperate things. Back to cars, the Solstice did excel (and accelerate!) and will be missed, as will Wilmington. Chris
  14. You know firsthand exactly what I am talking about. Chris
  15. IMHO Honda/Acura has lost their way and I can't say that I find a single car in the lineup I want in my driveway. Used to like the Civic SI...but Balthazar, Oldsmoboi, Carbiz, et al...had some good critiques of it. Chris
  16. Actually feature for feature, best small cars IMHO would be the Mazda 3 (ugly in it's new variant) Focus (Ugly) Civic (two GM dustbuster vans had illicit sex and the Civic is the aborted offspring) Cobalt (better looking but crude). Owning or renting near work and taking a damned bus has never looked so good. Chris
  17. The TT is a wonderfully creative car...... Chris
  18. ...oh...and not having any kind of an energy policy has led to a weak dollar, because of the amount of cash we have shoveled into the Saudi's...those nice close friends of the Bush family. Off my soapbox before I get the rage of Oldsmoboi... Government debt...hmm...reagan...bush 41....bush 43....hmmm... Chris
  19. I blame that utter arch dumb f@#k Reagan for a lot of our current problems, actually. Bush put Reagan's economic ideas into action and we have the worst economy since the depression. If Republicans actually were fiscally responsible and really did bring smaller government...I would vote Republican. I have NO problem with the idea of free enterprise and small government (depending on what you mean by small government). I have a LOT of problems with our current Republican party. ...and Small Government could be to blame...if you look at the lack of regulation in the financial industry that led to the utter cluster f@#k we have now. Off my soap box and back to Pontiacs. Chris
  20. ...love the Impala...but don't like the sound of "my last two Pontiacs" Chris
  21. Thanks for the pics...don't forget you owe us pics when the Camaro shows up in a few years... Chris
  22. Actually this should "clean up" much quicker than the partial nationalization of railroads under Conrail, methinks. It will still however be painful. Chris
  23. No, it isn't.... I think that people who expect things to turn around anytime soon are dreaming. Chris
  24. Looks good, DF! Chris
  25. ...I like seeing you excited about the car! The exhaust thing seems like it will be a nice upgrade...the 3.5 should sound good with that. Chris
