  1. I believed you, Camino... Hope that counts for something! Chris
  2. I actually liked the older sorta a 7/8 sized Tundra much better. For a light duty pickup (pull a formula race car such as a formula ford, or a popup camper) it was about right. For an enclosed trailer and a Camaro/Mustang sized race car or a fullsized camping trailer or an open trailer with a tractor or excavating equipt....pass me the fullsize Chevy with the Allison tranny, please... Chris
  3. A lot of us will be stuggling to eat before it is all over with. Chris
  4. This makes me long for the days of Jimmy carter, who thought before he acted. yes, we lost face with the hostage thing, but we didn't loose a single life, and a lot of moderates in Iran admired us, and continue to do so to this day. Bush/McCain got us into a war we don't need to be in, cost us three trillion dollars, 4000+ lives, 30,000+ injured, loss of far more face around the world than the hostage crises ever could have... I would vote for Carter in an instant over McCain, Bush, or Reagan. Chris
  5. Nahhh...Iran is in MUCH better hands...at lest Ahmadinejad can speak without 50 handlers telling him what to say. Chris
  6. +1 Chris
  7. We've shipped so many jobs overseas... Maybe someone in China will think about us when they are buying their car... Chris
  8. +1 Impala is still a very nice car. I didn't like it when it first came out, but the longer I look at the current gen car, the more I like it as a family car. Chris
  9. Overall, I am happy to see this. IMHO Nissan builds crappy cars, and I wish them all the declne they can find. Chris
  10. ...and I find myself locked out on two accounts, because I love both the old and the new, so I seem to alienate both groups with equal passion. Seriously, I think GM is on the right track, and I like where there products are going...in about 2003 or so I could have seen myself never buying another GM car. Right now, I'd kinda like to never be without one again. Cobalt, I like it, the Cruze, Volt, Solstice, Sky, Aura, Malibu, Equinox is nice, Enclave is wonderful as is the Lucerne, CTS is awesome, C6-z06 is world class, G6 is a good car for its price point... I am actually getting optomistic about the future and about GM Chris
  11. Obama is just loved in most of the rest of the world, while W is hated. I have had several friends travel overseas, and they get very regular questions about how the hell we elected such an idiot. I think they will be asking the same question if we elect McCain. Chris
  12. +1 Chris
  13. Other than the fact that say Germany or switzerland or sweeden have much higher productivity than we do and also much higher taxes. Chris
  14. That child is disturbed. Chris
  15. Few people will ever believe that, although it is true. I got into a debate with a parent at my suns Cub Scout pack campout Saturday about these bail outs. Other parent basically tried to assert that Clinton mandated subprime lending while he was in office and that it was ultimately Clinton's fault that the banking system was a mess. What an idiot! Chris
  16. I miss cars like this... Sigh.... Chris
  17. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Chris
  18. +1 Although one of our longstanding Chevy dealerships and Grahm Ford, which has been in Columbus "forever" are shutting down. We are starting to see lots of dealerships here in the midwest go under, and others are very slow. Chris
  19. A bmw 1 series would still be a coll car to own, we had one racing at the Autocross yesterday...sweet car...fun to watch it run through the cones! Chris
  20. One of the best things GM has done in a really long time. Chris
  21. Story #1. I have witnesses for this.. I am an electrician, and have been wiring up an automated car wash. We are getting done with it, and getting it open...on site finishing a couple last odds and ends. Woman drives in in a Camry. Puts the windows DOWN when the wash starts...When the wash is shut off and she is asked why she did that, she replies "It's such a pretty car wash, I just wanted to see how it worked..." Story #2, Witnesses for this also. Ricer kid in the neighborhood who is really, really none to bright and drives a Mitsu 3000 GT wanted a set of 20" rims so he could have "Dubs" Buys them, along with a carbon fiber hood and a body kit (along with Neons and other goodies). 20" wheels are too wide for the car, and have the wrong bolt pattern...but the kid realizes that he can make them "Fit" by grinding off two of the lugs and attaching them with 3 lug nuts. Wheels are mounted but too wide for proper steering articulation. Mr not so brite tries taking a turn fast with the car in this configuration. Both front wheels come off at speed, and the car suffers heavy damage. Story #3. Going home from work today, was following behind a black intrepid...and the driver kept going strait on the exit from I-270 for no apparent reason and drove right off the road. (can you say Brain Fade?) Just thought ya'll could use a good laugh. Chris
  22. He's presidential in the same way that W is presidential. Although W at least seems likeable. I can't say that I find McCain even likeable. Chris
  23. Honestly, if it were Bush vs. McCain I would vote for Bush. Although I am proud to say that I've voted against the Bushes 3x. My father voted against Nixon 3x (60, 68, 72) We will both proudly vote against a far worse candidate, John McCain, in November. Chris
