  1. Exactly...why I am not much of a Dog person. To me Dogs are hazzards to joggers, cyclists, people who want to keep their yards nice, motorcyclists, children, etc. Plus they are sometimes loud and destructive. There are days I think I could actually handle dogs going extinct. I don't really have a problem with dogs, just the idiots that seem to own them. OTOH, my very good friend Ric has a $h!su (sp) which is a great dog. Hard to argue with a dog with a personality that good, and he loves to ride in my Miata with the top down. Chris
  2. Sky actually is outselling Solstice IIRC. I am one of about 7 people in North America that seems to prefer the Pontiac of the two. Although my neighbors down the street just bought a bright red Solstice and love it. Chris
  3. Or poor merchandising and product placement. The Astra is a great car, as is the G8. But the G8 being slow does not bode well for the upcoming Camaro. Chris
  4. Comparing The Impala to the Altima is a little like comparing miss California to Oprah. Lots of people here enjoy Nissan products, but IMHO they mostly just plan suck. Chris
  5. There are those of us here (me for instance) that like small cars and will pay apremium for a good one. The Fit is an order of magnitude better than a Yaris or Versa, and I'd gladly pay 5K more for a similar FIT. Seriously. Chris
  6. Garage...we don't NEED a garage...(O.K., maybe an aircraft hanger) I'd love to ahve a 72 LTD ragtop, last fullsized ford convertilbe ever built. Along with a Buick, or perhapps Caddy ragtop from the era. A freind of a friend has an 76 Caddy ragtop, not one of the final 200 but white on red none the less. Sweet cars, I miss seing them on the road. Chris
  7. It is a nice car...I like it! Chris
  8. Keep us posted! Chris
  9. Actually Lambo had an SUV also that kinda looked like this... Chris
  10. That's real damned good! Chris
  11. My old neighbor Jay had a rel legit ZL-1 69 Camaro, as well as 3 69 Z-28's (one of which was a 4wheel disc brake car with the cross ram 2X4 carb set up.) They were legit 69 Z's also. He went through a LOT of tires... Chris
  12. Actually I'd like to add a Fit and a MINI to my fleet... Get one of those good looking Fury's from the early 70's with the hideaway headlights...a very menacing looking car, and it would look fabulous next to the B-59. Alex Baron, my high school Gym teacher/football coach (didn't play FB, just kept stats, etc.) drove one. It had a slightly bent front bumper, and ole Alex was an NFL sized guy with a mean look to him. Made people NOTICE when that damned car came in the parking lot... (As an aside, Alex wasn't menacing at all, he was a great teacher and a great guy...) But seriously, a Fury 2 Dr HT (go back and re-read your own posts about the B- Piller thingie, the HARDTOP is the one ya want...) would be the Cat's ass. Chris
  13. I am liking the Fit also, as well as the Nissan Cube and a few other of the new "small" cars. They are cool in a funky sort of way. And your write, blu writes very well. Chris
  14. If people had bought the RSX, they would ahve kept it. Chris
  15. The train is better looking.... Chris
  16. Really....I'd have thought it was a real "tank" to park. Was the avi ever available with Diesel? Chris
  17. I'm voting for Obama but I've voted for plenty of Republicans in the past. Chris
  18. Wow, Saab is on its ass... Chris
  19. What we need is a Medium duty SUV with real diesel power. 23 m.p.g., enough tourque to haul a real camping trailer, easier to park than Oldsmoboi's Avi, etc. But I'm dreaming, I think. Chris
  20. ...But it's still not as cool as the AVI.... Chris
  21. The EV-1 Really was a cool car, but as the link says, it wasn't ready for prime time. Volt should be fabulous, however. Chris
  22. Welding in floors is really NOT that hard, esp. if your not building a showcar. Chris
