  1. +1 Bigtime! Chris
  2. Real estate on a bus line is looking better and better...between this and the new Maxima...two of the ugliest cars ever penned by the japanese, or any other nation for that matter. Chris
  3. I do also! I am not getting "warm fuzzies" thinking about this at all... Chris
  4. Sweet! Loved the fabrication work. Makes me miss my 55 chev, though. Chris
  5. I'd prefer the Suburban, myself. Going back to our other thread...I'd really love one with a diesel. And that sweet Allison tranny. That would be the "A" ticket, methinks. Chris
  6. A diesel G8 would be a car I would buy in a second. Too bad Gm didn't put more thought into their diesels in the early 80's. Several of my friends in high school had parents who had these. Pulling down 40+ MPG in an Olds 88 running 80 plus MPH...Now your cooking with gas (or diesel, as it were). We got 46-47 MPG in a Pontiac Grand Prix once. Chris
  7. Let's hope McCain continues to implode in his quest for the white house. Chris
  8. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 26 2008, 09:07 PM) I seen dem truk nuts the other day on a Dodge Ram, the truk was blak but the nutz was blu like a po-lice light, I thuink it was been a few dayz since that Dodge rammed a Toyo-dur Tah-coma. Lord God Almighty, I'd hate to see the "love child" of THAT union. Chris
  9. QUOTE (MikeyMo84 @ Oct 26 2008, 06:52 PM) you need truck nutz on the back of that thing I've seen truck nutz on the back of a Miata, and on the back of Nash Metropolitan. Chris
  10. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 26 2008, 06:03 PM) Apparently this old beat up, rusted Buick that looks as if it survived two tours of duty in Afghanistan and two dozen hailstorms is mistaken for a 9C1 Caprice quite often, & I get asked all the time by kids and adults if it IS or less often, WAS a Police car. Don't ever restore that car, please. I love the "patina." Seriously. Chris
  11. QUOTE (FUTURE_OF_GM @ Oct 27 2008, 12:42 PM) It's ok man.. Most imports can generally be confused for other imports all of the time... I mean, they're all bland, organic and awkward looking, so go figure. Except for the Pious... It looks 'extra special' awkward and sad, much like it's drivers. Given that the planet has too many people fighting for too little space...isn't a car (like the Prius) that produces celebacy a GOOD thing? Chris
  12. QUOTE (MyerShift @ Oct 26 2008, 11:21 PM) Strange things said about my car? Well, for my Mk V Golf (Volkswagen Rabbit) the strangest thing I've heard is that... "It's a gay looking car." I don't get it. It isn't a gay looking car. No gay guy (other than Blckviper) would be caught dead in one. But I still lust after the GTI, both the first/second gen and the current one. Chris
  13. In all seriousness...you have a really cool mind, you need to try your hand at writing Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Seriously. With your understanding of people and what makes them work from your years in the car biz, I bet it would be a good book. Chris
  14. There is a Jesus for President sign at the exit ramp from Rt 23 onto I-270 on the north end of town. Ohio is full of Morons just like you describe... Chris
  15. Impressive! Thanks, Camino. Chris
  16. Also, to add one thought to the debate..TDI rules! People in my local TDI group are both Democrats and Republicans, so I guess it has less political baggage than the Prius. Chris
  17. +1 Although watching them drive down the road is about as boring as watching a walrus take a dump. Chris
  18. Or visually challenged...but you own a couple of great Mustangs so we'll forgive you. Chris
  19. No, your wrong. given the fact that Satty drives a Prius, I am quite sure that his girlfriends vibrator gets quite the workout. Sorry Satty, that one was just too easy. Chris
  20. GM needs to build Halo cars like the Solstice. I want a solstice really badly, it is about 1 of 5 GM cars that I really like and would consider buying. Watching a Solstice GXP show GM tail-light at the last Auto-cross to a bunch of WRX-STI's, S2000's and the like convinced me once again that GM can be truely great. They can build both cool cars and daily drivers. And I agree, I'd rather see them die than sell only rebadged Kia trash. Chris
  21. Actually having owned a Cutlass from the era...the midsized Gm cars didn't do badly at all. I got 21-22, sometimes 23 with my car. Not bad at all for a 307 4V car. Chris
  22. We are just in so much trouble if we elect that assclown McCain. I used to really like him, but I think he's sold his soul to the neocons in hope of becoming president. Chris
