  1. It is still fighting for life on both coasts, I think. But a modded civic is actually less common around here than a Grand National or a (1990's) Impala SS. Chris
  2. We don't build buildings like that anymore. Wow, that must have been so...elegant and classy in its day. I wish I had $13 mil to blow, plus the rahab costs... Chris
  3. Actually several of the cars on the list are rather creative. The MGA twincam was a joke in terms of how it blew up...but it was very advanced thinking, in that so many motors today are built with overhead cams like that.... Chris
  4. But they won't. they will kill the sister car, SKy when the kill Saturn, and they can't keep Wilmington running on 300-1200 cars a month. They need to set themselves up for small scale production like Chrysler did with the Prowler, I think...if they could. IIRC the Prowler was built at the same small volume facility that makes the Viper. Chris
  5. I just love this generation of Buick....one of my fav. GM cars, actually. I've thought HARD about buying one as a ragtop someday.... Chris
  6. Ouch!....is it a write off....or being fixed....? Chris
  7. Thanks for the pic, keep posting.... Chris
  8. That is MUCH better looking, actually.... Chris
  9. I think it would be great to keep the Solstice in production....putting this on a Solsitce would be great! Chris
  10. I wish Obama luck also, along with every other person in office. We need both the right and the left here I think....we need to get away from the idea of deficit spending and borrowing for everything, and we need a safety net for the millions of hard working Americans who are about to loose their jobs and be unable to support their families. Chris
  11. This would be my thought on the matter. To have Pontiacs heritage and pack in the towel is sort of like winning a football game by going back to the locker room and pulling off the pads before kickoff. Sad, really. Chris
  12. As a fan of architecture, the destruction of Detroit as a city is the rape of the century in terms of destroying our heritage. Sad, really. Chris
  13. TRD needs to build real performance parts to sell to real racers, autocrossers, etc. In order to be competitive. Other than the occasional MR-2, Toyota is almost non-existant in autocross from what I can tell, as well as SCCA and NASA road racing. The whole import drag thing seems to have dried up, and most of the people into the whole drifiting thing are drifting cars other than Toyota's. The whole Scion TC thing is its own little cultural thing, but unless your a poser in LA or some other highly asian area, I don't think that many people are into modding them. It's just for Austrailia...but they aren't doing much in the USA, at least as far as real, sancitioned automobile racing goes. I don't really follow the whole trophy truck/baja thing, they may compete there, I really don't know.... Chris/66
  14. Interesting, car related....kinda silly, but tell me what you think.
  15. That takes my breath away...wonderful. Thanks for posting these pics... Chris
  16. +1 on a future in photog. vor Viper. Chris
  17. I agree on the Imperial...it's a great design. Chris
  18. Only reason i said that is that when I had the 66 Fastback Mustang the rear window glass wasn't being reproduced and rear window glass for these cars was hard to find and ungodly expensive...probably is reproduced now, as whole fastback bodyshells are being reproduced. I really would like to own a unique old fullsize car someday... Thanks again for posting pics of the wagon!~ Chris
  19. Nice looking truck! Chris
  20. I think GM crushes a lot of buyback/lemon cars that are perfectly good or repairable, from what I have heard from several sources. Chris
  21. I've been there, it is fabulous. Chris
  22. I sometimes shorted car nams when posting here, but almost never do in real life. To me it is a sign of affection to call a Cobalt a 'balt. Chris
  23. Kinda like my local Toyota dealer claiming to be evironmentally friendly by tearing down their current dealership and building a "green"dealership... Chris
  24. We need a national automotive museum to keep these things safe and preserved. Chris
