  1. I tend to avoid buy here pay here like the plauge. Find a one owner car, and negotiate a fair price. GM built eleventy-billion of what your looking for...so finding a good car shouldn't be hard. Chris
  2. Niether do I. Chris
  3. I liked the little two door old Calais...esp. W a quad 4. Chris
  4. This is just beyond terrible as a new vehicle. If this is what we are going to get from our carmakers, the end of petroleum and the return of the steam locomotive and the passenger train can't come fast enough. Chris
  5. Shame about the bird, neighbors a block over have a red 67 firebird ragtop that's been sitting under about a billion bikes, sleds, blankets, puzzles, ice skates, and so forth for about the last seven years. Sad to see a Bird die. Chris
  6. I like it...but can you imagine finding side glass for it if some kit accidently put a baseball through one of the rear wagon windows? Seriously, I would love to have that to cruise around in if it were properly restored. Chris
  7. Actually, Satty, I really like it. Chris
  8. I kind of like this thinking, we are going to have two more drivers in the house and I am going to have to have another cheap, reliable car. Chris
  9. Actually the Quad 4 was a brilliant motor, just needed a wee bit more development. Chris
  10. +1 on a big block four speed split bumper car... Chris
  11. If I had a GN I would race it...but yeah, it is hard to find them. Chris
  12. Actually I don't know why people think high school girls are always bad drivers. I know a few that used to race Karts, autocross, road race, drag race etc. There is one around here in particular that looks like she's about 12 years old...and has handed plenty of guys their ass on an autocross course. Around here, the Cobalt has a pretty good demographic of buyers. Since you seem to like porn Satty, let's jsut say that around here, the Cobalt has plenty of penetration but it's not deep enough. Chris
  13. +1 for driving skills and +1 for posting pics of the new ride, Mr Golden! That being said, I can't imagine anything built by hyundai or Kia ever trumping a domestic or a Japanese vehicle, much less one from Europe. Don't get me wrong, but even without the ABS, I would have been all over a Cobalt or a Mazda 3...or for that matter an Astra, now that dealers are performing sexual acts if you test drive or buy. (not quite, but they are damn near giving them away.) Chris
  14. Not trying to offend you, I am trying to work within the system. right now we have about 20 people who post here regularly and it is fairly intelligent, at least compared to the Mustang forums or Scion forums or whatever. They aren't going to sell the site, and the site won't get updated as regularly as it has for awhile. However, I trust the judement of the moderators and posters here...and want ot work within the system. If you have other ideas other than going commercial or selling the site...let's hear them! Chris
  15. GM does need to be more positive and agressive in their advertising, for sure. Chris
  16. Kimura this is a wonderful idea...I really like it! Posts like this are what keep me coming back to C and G and give me hope...and I'm not being sarcstic. This is the kind of clear, simple, logical thinking that GM needs badly right now. Chris
  17. I am very Sarcstic also, FOG. Chris
  18. Camino, Ted, et al...I am willing to do whatever ya'll need to help out around here. Personally I love the place, and actually love all of the guys (and GM partsgirl) here. Chris
  19. I agree...I personally dislike the design of most Nissan automobiles, and dislike their buisiness practices. I noticed the same thing in a Honda ad and a Nissan ad last night. usually I don't watch TV, but I've been to the emergency room twice and the doctor once with an ear infection from hell...and it's tough to do much when they give you Percocet for pain. But keep posting FOG, at least I'm reading and paying attention. Chris
  20. AAS,you do currently have the Camaro in your sig, right? Chris
  21. That sweet little truck needs to make someone a nice weekend driver. Chris
  22. I agree balthazar. Back in the 50's and 60's, creative competition with corporate support worked really well for GM. Once they tried to homogonize themselves, they lost part of theiur identity and things went wouth from there. Chris
  23. With a big block and fresh sheet metal? With slick paint that Nova would bring 10-12K around here... At least before the economy went way south...I haven't followed muscle car prices much but I know they've gone in the toilet the past few months. Chris
  24. Interesting, I've wondered if a few people here were "ghost posters" or "sock puppets" of sorts. Maybe I'll slide over to the B-59 forum in search of Sylvester... Chris
