Which is why I'm voting for Obama. Reagan, a president that deserves a grade of F and is actually one of our worst presidents ever...highest deficits ever to that point. Bush Sr. = Worse deficits than reagan Bush Jr = worse deficits yet. The idea that any modern Republican will reduce deficits is just pure fantasy. Democrats tax and spend, Republicans borrow and spend. Chris

The I-6 is a great idea. My 57 Bel Air hardtop was originally an I-6 car, and lots of cool cars (BMW"S, then original 240Z etc) are I-6. Chris

That Buick convertible is just awesome-the 68-72 intermediates were some of the best cars GM ever built. I would LOVE to see them back in production, but that will never happen. Chris

But the number 1 issue for me is the Debt-Deficit, and I don't trust the republicans after being lied to by Reagan, Lied to by Bush Sr, and Lied to by Bush Jr. For 30 years they've been saying they arewanting to do something about it, but the debt always seems to go up faster under the Republicans. Republicans will reduce deficit spending about the time Toyota builds a 455 Powered 442 Droptop Cutlass with a 4 speed and an 8 track. Chris

The really nice thing about Theocracy is that it is self curing. Iran has a lot of people who really no longer want to live under Sharia law. The best thing to do would be to abolish religious thinking altogether, but good luck with that idea. Chris

I think the 17's would be just fine on a five door, the 18's look goooood on the two door/threedoor though. If you get one get blue or silver, IMHO. Chris

...and it was when GM advertised and marketed the car. My cousin Gregg had a black 79, IIRC with T-tops. I had a good friend in College that had a 79 or so Z that was white with T-tops and blue stripes...I can still feel the rumble of the duals from that thing. ...and who can forget the 79 or so Z-28 they destroyed in Fast Times at Ridgemont High? IIRC it was Sean Penn's stoner charactor that wrecked it.... Chris

Evidently they were wrong enough that GM made it wrong wheel drive and then discontinued the car. I would LOVE to own another Cutlass. I had a Cutlass when my wife and I were dating....we took some wonderful trips in that car...including one across part of Canada that was one of the all-time best times of my life. Ahhh...for REAL cars again. Chris

They were incredible cars. A sixty 5 Supersport Hardtop (2 door) lived on each side of me growing up. Damn, I miss those cars. Chris

I can relate to the prewar car lust, 68. I am thinking a V-8 Ford or a Stoveboltn 6 Chevy may very well be in my future. But I want it stock and original, if possible. I could handle a street rod but... I really want say a 36 Ford so bad I can't stand it. Chris
