  1. I still can't believe Pontiac is gone. Chris
  2. Things may indeed really really go to $h! permanantly. Chris
  3. Believe me, I know how you feel. I had a neighbor once who worked for GM. He talked about what it would be like when GM had to build a Cadillac on a VW Chasis...sad thing is, we're going to have the VW chasis but no Cadillac with the way we are going. Chris
  4. What are you talking about? The Chinese will buy Buick, and it will be around another 150 years. Our inability to deal with our energy issues ( the ones we should have started dealing with in 73 or 74) will kill GMC. Obama doesn't have to do anything but talk about what a messiah Gethner is. GM's General inability to manage itself should see it gone by 2022 at the latest. Chris
  5. ...also liked the 57 ragtop. My grandfather owned one...LONG time since I've seen the car or pics of it...but IIRC it had a tri-power on it. Chris
  6. I would concur with the Cutlass, having owned two. Give me a 70-72 Ragtop Cutty...preferably with an open road, a sunny day, and no where in particular to go. Chris
  7. I think the point being made is that we are going to be starved for desireable, marketable product from here on out. Who wants to bet that in 2017 were "rationalizing" the death of Cadillac or Chevrolet? Chris
  8. The sad thing is that in the midwest you seemingly never see either variant of GP (69-72 or 62-68). The 69-72 cars were awesome. Make mine an SSJ. Chris
  9. Sorry to hear about the Bonnie being injured. Someone ran into the wife's car at Columbus State the other week and drove off without leaving a note. People are idiots. Chris
  10. Agreed. Chris
  11. I've actually heard that German girls give it up quite easily. The Routan is my least fav. VW product by far...it's a running joke amoung the VW faithful as well, from the old air cooled guys to the young ricers to the TDI crowd. Chris
  12. ...or that those of us who are liberal granola asswipes might prefer a small car like a Solstice, MINI, Cobalt SS, Volvo C30, Honda Fit, Miata, etc. Or even a Kia Soul or a Hyundai Accent for that matter. I wish that Ford would indeed have a Euro Focus on the showroom floor. An SVT version of that would be HOT! A G3 would be a great donor vehicle...for a beer can. Chris
  13. God I'd love to own a Firehawk. Chris
  14. Just tell her its better than a seemingly endless turnover of mistresses. Chris
  15. Believe it or not, when I was 17, back in 1993, I was working at a summer camp in Indianapolis. There was a bright red 74 SD T/A, one owner, sitting for cheap on a downtown used car lot. I almost bought it, but didn't feel like giving up my 70 Chevelle that I was then driving. Voting for Reagan in '84 and not buying that car that July afternoon are the two things I regret most from my teenage years. I can still remember that car 26 years later...it had a Tan interior. How many 74 SD TA's came red with a tan interior? It may have been the only one. God what a car...I can remember the rumble of the V8 through the seat of my pants even today. Chris
  16. The really seductive GP's were those of the sixites. 67 GP Ragtop anyone? ...and I'm still a holdout for the 70's RWD cars, and the 80's Aerocoupes. Chris
  17. It was a very touching, emotional post for those of us who love(D) Pontiac and what it stood for. This is one of the best things I've read all week, and I agree 100 percent. Chris
  18. Nice work, Camino! Chris
  19. The Intrepid is about eleventy billion times better looking than the TL and the TSX also.... Keep US POSTED! Chris
  20. http://www.duramaxforum.com/forum/6-5l-die...-5l-w-pics.html Enjoy! Chris
