  1. Happy Birthday...it's my son's 16th! Glad you two share a birthday... Chris
  2. Toyota...moving forward...under GM power.... (notice the GM tow vehicle) EPIC FAIL! Chris
  3. Sounds like a good ride none the less. Chris
  4. People do stupid things...similar post happened awhile back on a Mustang Forum. IIRC the guy tried to put sand through his motor to port and polish the valves in his cylender heads. Chris
  5. ...and really for a daily driver aren't that much to worry about. Chances are, the car will be much Hotter, Flatter, and more Crowded (to paraphrase a popular book title) in about 5 years anyway. Amazing how some cars rust and others don't. I've seen identical Jettas lead identical lives...one car looks like a 4 month old car from Arizona, one will get you wet when you drive it through a big puddle because the floors/doors/firewall/every other metal part pretty much is an order of magnitude rustier than DF's Shadow. And I'm not making this up. Sitting in a local junkyard...saw a poor Olds 98 From the 70's...rusted so bad that I could put my fist through the C pillar. Amazing. And then a 67 Olds that had been an Ohio car sitting not far away...ran my fingers alongside the rear quarters, under the doors...pretty much seemed like a car from the dry Southwest. Go figure. Chris
  6. Save me a ticket, please! I love Sexuality used in thoughtful ways in movies. Chris
  7. For some reason a BMW, done up like a car for the British Touring Car series, comes to mind. Chris
  8. Stuart Kaminsky has a great series of detective novels set IIRC in the glory days of hollywood (back in the 40's). Main charactor is funny as hell and drives a Crosley. Chris
  9. Nahhh...even if you ran both cars at top speed viewers would think the film was running in slow motion and loose interest. Chris
  10. More lesbian sex scenes, of course. Chris
  11. I'm not sure Chenny was the Dick association that the rest of the posters were talking about when they talked about screwing and porn in their movie. I would like to go the opposite direction in a movie...fantasy movie set in the whole middle ages thing where some just/good kingdom or society has to fight for their lives against some great evil or invader. Chris
  12. Love the Solstice coupe in the sig. I am not a fan or porn, but I'd like to make a movie with a lot of casual nudity in it. It would be fun IMHO to make a movie where the only person who doesn't get naked is the good looking blonde female. Chris
  13. The real life version of that is the Ann Arbor group of the TDI VW club. Great group of guys who share an apartment and an auto repair buisiness working on mostly diesel VW's...and automotive induced celibacy. Again, sounds like a good movie. Chris
  14. We've already got that one...it's called the evening news. Seriously, the best horror involves dread not gore...and your smart enough to make people think with a movie you'd make. Waiting to buy popcorn and sit in the stadium seating during your movie... Chris
  15. Yes you do....and I hope Cory is not offended at this. 24 hours of Lemons is kinda fun...I'd like to try it sometime. Chris
  16. I saw one just like that...even green...today. Ran a service call down in Portsmouth...it sits in a side yard down off 8th street down by State electric/Central industrial. Good looking car. Chris
  17. Me too. A bunch were running around when I was a kid...they were more common than Camry's are now. God, I miss those days. Chris
  18. Nearest Chryco dealer to me is going down...but the dealer I wanted to see live (Whiteside) lived. Chris
  19. ...there are indeed. I just never aspired to own...er...um...a Cressida. Chris
  20. I could deal with that... The Challenger is really growing on me. Maybe Chryco should keep the Viper plant to build Challengers, bring out a Wrangler and Grand Cherokee that resemble their previous and not current efforts, and deep six everything else. Maybe they could keep the RAM. Chris
  21. I don't think that Toyota is terrible, I just don't think that they build very creative cars. IMHO, since the Celica of the early 1970's, the only two creative cars they have done are the second gen MR2 and the first gen xB. Other than that...they are just...bland.... Glad your enjoying what must be the last 84 Cressida on the road. Chris
  22. This is in jest, but BV was the first person I thought of when I saw this... http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightline/2009...;mktid=cj260233 Chris
