  1. You are right, nothing built today holds a candle to this... Chris
  2. First gen TT was an awesome car, second gen a little bland... Really like the R8, and how can you argue with winning Lemans? Chris
  3. Vote republican, you;ll get all the lies and cheating you can handle...Oh wait, this isn't supposed to be a political forum. Chris
  4. Audi is just sooo sweet. Real Jeeps are cool, Patriots are not so much... The last Chrysler product I really liked was the prowler, as well as the LX series cars and the first gen Neon. Chris
  5. Join the SCCA and become a corner worker, you'll see LOTS of people do stupid stuff and wreck cars. It's especially fun when they wreck Vipers. I just love seeing damn near any MOPAR product destroyed. Chris
  6. Keep us posted, like I said this Sucks! Chris
  7. I just love that car, and the earlier version of that car. The three Japanese cars that I really, really love... First gen 240Z car First gen RX-7 First/Second Gen Miata That Z is an awesome driver, and my kind of car, auto non-withstanding. That being said, I've been looking at a couple of Aurora's. Maybe we have more in common than I thought...welcome back, Fly! Chris
  8. IMHO Bush has done more damage to the U.S. than any other president ever. Chris
  9. This is why Honda is one of my fav. car companies. Just gotta love Honda technology. Chris
  10. Last car show I attended was won by a really nice 55 red on white 2 door hardtop...guy bought the car for $53,000 and then stripped it down to the frame for a nut and bolt rebuild. Fabulous car, but the guy has about 130k in it... Beyond my budget for sure... Chris
  11. Keep us posted dude, I am sooo sad and angry about this...hell I don't know you personally and this thing has gotten me torn up. Keep us posted for real. Chris
  12. Satty, the rise in $ is why I no longer drive "Classics." I sold my 55 a few years ago....you can still find decent drivers for about 15-20k for tri-5 chev's. Chris
  13. Keepus posted on Kim...is she going to be all right? My wife's name is Kim and I am just sick at the thought of your Kim being hurt... Chris
  14. Buy the worlds cleanest first gen Neon for both and call it a day. Our old Totaled van like your moms is still at the body shop about 3 years later, it was fixed and puyt back on the road and then the tranny blew. 60k orig miles, white, and I might be able to get it for you with a tranny for your mothers price limit. PM me if your interested. I',m also potentially just junking my old Mazda, would sell it for a song to your brother if he can drive manual... Again PM me if your interested. Also know of a clean Ford Contour automatic car that might fall in range... Chris
  15. 68 your right...The good ole days of Nascar are gone forever. Chris
  16. Nothing wrong with making money hand over fist.... Too bad the railroads don't make money hand over fist, they are one of the best ways to ship things without using a lot of fuel. Chris
  17. I am one of those guys that gets discouraged easily, please pardon the tone of my post, DF. I just remember the good ole days of the 90's when Neons were kicking Honda ASS at every SCCA road race and auto X, the Intrepid/Concorde were still in production, etc. The new vans are nice, maybe I just need to get used to them. Right now the Safari is serving as a work van and I am enjoying it's ability to be used as a work truck. But my inlaws Chryco vans have been very good indeed. Chris
  18. Interestingly enough...I saw 3 desireable cars flattened and on a truck headed for the shreder. mid sixties (65 I think) Buick ragtop 67-68 Mustang Fastback 66-67 2 door hardtop olds with 442 badges on it. All looked to have been restorable before they were crushed. Sixty-Eight...sad to say, the 70's and 80's cars are disappearing by the boatlaod around here. I've seen whole Semi-Loads of Chrome Bumper RWD cars going down Ohio 104. I pass by Columbus Steel Products/Buckeye Steel on the way home from work...and there are a bazillion 70's-80's restorable cars getting flattened. This whole topic makes me really, really sad... Chris
  19. +1 Chris
  20. Audi's do shift really sweetly... Chris
  21. I'm a closet Audi fan also, I'm just dieing to buy a clean first gen TT (My son Joel turned me on to these and I also can't sleep jights thinking about them). Good luck and post pics... Chris
  22. For $5,700 they will let you smell the glovebox, methinks... Chris
  23. Seems as if the Columbus Blue Jackets actually beat the wings earlier in the year. Would be nice someday if we won the cup... But better Americans than Canadians winning it (with my apologies to VonVeezilsnider and Carbiz.) Chris
  24. ...an old post...but WOW! Chris
