  1. That twilight shot of the rear where your neighbors front lights are on is nice...as is the interior shot with the interior lights on. Chris
  2. Sadly, a lot of good dealers will bite the bullet...including the Chryco dealer where my father in law had his minivan fixed when he visited. Chris
  3. Hispanics drive a high percentage of imported cars, as do Asians, etc. LOTS of market potential for the D3 should they choose to be lean, mean and agressive. I wouldn't write them off just yet, esp. Ford. Chris
  4. Well written piece. Need to get back to some better thinking. Chris
  5. I am thinking that the fundamentals... weak $, (yes I know it helps exports but we need it to buy things like petro) Peak Oil, level of government debt, continued off shoring of jobs...these are structural problems that we will have to face. Not a complete pessimist. Just thinking a LOT of people are out of work right now. But there is tremendous strength in free markets to get things together.... Chris
  6. It would be nice if they could get their act together. GREAT product... We have a Buckeye Miata Club member that brings an S4 Audi out to our local Autocrosses to run. I've ridden along in that car...it will turn as good as it looks. Chris
  7. Me to. A beer once in awhile....or a glass of wine. Last time I was drunk...I was 17. Chris
  8. Worse yet, the roster of talent will be gone from GM. People who bitch about what people in automotive plants make for a living will see a little bit of reality when we are trying to build domestic auto's with $9.00 an hour monkey labor. ...and when the dollar takes a big dump, domestic will be all we can afford, as the conversion rate with the Yen and the Euro will make shiping anything here from elsewhere unprofitable. Unless we are talking about China... Chris
  9. I love VW product, this is the #1 reason I don't have a VW in my garage right now. Over in the TDIclub forums, one of the first things they tell new TDI owners is to never take their car to a dealer, even for warranty service or an oil change. From everything I hear, VW's dealer network is really that bad. Chris
  10. Road America is a great track...plenty of Other Healy's at Mid O. Chris
  11. ...honestly, I don't think ANYONE is safe in this mess. Chris
  12. I had a two door Dodge Omni like that. Brings back memories..thanks! And they did build a "Duster" in that bodystyle. Chris
  13. The earlier Dart bodystyle is really grwoing on me. Did you see the feature on the 383 4 speed 68 Dart they had in Car Craft? My buddy Dave and I were there when they were shooting that feature. They shot it right out front of the Alrosa Villa, where rock and roll guitarist Dimebag Darrel was killed. THAT was a MOPAR to die for...and I'm not kidding. Guy who owned it owned an old Sox and Martin race car as well...one of the nicest guys in the car hobby I've ever met. Chris
  14. Wow...figured this was coming. Hope they build a few more Solstice Targa's before they shut the plant down. A lot of decent hardworking people will be out on the street in this economy. Sucks, because a lot of our creative potential as a nation is going to absolute utter waste. Chris
  15. BTW, DF. Drove to PA this weekend and saw a bunch of cool old cars...my daughter and I had 60+ cool cars on the list we saw. Thought of you- 40 Dodge panel wagon, project, Primer black-sitting on rt. 30 down by Gettysburg. Outside of Harrisburg-56 Plymouth 4 door, sweet, teal and white, looked to be in good shape, but unrestored. Old red 50's Dodge farm truck, still running and in use, Lancaster Amish country. also: 65 Imperial outside of York, PA. Nice, that blue/green/teal color they had, and all of the chrome looked good. What looked to be a 65 Letter car 300 in maroon as we got close to Pittsburg, couldn't get close enough to tell. While Camino and I were eating breakfast at the Hot Spot Cafe, a late 40's tan plymouth pulled up and turned the corner. Looked damn nice from the front, but not so good in the side view. We both thought of you IIRC when we saw that. Chris
  16. ...oh, and sorry to be a poil sport but the car I have aq soft spot for is the RWD 300. It looks wonderful in that lineup. Again, DF, thanks. NICE work. Chris
  17. Yes we do. DF does great work. Wish there was some good way to get more people to our site, there is a lot of talent here. Chris
  18. It's all I thought it would be and more...I agree about the tail light thing. Nice ride. Should eat up the midwest interstate with no problems. Chris
  19. Thanks for the pics Camino! I'll look forward to seeing your work used "in anger" at the vintage races at Mid Ohio. Chris
  20. Like the color combo on the top pic. Is that tan or grey leather inside...i can't tell. Chris
  21. Seriously...the only two state with two cities is Ohio. Wouldn't want to live in Cincy, too far right politically. Some people love Cleveland but to me it needs removed from the earth. I've lived in Atlanta, pluses and minuses...but not where I'd want to live long term. Chris
  22. Going back to your phantoms thread...a 64-65 chev Sedan delivery/panel would just be the cat's ass!. I have a very real soft spot for this body style. I remember a beautiful light metallic blue 65 Malibu SS ragtop that used to run around my old home town of Muncie, IN. Factory 4 speed car! When I was a teenager, girl next doors boyfriend drove a red 65 SS Malibu. Damn, I just miss the days when those cars were everywhere. Chris
  23. I may be able to make it, depends on our "on call" schedule. Chris
  24. Sorry to sound disloyal to GM, but I am a huge Healy fan. Thanks, Camino! Chris
